Ready for some good chinese food? In the Pacific Northwest Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen, but this evening with my Mom and Sister after a fun but appetite enducing hike through the Skookum Flats we went to Lucky Chopsticks. I had never been, and my mom and sister Hadnt been in for a couple months just because, life. Both were excited for it though, and told me it was one of their favorites! But after this initial experience I can see why! WE walked through the door and were shortly greeted by Judy, who sat is near the window at the front of our restaurant. Plenty of room, nice relaxing music appropriate to the establishment. Judy started us off with cold refreshing water and complementary hot tea. Gave us menus, which were extensive with many options to choose from. My sister and mom went with their favorites and I went with mine. I noticed they have a full bar with numerous mixed drinks which is always good to know. We got a large bowl of wonton soup and an order of steamed dumplings for appetizer, I chose a longtime favorite dish that I had not had here... but always want to try how different chefs prepare it. Orange Beef. We also got an order of vegetable fried rice and chicken & snow pea, my moms favorite. Within 10 minutes we got our appetizers, and right after, our main course! Delicious won ton soup full of veggies and full bodied broth and flavorful meaty wontons. The steamed dumplings were large pockets, the meat rich and addicting... and the dipping sauce-so full of balanced flavor too! The main course dishes of rice and snowpea were largw portions cooked to order and tasty from start to finish with the snow pea and veggies cooked to bite, crunchy as we like. I was exceedingly happy with my dish, my two go to dishes are usually chicken chop suey or orange beef... one chinese restaurant in Columbus Texas made it for me for my first try and ledt me holding every restaurant to the same standard since... you might know what Im taking about... so Im happy to say Lucky Chopsticks won me over! The crispy orange beef was meaty mixed in with some veggies for a little healthy touch, and covered in a rich orange sauce that sings and the dried peels that have a good tangy bite! As a nice touch real orange slices adorn the outer edges of the plate If anything could have been improved... maybe a few more dumplings.. two for each person goes way too quick, ha! Truthfully though, our waitress, also Judy, was attentive, and detail oriented making sure my sisters water full without ice, and mind filled with. She knew my sister and Moms order before they ordered. And if that doesnt warrant high marks for service, Judy was warm and sincere friendly person who spoke with each of us as longtime friends. Overall a great experience had by all. I can tell you we will all be back again. And until that time I humbly remain Daniel Jeffrey Blake your favorite friend and food critic!

Dont go here looking for REAL Chinese food. I asked the guy in the front if its Mandarin or Cantonese, he didnt know what I was talking about. I then proceeded to say "What kind of Chinese food is this.. in a irritated manner", and he replied "Oh oh Its Amuerican Chinese Hahah!". Hungry and really craving Chinese food I made a huge mistake ordering food from here. Did I mention I had to wait at least 3 minutes before the guy served me? The fried rice was over cooked, dont know if it was brown or white rice due to how much soy sauce was used. The almond chicken tasted like factory farm chicken. Other then that if you want real Chinese food go to downtown Seattle, places like Mike Noodles house, The Jade Garden, or even Mai Place in the Renton Highlands.. For now Ill stick to pizza, people out this way dont know what authentic food is.

We have fallen in love this Lucky Chopsticks! The food is the best!! It has become our favorite place to order from, our food is usually ready to go when I arrive. If not its ready within minutes of arrival. They allow us to customize our food however we want, which we really appreciate because we have 3 kids. They also allow us to trade the egg rolls in the meals for more chicken fingers, that too is great because we all love those! And the price is very reasonable, all 5 of us eat there for under $60!! Oh & the staff is super friendly!!

They USED to be really good... but my family went in and waited at the front for 15 minutes and no one came to seat us... thought it was pretty rude. Then the lady came by, answered the phone and walked away, and we were standing there like, "what?" Ha. Well, we left and went to Teri Fresh, across the street. Great food and the owner is so so welcoming and sweet. :)

The outside sign says Golden Chopsticks, the menu says Lucky Chopsticks, and the receipt states Golden Phoenix, apparently the official name is Lucky Chopsticks. The fried rice had a burnt flavor, the chicken was good, but the sweet and sour sauce was lackluster. However the tea and the speedy service kind of made up for it.

I always do take out, but food is surprisingly good & prices okay, especially for this corner of the county. Its definitely american-style chinese. Consistently better than Covington branch of (same?) restaurant. I rarely give 5 stars. Only negative is how often theyre out of eggplant - its my favorite dish!

My wife and I joined my parents here the other night and absolutely enjoyed it. I like it when places like this have the Chinese calendar placemats. Makes for fun conversation as you enjoy all the courses. The food was so much better than the place we have been going to in Issaquah.

The restaurant name has actually changed to Golden Chopstix. Great food, friendly service. Go a couple times and you will get to know the waiters. A couple of tables large enough for groups of 8-10. Otherwise perfect for lunch and dinner.
