This review is based on their lunch buffet. Which Ive enjoyed for close to ten years. I will say its gone downhill a bit over the years. The food is blander it seems. They also have a trick. Everything is loaded with fat. Butter, cream and otherwise. Thats good and bad. Tastes good in the beginning but you feel it after a while. Very heavy. Their chai is made with half and half for example. Its tasty but its like drinking a couple breves. The saag glistens with butter and cream as does the butter chicken of course. In the past I would give them 4 or even 5 stars but Im either used to them, getting older or their quality is suffering a bit. Its a bit of all. Will say the lamb meatballs continue to rock as does the rice and naan. Otherwise they balance a lack of flavor with extra butter and cream. And maybe lard, who knows. I must give them credit for being in business for a long time. That says something about a restaurant.

Its not my favorite Indian restaurant in Greater Seattle, but its coming quite close! As this is the only place where I have never been unsatisfied or complained about anything and that includes service, prices, taste, stale food etc. The best part is their buffet, which is very reasonable. I am a vegetarian and still I get a lot of veggie options - more than I can eat! Food itself is pretty much North Indian and medium spicy be default unless you want it to be! This is especially a good place for dinners for bigger groups. You should be able to negotiate discounted prices for great family style dinner.

This is a great Indian restaurant for cheap but excellent buffet for lunch! The selection is pretty large as well, with options for vegetarians and meat lovers. The side dining room has some interestingly painted walls showing scenes as if you are looking out windows onto the jungle, and they play Indian movies/musicals occasionally on several overhead TVs which is also kind of fun. My only complaint is the tandoori chicken is getting smaller as time goes on, but it is a buffet and you can get as many pieces as youd like.

Best Indian food in the state!! Best Buffett in the state!! Always fresh and flavorful. The owner and staff greet us by our first names and we feel the friendliness of the owner. We travel from West Seattle at least every 2 weeks just to enjoy the food and the people who work there. Well worth the trip. Make sure you try the mango pudding. Hurry, it goes fast!

Had buffet lunch here. Food is ok and I found it to be quite spicy. The buffet has nice spread in vegetarian option. However, in breads you only have naan and no tandoori roti - thats charged separately. Though the waiters take care of your needs, you may be left waiting for more breads. Might visit again but would love to explore more options in the surrounding.

Going there since last two years and did catering from them for couple of parties. Every time food was excellent. Not even a single complaint with food. Dinner is over priced though but food quality is good. I always prefer to go for lunch buffet. Choices are less but what ever in the buffet tests awesome. I will surely suggest everyone to try buffet here.

The lunch buffet was delicious. I dont eat meat so there were many items I didnt try, but what I did was excellent. It was a little spendy as far as Indian buffets go at $8.95 and extremely packed at lunch time. At one point there were over 20 people in line. I guess at least that means the food is fresh. I would go back there.

This is my favorite Indian restaurant. I like the lunch buffet and especially the "vegetable saag". I ate at several different Indian places in king county, and this is by far my favorite place. Everything is very tasty, and always very consistent. I must have been here at least 25 times, and never disappointed.

The food and people who work here will nourish and warm your heart and soul. I feel honored to know Netu, Robin, and the wonderful woman whose name I have not gotten yet who works Thursday evenings. I believe the cook and these three people are what make Taj Palaces essence come to life. आप ताज महल धन्यवाद.

We ate food wed never tried before. Uni. Wagyu beef. Nasturtium. Sesame butter on a fig. All excellent and all beautifully presented. The attentive and exceptionally intelligent service was just right. Very comfortable place without any stuffiness. Would go back, but will have to save up a little. Thank you!

Phenomenal food every time Ive been here and great service. Id definitely recommend visiting during a lunch buffet on the weekend to try many of their tasty dishes. Having that knowledge you can either repeat something you enjoyed at the buffet or give you the idea to try the many other foods they serve.

The food was fresh, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even the manager came over to make sure everything was okay. The professionalism was wonderful and they made it so I didnt want to leave because it wasnt too expensive so I could have kept eating. I will definitely be going back!

Was here for work training and wanted a delicious restaurant for my last night in town. I was NOT disappointed! There are many Indian restaurants in town, but go with this one! Customer service was phenomenal, food was outstanding, and portions were very generous! Highly recommended!

Delicious and colorful, the food is a delight to the senses. Vegetarian dishes that will make your mouth water, flavorful chicken and goat, and spices that will melt your taste buds and leave you wanting more. The staff is quick with the Naan, and refills your drinks often.
