As I often do, drive around and search Yelp for little hidden gems around town, I came across Le Rendez-Vous in Colton off 9th and Valley. Id have to say it looks to be a new establishment and can easily be passed by, at first glance, it almost seemed unopened, especially with the billboard out front saying restaurant space available. So, dont be alarmed, they are definitely open and thriving! To start, I was impressed with the immediate service, the server welcomed me, sat me at my booth, and immediately took my beverage order. I was given a perfect amount of time to look over the menu before being approached for my order. Being a private establishment, the menu wasnt very descriptive, just sort of giving the bare minimum of the menu items, which didnt really bother me as I just used Yelp to look at photos that others have posted, although, from a business stand point, it would benefit the business to add some photos of their popular plates; like the Stuffed French Toast, the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, the Rack of Lamb, and possibly the Monte Christo which all look extravagantly delightful! On this go around (as I must come back to try some of the other dishes) I had the chicken fried steak, over-easy eggs, with red potatoes, and substituted my toast for a biscuit and gravy. Overall the food was pretty good, Ill be honest that I wasnt blown away, but Ill be honest again that I devoured my serving. The chicken friend steak was perfectly battered and perfectly fried, very crispy. My only critique on the chicken fried steak is that I believe the batter could of has a bit more seasoned as it was a little bland and didnt add much flavoring to the streak, though, I understand the caution on that as they smothered it in white gravy for the flavor. Despite that little critique the steak was great. Ill be brief with the potatoes, not much to say other than they were delicious... cooked fully with great seasoning and matched wonderfully with sautéed bell peppers, very good! The biscuit and gravy, my only negative comment, I didnt like it very much, though, the biscuit alone seemed like it was perfectly homemade, beautifully crispy, and magnificently tasteful, I felt the gravy was very sweet ruining the combined flavor. Im a huge biscuit and gravy fanatic and am known to go around trying everyones, with that said, I would not put this one at the top of my list. The gravy being the problem was odd, Im curious if they make the gravy to order per dish as the same gravy on my chicken fried steak didnt taste so sweet, compared to on the biscuit it was. Nonetheless, it didnt ruin my meal. Overall, my first-time dining experience at Le Hey Rendez-Vous was amazing, from hospitality to food quality. At the end, the owner whom my guess is also lead chef stopped by my table to greet me and ask how my food was, a very nice guy. I am for sure interested in coming back at least two more times to get a taste of their lunch and dinner. So, my suggestion to you, if youre looking for a professionally crafted meal different then the normal restaurants around, this is your place.

First of all the food is outstanding I was not happy with my server and older gentleman seem to keep forgetting that we were even there we were there for the Valentines day dinner tonight. I kept having to beg for water from this young kid who keeps passing by our table and not fill with my glass its just the little things. We have to watch while all the tables around us were being served in fast pace manner , then we sat and waited and waited for our salad took forever and then finally our entrees arrived and mine was cold. We then had to wait forever for a check, again the food was outstanding except for the coldplate we had a good time me and my date but it was interrupted by the bad service. Upon leaving there was a young man at the register at the front desk who greeted everyone we passed him and said thank you and he looked at at us and then put his head back down did not say anything back to us didnt acknowledge our thank you a Buser a girl yelled across the room thank you guys for coming I hope you had a good time thank God for her. It may be a while before we try and go again. It was our first date place and we hoped that the traditional would continue but were not sure now.

I reviewed the old restaurant in San Bernardino some years back. They are still family owned, on a Sunday it just might be the owner waiting your table! Thats how serious they are about quality. Professional foodies eat here frequently. Pay attention to the specials as they may have something you havent tried yet. If you ask they will always tell you the very best dish they have (instead of trying to push something else). Make reservation s around holidays. As it gets really busy.

Came here for the first time on a Sunday at 930 am and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. The amount of food and the verity was excellent. The service was great too Russell was our waiter and he has on the ball. He was very attentive and even took time to pay attention to our kids. All in all the food was amazing and it was at a very reasonable price. We will be back!

Super Essen, hat Geschmack und sieht lecker aus! Super Personal! Jederzeit wieder, kann man nur Jedem empfehlen, hat nichts mit dem "normalen" amerikanischen 0815 Essen gemeinsam.

When i called i ask if they had bottom less champagne or mimosas they said yes so when my friend and i get there they said they only have it on sundays, they should change that,if i was in palm springs i would be able to get bottomless any day of the week, and they stop breakfast at noon and that is what we wanted so it was a disappointment, the waiter was nice though

I am very hesitant about trying new places... that said we went inside ordered the waiter was very nice and took our order promptly. He let us know the food was made when you order and customized our orders as needed. We waited about 30 minutes for our food but oh my it was worth the wait! The food was absolutely delicious! We will be going back for sure.

This place is a bit fancier than most cafes. They have good food, a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Expect to pay a little more here than other cafes (I had half of a turkey sandwich and a cup of delicious clam chowder for $12), but youll get a tasty and filling meal. They have beer, wine and spirits and patio seating if desired.

Definitely one of my top favorite places for breakfast. The staff is always friendly and chatty. The stuffed French toast is to die for and their omelettes are good, sometimes they just put a bit too much cheese for my taste. All in all a lovely place. We need to come for dinner sometime, it looks delicious!

The ambiance was terrible, half of the lights were not working. We went for dinner. The decor was not that great. Food was good. I wont say great because it was a little too greasy for my taste. The waitress was nice. The best part was the escargot.
