El Paisita opened in April 2015 in the building that previously housed Lil Gs Cajun Market. Its just south of Burris Market and on the right side of the street as you head south on Highway 59. I stopped in to sample their food but didnt want a whole dinner plate. From the a la carte menu, I ordered the Shredded Beef Chimichanga with a side of Guacamole and Nopales Fritos. The shredded beef was very flavorful in the light crispy fried tortilla. The nopales were cooked with cayenne peppers which added just the right amount of heat to the sour cactus. Their guacamole and salsa were a little weak for my taste but their homemade tortilla chips were great! Javier, my waiter, suggested Churros for dessert since I was avoiding dairy products today. The cinnamon churros drizzled with chocolate were delicious!! I took them with me to munch on the drive down to the beach. Reasonable prices - my whole meal was only $9 before tip.

Very bad experience. Food was disgusting not seasoned waitress was rude. We show up at 8:20 ask if it was too late for a party of 8 the lady said no. Our food was half prepared. She should have said it was too late for a party of 8. Our food was prepared so fast we were out the door at 9:00. If you put close at 9:00pm then you should serve good food till then if not then you should close earlier .Giving a 1 star is over rated will not let you post without clicking 1

We are so glad that El Paisita came to town. We love everyone there and the place is always spotless and the food is always on point. You know how some restaurantsort have days where the food is great and says where its not so great? NOT HERE...the food is always consistent no matter who is cooking thst day. Prices are cheaper than I have experienced in my travels around the country.

Good service (mostly) good food. Their rice is really weird. Rice is usually my favorite part of a meal at a mexican restaurant, but there is bland with no seasoning. Their beans could use some extra seasoning too. Over all, their entrees are pretty decent though. Usually pretty packed when we go and we still get great service.

Order the Authentic Tacos, trust me! 5 stars for the food. This place is the best Mexican food this side of California! They do a great job with to-go orders, which I would recommend because the food servers are clueless. They need to hire someone to train the wait staff and then this place would be golden!

Food is so very delicious. Most restaurants State they are authentic and you get the same old stuff at every one. This place has many more options than anywhere I have been in the region, and is home made. Try the gordita and a tamal. Im salivating thinking about it.

Mostly "standard fare" food, with a few pleasant surprises. The Chile Colorado is good! I heartily recommend the mole poblano. Its deeply complex and the chicken melts in your mouth. Can be very noisy when its busy. Good selection of tacos and sandwiches, too.

Very friendly staff, good prices, and the food has been great. They have the best chips and chicken is perfect. My impression is that every other Mexican place in the county has fatty chicken and I feel like I can order chicken dishes with confidence here.

Compared to other Mexican food we found this to be fairly average overall. The salsa was very mild, the chips crispy but not homemade. The fajitas seemed to have a tomato base or something like it. It wasnt bad, just different. The service was timely.
