If I could leave negative stars, I would. Today, a few friends and I decided to give Cove Bar a try. We have heard positive reviews and have been told by many friends to try the famous “Lobster Nachos.” We had a good time and once we received our check, we proceeded with the usual routine. We always split the check. We gave $60 cash and the rest to be charged on the card. Keep in mind, our total was roughly around $72. That means the card should’ve only been charged $12 plus the tip we left behind. I come home and check my bank account and they charged the full $72 to my card. That means they took the $60 (don’t know where that amount went to) and then still charged the full $72 onto my card. Our waiter Josh (from Hemet) even confirmed with us that the cash would be put in and the rest would be charged on the card. It does not make sense to leave a tip so close to the amount spent. For this, I am leaving a bad review because they robbed us an extra $60 that should’ve been used towards our tab. And what makes it worse is they gave me a receipt that I signed supposedly saying they only charged me the “$12” that should’ve been charged to this card. And they even got extra because of the tip I added! For this, I refuse to go back to this place and will let everyone else know. If you decide to go, beware of a possible scam they may try on you. I couldn’t be more disappointed and upset.

This place is a must visit for me every time I go to Disneyland. They have a large selection of alcoholic beverages since they have a full bar with many different cocktails, wines and beers. My fave is the Mai Tai, which is both delicious and strong. The drink prices are also reasonable considering youre in the middle of California Adventure with a nice view of the roller coaster. The food is just OK with the exception of the Lobster nachos, which is a must get here. California Adventures can be HECTIC.. To be honest... Running around Disney California Adventures with thousands of little mis-behaving children, crazy parents, and long waits in line for the rides can drive a 25 year old like me insane. I like to hit the cove bar to get a few (beautiful but surprisingly extremely strong cocktails) to make my day at Disney a lot easier to handle. There is usually already a line just to eat/drink at the Cove Bar itself. But its so worth it! Dont let the pretty cute looking drinks fool you. They will do its job better than you think. (laughs then cringes) They are definitely on the stronger side, but with all the money you are going to have to spend the rest of the day at Disney, I think its a great thing that the drinks are so strong. If you love nachos, these lobster nachos are going to BLOW YOUR WORLD. Tender lobster pieces atop fresh house-made corn tortilla chips with black beans, pico de gallo, chipotle creme, and signature aged cheddar and Oaxaca cheese sauce for just $14.99. BOOM. I hope you took my advice and are pretty buzzed and full off the best thing you can get at Disney California Adventures.

We waited for a table for 5 adults in the shade. They told us it would take them 20min. 40mim later after numerous excuses about tables not being able to put together because it would combine servers we were finally sat at a table in the sun(that was our choice, we finally didnt care). 5min and still no waiter. I had to make eye contact with a hostess who informed us that our server had gone on break and that she would be serving us. Our order finally came 15mij later as we watched her spend 5min and asking for help plugging it in. Even then they were missing a drink: a simple bud light. No effort to attempt to speed up the seating process or to simply inform us at the beginning that in the shade would be difficult, no service because the server had gone on break(why would you assign a breaking waiter to a table?! On top of that to a table that had been sitting and waiting obviously angrily), and forgetful service at that. Will not return. If it was an issue of shift change managers need to take care of that.

Cove Bar is the "cool" place to grab lunch at Disney California Adventure...Not crowded, mostly 20-30 something friends and couples, a serene outdoor setting, and a great waterfront view of Paradise Pier and its surrounding rides. Think about it: You could hit the generic snack bar, wait on line for 20 minutes and spend $12 on chicken fingers, $4 on popcorn, and another $6 for two sodas. For a few bucks more each, my friend and I sat right down and split a set of hearty fish tacos (2 for $10), loaded lobster nachos ($13), and a round of specialty margaritas. The food was FANTASTIC, and service was fast and friendly, although there was a bit of a lag for the check to come out at the end due to shift change. Even if youre trying to cram in as many rides/attractions as possible (Im definitely part of that group too!), we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. If youre at DCA sans-children and looking for a good lunch, Cove Bar is worth a visit!

First time we have been here since it got super popular. It opened up at 11am. Get there as early as possible because it gets really busy. We got there 15 minutes early and still managed to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. You get to pick from high top bar seating or table and if you want to sit in a shaded area. The sooner you get there the more options you get of course. They have some awesome bar food. We got the pizza, the quesadilla, lobster nachos, the cotton candy lemonade. All of it was really good. I was impressed with the quality of food. We spent about $65 for all of that. The Atmosphere was very casual but it was busy. The service was also great. Recommend to stop by and try something new while at the parks.

Cove Bar is definitely a must while in Disneyland California Adventure. The wait can be a little wait if you dont get there right when they open at 11.. but if you want that adult cocktail and lobster nachos, its worth the wait? Or send the kids off to Toy Story Mania and stand in your own line at the Cove Bar! Lobster Nachos is off the hook. Its definitely pricy for what you get, but my god, what isnt an arm and a leg in Disneyland?! Weve gotten some of the other bar food here, but nothing quite stands out like the lobster nachos. You get oven baked cheese on top of crispy chips, and loads of sour cream, beans, salsa, jalapenos and lobster. I wish theyd do to go, I could definitely chow down on this walking around the park.
