METAL SCREW IN THE FOOD- MANAGERS NOT SORRY AND RESPONDS WITH: DO YOU WANT A MARGHERITA WITH THAT? Me and my family members had an incident at the Park City restaurant where the Manager deserves to be FIRED- My family and I were mid-way into the lunch- when my Uncle bit into his Chicken Burrito. As he was chewing his food, he hurt his teeth and out revealed a METAL SCREW. The metal screw was about 1 inch long. My Uncle politely asked to talk to the Restaurant Manager. My Uncle then said to the Manager he found a Metal Screw in his food. The first response out of the Restaurant Manager was on quote "DO YOU WANT A MARGARITA WITH THAT?" and did nothing to apologize to my Uncle. My Uncle came back to the table furious and told us what the restaurant manager said. Thats when I immediately stopped what I was doing at the table and confronted the manager myself to figure out why he just disrespected my Uncle. After talking to him for about 3 minutes, thats when he FINALLY apologized about the incident. I specifically told the Restaurant Manager that my family owns a successful restaurant and WE WOULD NEVER RESPOND THE WAY HE DID AND MAKE LIGHT INTO A SITUATION WHERE THERES A METAL SCREW IN SOMEONES MOUTH- "Do you want a Margarita with that (metal screw)?". Its not about getting free food for us as we can pay this meal 20 times over, its about knowing to be respectful and express concern on the situation. Ive been a regular customer to this restaurant every 3-4 weeks but I will NEVER GO TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE OF SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL THIS ESTABLISHMENT HAS FROM THE MANAGERS. Terrible and the Manager deserves to be fired.

We have been here a few times, and we have always liked the food. The service has been good a few times and a bit slow a few. Today, we went here for Valentines Day. So much for a nice lunch. We were seated and given water and chips by a boy after about 10 minutes. There were only about 4 tables of other people. Then, we waited another 20 minutes, before we finally asked someone if we could place an order. The waiter came over, and didnt apologize. He didnt even ask if we wanted drinks. He was very abrupt, and they were out of what I wanted. We watched him bring food and drinks to 3 tables that arrived after us. When our food came out, it had been an hour!!! My husband told him how long it had been, and he told us he had those other tables. I told him we watched them all come in and we were first. He didnt even feel bad about it. I have never left a zero tip before, but this was ridiculous. Our kids were so hungry, and they had balloons all over that they said the kids could not have. They even came up and posted signs while we ate that said "the balloons are for decoration, please do not give them to your children" Wow!!! RUDE. They didnt ask about dessert or even reduce the check for our huge wait time. Some Valentines day. Thanks Blue Iguana, we will not be back. No wonder every other place had a waiting line but you. Sounds like you dont hire people who will provide a quality experience for the expensive prices you charge. Its a resort town, and you wont last much longer with service like this.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I never write restaurant reviews, but I feel like I need to warn people. I visited this place in a group of 14 women. Since it was such a large group, we made a reservation a few hours in advance to give them time to accommodate. When we arrived, they seemed annoyed with us as they scrambled to put tables together. When we were seated, the waiter told us that since there were so many of us, we couldnt order any drinks other than water. Um... okay... Then he told us we couldnt do separate checks, either. We told him there was no way we were combining, it would be too ridiculous to figure out what each of us owed with tax and all, and who wants to pay for 14 meals?! He told us it was because they were "too busy," but as this visit wasnt during tourist season, there were maybe 3-5 other tables, so that argument was bogus. After some arguing, he reluctantly agreed to ring us up separately. AN HOUR AFTER WE ORDERED, our food showed up. Most of it was cold, and it just had NO flavor. One of the ladies asked for a manager, and after she explained what had happened our automatic gratuity was waived, and we were given free desserts, but it was too little, too late. AWFUL!

We came for dinner here on Saturday night. There was a wait time at first (20 min) but we understood that it was busy because it was the weekend. The family that was there before us was seated and then we were seated. We placed our order and waited. After 30 minutes the waiter came out and apologized because we hadnt received our food yet. At this point, the restaurant had greatly slowed down, so it wasnt like they were slammed. Another 30 minutes went by and still no food, although the people who had came in after us were already almost finished eating. The family that came in before us had waited for their food too long too, and had simply left. It seemed that after so long, the staff just felt it was better to ignore our table than uncomfortably explain to us why our food still wasnt given to us. The waiter finally brought out the familys food (the ones who had left) and when he realized that they were gone, he took the food back by the bar area and started eating it! SO unprofessional. After that point we realized it just wasnt worth it. So we left and found a delicious pizza place down the road called Red Banjo to eat instead. MUCH better service there!

We went to the Blue Iguana 9/4/16 The food was fantastic, we had a wonderful waitress but the management was horrible. We had a gift certificate given to us for a bday just a regular gift certificate not a Groupon or anything like that and he was hesitant to let us use that. We also had a BOGO from our Entertainment book we were told we were not allowed to use because they had a sign on the door for labor day. There was no sign on the door it was on a mirror sort of BY the door but we were enjoying the day and really didnt feel like arguing. The guy was very pompous and rude and not like any manager we have dealt with. He treated us like we were somehow trying to rip him off by using a coupon or a gift card. We also frequent the downtown Salt Lake City location very often and have always had the best experience (which is why we got a gift cert for bday). All in all the food was good and our server Katelyn was great. We wont ever be going back to the Park City location but we still love Blue Iguana and will just stick with the Salt Lake location from now on :)

Last Day in Park City, my family and I decided to go Mexican on the 4 th of July. Took 15 minutes for a table (not bad); ordered at 1:15 never got our lukewarm food till 2:30 ridiculous! My grandson was already out of control; his parents couldnt even eat their food. The excuse the waitress gave was they were backed up because of the holiday. There was hardly anyone left in the place by then. My son paid 86$ for crap. Then she offered a to go box after all that. Worst service I have experienced in the State and I have lived here for 40 years. It was an embarrassment to my new daughter in law from San Francisco. Did I forget to mention I was late for work in the Salt Lake Valley by 3 PM. Waste of time! Park City you can do much better. We could have chosen The red Banjo; no name saloon; cisernos; Wasatch brewery..... never will I patronize again. Not even an offer to comp any of our food. I would give this a -2 if I could!
