Ive been coming to Red Dirt Coffee House for a few years but havent thought to leave a review until now. I really cant say enough nice things about this coffee shop... they are amazing! First off, everything on the menu is delicious. Ive had drip coffee, iced coffee (their $1 special is awesome), lattes, different types of mochas, blended drinks, you name it. Its all delicious. They have hands down the best blended mocha around. It makes Starbucks frappuccinos taste sugary and syrupy by comparison. Im pregnant and have been ordering everything decaf lately, and its still delicious. Ive tried their breakfast burrito and bagels and those were tasty as well. The decor inside is Hawaiian themed and very fun, and I love the tables outside. And lets not forget the staff! The owner is wonderful. I felt treated as a regular right from the beginning, and I couldnt believe how quickly she began to recognize me, considering I was only going there 2-3 times a month. She treats her employees well and I appreciate that she closes for most holidays in order to give everyone time off with family/friends. I came once around 3:20pm... the door was wide open but the lights were off and the closed sign was out. I peeked my head in to see what was going on. The owner told me they had closed at 3:00 that day (it was Valentines Day), and it was apparent they were about to leave. However, she asked if Id just come for a cup of coffee? I told her I was wanting a blended mocha and please dont bother getting all of those dishes dirty on my account; Id go somewhere else. However, of course she ushered me inside and they made me one right there in the dark! Hows that for customer service? Well enough of my ramblings, go check it out yourself!

Red Dirt is like going to a beach in Hawaii but the sand is rough, you cant swim, and basically leave a few minutes after driving there. The coffee and food I tried here was not good and it overall had a weird environment. There is no real door here, I walked under a net and shouldve taken that as a sign of what I was walking into. I ordered a coconut latte and a spam musubi. The latte itself was mostly sugar, but I could hardly detect any hint of coconut. The spam musubi was messily assembled so it was difficult to eat, and the spam and rice were overly dry. I honestly dont see why people come here if the environment is weird and the food and coffee is subpar.

Awesome coffee and espresso. Beans from SB Roasting Co. Super dark and rich and they have a mellow roast too + they have Organic 100% Kona Coffee for under $4.00 for a large French Press - - unheard of anywhere. Same French Press at Longhis in Lahina, HI goes for $15 a pot. Red Dirt is Open early and Closes at 11pm serving "Ono Grinds" - - Great Food in a town that goes to sleep at 8:30pm. I consider the owners as my Coffee Family...I highly recommend RED DIRT

The go to spot for our local coffee shop. The owners are amazing as is the staff. They have a Hawaiian themed spot with great fresh coffee, delicious home made food, and a great variety of furniture from standard tables to couches. They have a little room off to the side with a door where you can meet up with some friends or maybe a client and patio seating as well. Free WiFi!

This is the best coffee in Grover Beach. Starbucks does not even compare. It could be cleaner though. Ive been sitting in there and felt very neglected to sit at a dirty table after spending $5 for a cookie and a coffee and the whole place was dirty with three people behind the counter. Huh? I hope that the owner sees this because they need the truth. Great coffee though.

Very nice not as good as it used to be. First, the coffee took too long and there werent too many people there. Also, people who show up after us were taken care of really fast, but they were buddies with the person at the counter. Also, the homeless guy sleeping on the couch, didnt care for that.

Ive ben going here for over a year and it is by far the best coffe place in California. No other coffe place on the coast can compare with them. And during the holidays they have this pumpkin chi latte with real pumpkin get it blended and you will never get one from Starbucks again

The decor is tacky, it has an OK vibe when its not busy, the drinks that arent coffee are bad and the food that isnt the burritos are sub-par. The green tea laté had chunks of the green tea mix powder in the bottom and the mini cinnamon roll tasted like soft cardboard.

After 2 days of locking down to rest, Marissa & I am off to visit Dad. We stopped in to this random cafe and are super impressed ast these local/owners. Very nice people. It has a Californian-Hawaiian fusion. And, best of all, the drink-making skills are killer.

Very unique coffee shop. Loved the couches and decor. The coffee was delicious and the food was homemade, fresh, and different. This is all complimented by friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. I wish there was a place just like this back home.

Goodbye corporate sameness hello uniqueness. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon and mango salsa. A mocha lolo (chocolate/macadamia syrup). Both excellent.

It is a very nice little coffee house. It has a very nice decor and fair prices for the food/drinks. The drinks tend to be better quality than Starbucks.

Try the black sand mocha and the Lolo melt for breakfast. Seriously, try it. If you are disappointed, have someone check your pulse.
