I dont eat sushi (I know, Im weird)... but I LOVE hibachi. My husband and I have tried almost every Japanese steakhouse in the central Arkansas area and I have to say that Sakura has some of the best hibachi in the area. They dont have the tables where the cooks cook the food in front of you, but the food cant be beat for the price. We usually get the chicken and shrimp to go. We call in the order and its ready in 10 or 20 minutes. It seems like when you call it in to go, they give you MORE food. The entire little styrofoam container is packed with food. And theyre great about giving you extra sauce if you request it. (I am a huge fan of the ginger sauce). Great little place...and Ive heard the sushi is wonderful. LOVE it!

Mixed review. Their food is great, their service and atmosphere leaves much to be desired! Even though they close at 3 and re-open for dinner, as many restaurants do, closing at 3 doesnt mean they close at 3, they actually stop taking orders at 2:30. In my opinion if a business closes at 3 then you clsoe at 3, or if you are going to stop taking orders at a certain time... POST IT! Their wait staff always look like someone just ran over their cat. They have no excitement, or enthusiasm for their job. The food on the other hand is actually rather good! If it werent for their food being as good as it is, their service would be a deal breaker for me! Straighten up their attitudes and the visit would be a great experience!

My husband and I ordered the hibachi chicken with fried rice, his sesame and mine teriyaki. We first got our salad in which you could tell had been premade. The plate was ice cold from sitting in a fridge and the dressing was soupy on the bottom of the bowl. Then came the soup which was the true definition of "dish water" soup. Our meals came only to find cold premade rubbery chicken and rice that was not fried but steamed. My "teriyaki" chicken was just chicken with a criss cross of sauce over it, and my husbands "sesame" chicken had not one sesame seed. On top of everything get ready to spend an arm and a leg. So many other negatives as well, we will never be back.

Have been going to this returaunt for over 2 years because my girlfriend absolutely loves its sushi. Over the last 2 years I have rarely been impressed. The sushi is good but meals from the grill are horrible. The chicken is rubbery and often the sauce is barely on the chicken. Also for every entree rice is extra... It doesnt come with the meal. This is extremely stupid and the idea probably came from my half minded waitress a couple nights ago. So if you plan to get a meal from sakura, bring enough money for 2 meals because the waiters are horrible and will screw you on every turn. Gladly ending a 2 year run. Never going back again.

I may have been in on an off night, however I decided that once was enough for that place. The good: The server was very friendly and my tea glass stayed full. The not so good: The food looked old and it tasted worse. My wife had the tamale and it crumbled apart. The rice was dry; not like under cooked, but more like it was cooked two days before and reheated in the microwave for 30 minutes. I had the special plate with a chili releno and the cheese was solid in it. The chili was the best item on my plate.

The food is great. However, they usually say "20 minutes" for to-go, and it ends up being 45-1 hour. The prices are too high for the same meal for dinner, vs lunch. Its actually one of my favorite places to eat. However, i would rather eat somewhere else where you get your moneys worth, and the service is quick. Used to eat here once a week. Once i started experiencing longer wait times, i now only eat here once every 3-4 months, if that.

Bad business practice, I was there with a friend who wrote a review on the all you can eat. I can add to this...the all you can eat sushi is terrible. They will purposely downgrade the quality of their sushi and add a crap ton of rice and very little fish. I dont think I would do business with this place again. Their sushi isnt that great to begin with and to do this is just plain insulting to your customers.

After reading the good reviews on Google my wife and I decided to give Sakura a try. Upon entering the restaurant we were rather curtly told to sit wherever we wanted. The hostess brought the menus and the first thing I noticed was that everything seemed a little overpriced. After sitting for 10 minutes waiting for a server to come to our table we decided that they really didnt want our business and left.

In the 2 years that Ive been here theyve raised the price on all menu items by $2-$5 without any increase in quality or quantity. They no longer offer military discount and their staff has become increasingly careless about customer service. Im guessing their hurting for money and business but raising prices and getting rid of specials lowers your customer base i.e. income so theyll fail soon Im sure.

This place isnt worth the price. The sushi is fine but fried rice isnt great. The sushi is only 6 pieces per roll rather then the standard 8. When I called I asked for sauce, over the phone they said they didnt have it... I got there and they charge for it, everywhere else includes it. For $30 my mom and I could have gone to Sky in LR and got better and more food.

The worse, customer service is good atmosphere is great, I always order the Hibachi steak for my LO. Stop going there because we found a hair from one of their cooks and the waitress at the time stated that it was my hair neither my daughter or I have short straight hair. The meat was never fully cooked after requesting it.

The lunch and dinner sushi specials are a really good deal, and are not just the beginner sushi like California Roll. They include a lot more choices than similar combos Ive seen (youve got 24 rolls instead of just the usual 6). The mochi ice cream is also great. Nice atmosphere and friendpy, attentive staff. ^_^

Wishing I could give it 6 stars instead of only 5! Delicious! Supremely friendly! Reasonably priced! Found us a new gem. Probably the freshest tasting sushi Ive ever had. Atmosphere was clean and quiet. Waitress was most attentive. Best restaurant Ive been to in a long time.

creative rolls and horrible grill plates/soups. mixed bag, slightly overpriced. If you like salmon get the salmon don, a good sized bowl of rice with large slices of raw salmon placed on top. If you NEED sushi ASAP this place will get the job done, but thats about it.

Food is not cooked at your table. This is a hibachi "style" restaurant, not traditional hibachi. Food was just ok, not very flavorfull, just bland. Expensive for a hibachi meal cooked without the theatrics. Will go back if forced, not bad, but not good either.
