If you live around Columbus and havent found a good Indian restaurant around your area, this is definitely a place I encouarage you to swing by. From personal experiences, the owner is always there, always ready to talk to you, and always makes you feel as if you are his friend. The food is great, they let you sample food before you put it in your mix, and everything is fresh! If you arent going anywhere in a rush or if you arent taking your food home, the establishment is really well designed, and good for just sitting down and eating there. If youre a spice lover, I encourage you to go. If youre an Indian food person, I extremely encourage you to go! Ive been to the establishment twice and have always had a conversation with the owner every time I have gone, and I promise you I will be going back more and more in the future :) -D. Jacko

I cannot say much more than what other reviews have already said. I can, however, say that I have never had something from Curry Up that I didnt like! I make a point to always try something new whenever I go out, and I find that it isnt always rewarding. But at Curry Up, it always is rewarding. It is totally worth it to splurge on lamb in your wrap or bowl. And, I had never had lassi before, but it is certainly something I would recommend to everyone and anyone (try the rose lassi). I have met the owner on several occasions and he is a charming, wonderful, relatable, and hardworking gentleman. If you are looking for a place that not only serves wonderful, true-to-origins food, but supports a local business and a wonderful group of people, I definitely recommend Curry Up!

Well.. we went there to see what this new indian restaurant had to offer which make them a stand out.. Well, being an indian, I know what indian food tastes like and what they serve is not at all Indian food. It can be termed as American Food with indian flavors. Plus as everyone is saying, they give a small bowl for the charge of $10 .. and you will remain hungry after that, FYI you can get as much as you want in a lunch buffet in any indian restaurant for as low as 7.99.. so what good are they? First when I entered I liked the new approach but you have to have quality food to maintain your customer service.. their food completely suckes... the rogan josh curry I had, had no salt in it... DEFINITELY NOT GOING THERE AGAIN TO WASTE MY MONEY... ONE VISIT WAS ENOUGH..

I give 5 stars mostly for the service and overall experience. As a newbie to Indian cuisine, I definitely dont know how authentic dishes are supposed to taste, but the guy that helped me (maybe an owner?) was really patient in explaining traditional Indian ingredients and tastes, blended with the concept of healthy eating there at Curry Up. He also gave suggestions without being pushy. Even on a Sunday evening, the vegetables still looked fresh and I was able to sample each sauce. You can taste that theyre freshly prepared, and you actually get a variety to choose from, unlike the casual Indian dining option we have here in Cleveland. Id say give it a try, especially for a healthier spin on a bowl.

Chipotle/Piada/Bibibop style Indian food.to go or eat in - either is a win. Great ambiance - nice, modern decor, not kitschy. It looks like they havent been open long yet, as there was nothing on the shelves. If they keep it simple and modern, I think its going to be really nice. Food was fantastic. I had a chicken bowl with spicy rice, saag sauce, spicy cauliflower, and carrots. I think the chicken might have been a touch salty, but it was overall really delicious. It wasnt wimpy spicy, but it wasnt burning my mouth out either. My partner had a lamb wrap and he really loved it. Price point - just what you would expect, good portion for the price. We will definitely be back!

Just as advertised this place is Indian food given the Chipotle treatment. You pick which meat, vegetables, and sauces you want. But because the average American isnt as familiar with Indian as, say, "beef burrito", the staff was very helpful in explaining whats what, and the spice has been toned down. I appreciate this because I struggle with the heat of most usual Indian food. I had a rice bowl with chicken and Korma, which was kind of a creamy almond sauce, and it was delicious. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try something new, but without being TOO adventurous right off the bat.

Our church staff decided to try Curry Up today for lunch...I personally had never had ANY Indian food of any kind. I was pleasantly surprised with all the foods we tried...and I felt the portions were rather large. It was a very good first experience. But more than the food, the gentleman that helped us (the owner perhaps) was incredibly personable...was patient with our questions and genuinely cared that we had an enjoyable experience. He also took the time to talk to us and ask for feedback on what was good and what could be done better. He made a great first impression...Ill definitely be back.

This was my first experience at Curry Up. I felt its Indian style Chipotle which is a new concept (happy to see an easy grab Indian option). Food was very well balanced. I am giving 5 star not just for the food but also the customer service(very rare to see at Indian restaurants). When my fiance and i went in, we met a guy (we believe he is the owner) who was happy and proud to explain all ingredients (organic and is healthy diet). Also i want to point out the restaurant was very clean and neat. I will recommend to all my friends and definitely will go again.

Finally a fast-casual Indian restaurant in Columbus! Ive been in mourning ever since the Currito on campus closed along with their tikka masala burrito... Tonight I tried a spicy rice bowl with the chickpea-cauliflower-spinach on rotation/special as my protein. The sample they gave was very tasty and had nice medium spice. I added some Korma sauce over the remaining rice. Also good, but the rice needed more sauce; the final bowl tasted very dry for a place with curry in the name. Ill be back to try more flavors. This place has potential. The bowl cost $8.50.

Its a new concept and a very welcome one. Id love to go back. Some improvements are needed, though: the flavors need to be a little more balanced, less on the famous Indian spices and a tiny bit more on the salt. The sauces could be less watery. The staff needs to focus more on being friendly and smiling than being nervous (you guys have taken a great step, feel happy and take the negative feedback in stride). A side self-serve bar with lemon, spicy sauce, etc., would also help. Organic ingredients would help justify the higher prices.

Recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Style is fusion and contemporary Indian. Focus is on healthy fresh food. Curry up is different to traditional Indian restaurants like Aab and Amul. Do not visit if you are looking to dip your hands into buttery naans and oily curries. Staff were friendly and open to taking feedback. Relatively new concept and will eventually pick up. Need to advertise more aggressively as it took me 3 months to hear or see the place and I live half a mile away. keep up the good work. Thanks
