They didnt have a large selection of desserts, that and, the ice cream melted into a translucent water. lol, HEY IM JACK SPRAT AND I KNOW MY FAT I agree with one review, ALL the foods that are supposed to be kept at 165 deg. to prevent food poisoning they were not hot. warm yes because of a heat lamp, but not hot by no means. but, the place was packed so at least the kill is fresh. I disliked it because the food was not hot. The COLLARDS HAD SUGAR IN THEM this was a travesty. Also, like any fast food place, foods tend to be over seasoned, so bring an extra high blood pressure pills. Other buffets Ive been to the food is smoking hot, so I know it can be done. Price? I am not sure, but we paid $28, plus $3 tip. Thats $30.00, for food that was not hot. but, we said grace before we ate, and we stick to it, Thank the Lord for good food. The workers seem content enough, I never saw any manager. Theres a childrens game in the main dining room. a big glass cube with toys inside, BRING A ROLL OF QUARTERS.

For a family, the best thing about this place is how kid friendly it is. My two kids love this place. They love the flowing chocolate fountain, all you can eat dessert, and mac and cheese. They even love the soups. My wife appreciates the soups as well, as there are no Souplantation near here. We went here for breakfast just before 11 oclock. At 11 they switch to the lunch menu, and we got to enjoy both breakfast and lunch on a Sunday. I really like the all you can eat steak. I dont know what cut of beef they use, but it was very tender and tasty. Just be mindful a lot of the pieces come high on the fat, and you might want to cut some of that off depending on your diet. Adult prices were $8.50 for each adult, and kids 4 to 8 years old cost $4.99 for breakfast on a Sunday. Keep in mind this is an all you can eat buffet / cafeteria, so dont expect romantic ambience or modern decor. Also be prepared for some line cutters to jump in front of you.

The manager, Chris Preston, is phenomenal. He runs this restaurant like youre a guest in his home, and he treats you like family. The bottom line: this is the best "GC" Ive been to from Va Beach to Washington DC., period! We eat at GCs all the time up and down the 64 and 95 corridor, and we are so spoiled on the quality of food and service at the Gaskins Road location, that we cant go anywhere else without feeling like weve downgraded. The food is fresh, the servers are friendly and attentive, and Chris has trained his staff extremely well and we wont think of going anywhere else for a family dinner. Golden Corral should make this store a blueprint/standard for all the others across the county - and put Chris Preston in charge of corporate restaurant operations!

Well when you have eaten at the best a buffet is good only for overeating. I do find items I like, especially hot rolls but the butter is never by them. Its in a tub at the salad bar. Understand that??? I have not eaten their soups because I am always trying other things. Also enjoy fried onion rings. Are these favorites worth the price? But I do fill my plate. Never been to breakfast buffet. Do they have things other than regular home foods? Sr going late afternoon so I get better value. Chocolate fountain and marshmallows good but can drip on u. Soft serve enjoyable with syrup and sprinkles. Cookies particularly good when warm. To me cakes/pie like generic intuit on all foods. I go 1 time a month I guess. Open for all 3 meals of the day.

The restaurant had exceptional food, steaks were juicy and well seasoned, my waiter was outstanding. The problem I had was the gentlemen who was cooking the steaks had an attitude problem. He did not respond when I asked for a steak, and I was left standing there waiting not knowing if he heard me or if he was ignoring me. I saw he did this to two other people as well, one being the friend I came with, so I am not exaggerating the fact that he was stand offish and rude. He also told a woman that there was no sauce for her steak, and when she asked if he had even looked he left and came back stating there was. So basically he just did not feel like dealing with it. Other than this issue, I enjoyed it.

There is a wide variety of items to choose from on the buffet. There are soups, salads, fried chicken, fried fish, Mexican dishes, chicken prepared multiple ways and of course the chocolate fountain! The staff is friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend! The only reason I gave Golden Corral four stars is because when it is busy it tends to be a madhouse. The other client clientele in the building tend to be on the pushy and rude side. But thats only when its really busy. Just dont go if you see line out in front if you would like to avoid this.

Took my brother there for his birthday. The waitress was rude and inattentive. Dishes and silverware were dirty. We asked for refills on our drinks and as we were ready to leave is when she showed up with them. I also noticed she was on her cell phone showing pictures or something to another employee and got upset when another customer had asked her a question. Food was dried out and wasnt fresh. Over all I would give it a negative 10 if it was possible. Nothing about our visit was pleasurable. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The establishment was fithy. Trash all over the floor. Went to the mens room. Mens room smelled like a port-o-potty sitting in the sun for a week. Wife was getting food and noticed the kitchen staff skating across the kitchen floor like they were on ice skates. Waitress was never near table to keep drinks filled. Steak sauce, salt, hot sauce bottles were empty on table we were at and table behind us. We had family in from out of town, paid $100 to eat and had to leave to go get another meal somewhere else.

I had to put my own tray back to get out off my table. Majority of the tables in my servers section were un bused because she was ALONE while the two at the hostess station did NOTHING. Coming in the door, couldnt hardly get our drinks cz the two hostess were more interested in their own conversation. Dining experience was awful cz some family let their kids run up and down the main walk way the entire time they were here. Good was mediocre at best. Worst experience at GC Ever

Today, July 7 my party of 3 arrived at 3:45pm in time for early bird special pricing. Check in cashier process was speedy. At 4:00 pm they started serving the dinner menu. At 4 :15 they ran out of ribs.20 to 30 minutes to prepare. The rib eye steak was so loaded with pepper I could not eat it. I asked for a steak without pepper and was told that is how they came prepared. Rib eye were approximately 1/2" thick, but well done. Service was excellent,as usual.
