I really like Panda Express, generally, and have eaten at many of them all over the metroplex for many years. However, the new The Colony location was far and away, without a doubt, the absolute worst one I have ever been to. I arrived with my daughter at about 6:10 pm on a Sunday night. Despite what you would imagine would be a busy time (dinner time), probably 1/3 of the entrees were either empty, or very close to empty. A few of the others that were not empty, looked as if they hadnt been stirred in a long time and had just been sitting there. Both entrees I wanted were empty, Orange Chicken, and Kung Pow Chicken. We waited at least 15 minutes for both dishes to be cooked. The portions were a healthy size. Once we got our food, we went to get our drinks. The area was dirty and there were no napkins anywhere. I went back to the line and waited another 5 minutes to ask for napkins and another 5 minutes while a person checked out front in the cabinets, under the drink machine and discovered there were no more napkins there, while she asked another person to go look for some in the back. When she returned she had enough for maybe 3 customers. She gave us 3 or 4 and put the rest of the small handful in the dispenser. No fortune cookies were offered. Two of the three trash cans were literally overflowing. The mens room had urine on the toilet and floor, and there were paper towels on the floor as well. Surprisingly, the very young staff was very friendly... just terribly inefficient. There were probably 8 people working there that night. I dont think there was a manager on duty. The average age of the people working there seemed to be about 18 years old. I hope they can get their act together, because I like the food, but they dont seem to have any guidance at this particular location. They also forgot to give my daughter a cookie, which was supposed to come with her kids meal.

Kiana W. had some of the worst customer service that Ive experienced. She was rude, trying to rush the order. I ordered it slow enough for her to make sure it was right. She gave an attitude and still didnt get the order placed in correctly. I wanted the honey walnut shrimp. She said that is wasnt ready and would take about 5 mins. That I should order something else instead. I said no, Ill wait for the honey walnut shrimp as it is what I want. She said ok with a lot of sarcasm. I pull up to the window and 15+ minutes later my order arrives. It must have been a shift change because the guy opened the window and asked what I was waiting for. He said oh, let me go ask about it. It finally came out and then he asked if Kiana ever gave me my drinks. I said no, he asked what they were and got them for me. Youre Health Inspection B rating in the window, must have been very considerate of the inspection. Her attitude there, must be a reflection of the company as she is representing it with each customer that she is greeting. I dont think Ill ever visit this location again.

The food is on level with the Panda Express quality you would get anywhere else, but thats about all that is on par. Ive been there 5 or 6 times since it opened because of the close proximity to my home but theyve yet to manage to get either my order right or without a 15-30 minute wait (on drive through no less) on each of these occasions. Tonight the guy in front of me got so fed up that he drove off. I stayed and placed my order and when it was handed to me there were items missing but the cashier had walked away as soon as the window closed and didnt come back for several minutes and never gave me a chance to even ask for soy sauce, chopsticks, or my missing food! I finally gave up and drove off. Terrible service is the one thing you can count on here and I dont generally bother to write reviews but I felt the need to warn off anyone who expects even average service from this place. The positive reviews on here seem to be written by staff or paid reviewers by how generic and poorly written they are, by the way!

UPDATE! 3rd visit, I get asked if I want something else like 5000 times (drive thru), both the food and drink order for 1 person were incorrectly repeated. I GOT NO RECEIPT! they showed me where their printer wasnt working and a blank strip of paper. this is comical at this point. drive thru guy at window doesnt repeat my order at all! I dont know if hes ESL (if so the MIC may not be the best position for him) or enhancing the Engrish accent for atmosphere. 2 star, demoted to 1 lonely star! Also by judging the skew of 1 and 5 star ratings shows that customers are being told to give 5 star ratings for a promotion of some sort. If they were really good the majority of reviews would be mid 3 and 4 stars or hover in the 3s. Fake reviews cant make up for bad management. Theres nowhere to go but up panda! Second visit, waited more than 10 minutes in the drive thru, both times.

Service was pathetic. Portions were small. Food was cold. I should have went to a sit down restaurant instead of their assembly line fiasco. They tried to up charge me for a three entrée plate instead of two which I got, because I asked that the rice be put on a separate plate for my kids. While they spent literally 10 minutes arguing with me in an attempt to overcharge me, my food got cold. The one trying to up charge me was the manager, who was definitely a very angry woman. They were mis-managed disorganized and incapable of taking care of the five customers they had in line behind me, who were all mad, because of the managers pettiness. If you want fast food in the colony go to Chick-fil-A where their attitude is good and avoid Panda Express.

Absolutely no customer service. Ordered 3 item plate with chow mein and rice. They were out of firecracker chicken and told it would be 5 mins. 15 mins later I get my food. All the while my other 2 entrees with rice and chow me in are sitting on the counter getting cold. Why you wouldnt give me the other 2 items while I waited is beyond me but it gets even better. Come to find out, the firecracker chicken was cleared out by the employees who decided they would take there lunch during lunch hour! So Im sitting there watching my order get cold that I could be eating and then watch all of the item I was waiting for, be eaten only by staff for free, and then be told they are making more cause it was already spoken for. NEVER EATING HERE AGAIN!

I cant agree with Charles p on his response, had to catch her on a bad day! Seriously shes so funny and keeps me coming I visit panda very occasionally on work breaks and shes always considerate she always come up with a great solution when the customers upset give her a break! Its a few other workers that could work on the attitudes and smile a little more some seem not to want to be at panda. Mya should smile more and interact with the customers were on our work breaks we need to see smiles lol I just want to say that I love this Panda Express its gets very busy sometime but thats because of the great food so I dont mind the wait! This is my favorite location
