I really believe that Seasons 52 is one of the best new restaurants in town. Why? Because their menu changes with every season and they have a weekly menu that changes every week of the year so as to use the freshest ingredients available. Plus, I love that everything on their menu is 475 calories or less. Knowing that small fact helps me indulge a tiny bit when I come here. The place is dimly lit with luscious wooden booths and tables. It would be a great place to have a celebratory dinner or a business dinner with folks from out of town. Granted, being a part of South Coast Plaza, it does have a fair amount of foot traffic. Last night I met some friends for an early dinner and we ordered up a small feast. Despite having a full bar, they do not carry Land shark lager. This didnt deter me from trying out their chocolate & espresso martini and sangiovese wine. The martini was delightful and the wine went well with my dinner. We tried the shrimp & crab stuffed mushrooms, steak & cremini mushroom flatbread, Maui tuna crunch salad, green salad, BBQ chicken salad, yellowtail tuna rolls, cedar plank salmon, filet mignon, rainbow trout, & chicken. Wow that was a lot of food. I split the tuna salad and tuna rolls with my friend. We thought it was really delicious and the serving was quite generous. I tried a bite of the salmon which was perfectly cooked and moist, yet flavorful. The filet mignon was also perfectly cooked as well. The carrots it came with were a little too crunchy for my taste, but the asparagus and potatoes were perfect. We even tried the mini indulgence desserts that come in shot glasses. There were quite a few to choose from. I tried a little bite of the peanut butter chocolate swirl and it was delightful. I chose the pumpkin pie since it was in season and it was so delicious. I hear that the key lime pie & meyer lemon poundcake were just the right touch of sugar and spice. They have something for everyone and if someone took a flavor you wanted, they have extras to bring out. Just the right size to have after an amazing dinner. The service was superb. Our server, Andrew B., even handed us a business card, so that we could request to be seated in his area during our next visit. As we exited the restaurant, I noticed that the restaurant was bustling and most of the tables were full. I would suggest making a reservation during the busy hours or you can stop in while on your next shopping trip at SCP.

4.5 if I could. The Food: With their promise of a 475 calorie max per dish, I was a little skeptical about both flavor and portions, but they deliver with great quality ingredients, skillful execution, satisfying quantities and great flavors. Like really good spa food, but better. The Ambience: Its a big place, but between the decor and the ubiquitously visible and extensive wine collection, it has a warm and inviting upscale steakhouse vibe. I think the richness of the decor adds a good kind of heft to the enjoyment of the health-consciously prepared dishes. The Service: Friendly, professional and accommodating from the first point of contact to the last. Our server, a blond fellow named Joe, just seemed like a genuinely warm and nice human being, and that adds so much to the enjoyment of the dining experience. We had three different kinds of flatbreads, the filet mignon, the salmon salad, and several of the desserts, and all were delicious. The 3-wine flight + flatbread (you get 3 house-selected tasting pours plus a full pour of your choice of one of them) plus your choice of flatbread *before 6 pm* for $15 is an exceptional value. Id happily go back. :)

Seasons 52 is beautiful restaurant located at South Coast Plaza right next to Capital Grille. Its an American (New) and a wine bar, well in my opinion. Due to my previous experiences here, I have recommended this restaurant to my close friends for their anniversaries or just for an evening out. Luckily, they have said the same things Ive said, beautiful decor, delightful healthy menu, attentive service, and awesome experience. My most recent visit here was with a friend during our lunch hour. I enjoy how the menu changes with the seasons, giving a new taste to the customers. Seasons 52 has an extensive selection of fine wines, good for anyones palate. My friend and I shared the following dishes sea scallops, chicken garlic flatbread, lump crab stuffed mushroom and Belgian chocolate rocky road. The presentation of the dishes were beautifully done and was packed with tremendous flavor. I have to recommend their flatbreads because they are the best! Seasons 52 is a great selection for entertaining business, family, friends or for romantic date with that special someone. Remember all entrees are 475 calories or less, so you dont feel guilty after your meal.

This is a good example of a business model gone lazy. The concept of a higher quality dining experience with meals that are 475 calories or less coupled with a great wine selection is a good one. For a long time, @Seasons52 lived up to this and it was a great place to go. Then something happened....not sure what but my experience at at least two locations in the US and now including this one at South Coast Plaza proved the old adage; once forgiven, twice a fool. Theyve lost that enthusiasm and attention to detail. The food has become sub par at best. Here is the real disappointment - youre in CA where you expect attention to healthy living - their Gluten Free menu is this laminated one pager with the same items from the regular menu with one major difference - instead of having a dish tailored for GF, they have inserted a sentence telling you to order "without" the bun, crouton, bread, etc....

There are lots of cool about Seasons 52. My wife and I liked the one in King of Prussia, PA. We gave this one a try for a sizable business group. The menu always changes, so what we had may be different for you. The seafood paella was the best ever anywhere, with lots of great seafood and minimal rice. The duck wings were okay. Rhe meatball app wasnt worth it, and it got cold as our large group passed it up. The combo of the wine flight with a flatbread pizza was a hit. However, the flatbreads were really begging for more than a few shards of cheese. We found, if you are lucky, you can score the table by the kitchen in the bar area, which is open seating. This is fun, if you like shows like Hells Kitchen, but without the cursing. The wait staff is super. Make reservations if you want a table. Take your chances, if you want a seat in the bar area, especially during happy hour.

My spouse and I went to the Costa Mesa location for a celebration dinner. We were in town from Portland, Oregon to go to Disneyland. We encountered a server by the name of Susan. She was incredibly attentive, professional, knowledgable about the menu items, courteous and amazingly fun. Server Jon was engaging, equally attentive and the best example I have seen in a long, long, long tome of teamwork. The food was fresh, fantastic and very satisfying. The food added to the memorable experience. I cant say enough about the amazing dining experience we were fortunate to experience. Thank you Susan and Jon. We really appreciated how you added to out 1 year wedding Anniversary. We will be back for sure when we are in the area again. AND we want everyone to know how incredible you are!. Joe & Lonnie
