I have been to The Unofficial 6 times now, which I feel is enough to give a comprehensive review. The food has consistently been really good. Ive had a variety of sandwiches and burgers and have enjoyed all of them. The Red-Eye was my favorite, the Cuban, while not a true Cuban per se, was nevertheless delicious. The cheesy tots are good as are the fries - add on some garlic mayo and it makes them fantastic. According to a friend, the cheese curds are just amazing. The cocktails that I have tried have left a little to be desired, but they have some good beers on tap and have had different ones each time I have gone. While the prices are a bit on the high side, the quality of the food mostly justifies it. While I have not had the Face-Melter burger, the people that I have been with that have say that it was extremely weak and didnt even come close to melting their faces. If you are going to advertise something like this, it should deliver. While the $5 burger basket for lunch is a nice offering, the bun is way too big for the small patty and makes it really bread-heavy. Also, the $3 up-charge for the small cup of beer cheese sauce is not worth it. Maybe for $1, but not for $3. My biggest issue, and the reason behind the 3 stars, is the service. Every time I have been there, it has taken an incredibly long time from sitting down to getting food and then there is an extra wait before someone brings the check. Refilling water or getting more drinks? Hit or miss. The times I have been there for lunch, it has been close to 80 minutes from sitting down to leaving, and that is with having to ask for the check when the food comes. This has made it impossible to go over lunch as my break is one hour, and I have been late to meetings as a result. In the evenings, it is no better, sometimes worse. It seems like they are understaffed and that servers just float all over the place. Twice, our server took our order and then disappeared behind the bar. We had to flag down another server to refill waters, get more drinks, and finish up with us. If they could get the service under control, it would be a much better place.

Walked into a unbusy restaurant at 12. Was promptly greeted and said to sit anywhere friendly smile. After that everything went downhill. It took awhile to get our drinks. Buy Mimosa had an almost nothing natural in it. Worst one Ive ever had. Staff spent plenty of time talking. Cheese curds were the best part of the entire experience. Hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict was delicious as well. Had to return it though because my eggs were hard-boiled by the time they came out received the new plates one egg had no yolk in it the other one was already broken. Although the waitress apologized for the problem I still paid full price for two mistakes. Coffee was never refilled either. I will not be coming back to this establishment.

Every time Ive eaten here, its been terrific. The food is great. The prices are decent also. A lunch special, every day from 11-2, of a cheeseburger, homemade fries, and a soda for $5??? Not possible. Its less expensive than any fast food and its great! Thursdays after 5PM they have tater tot hot dish as a special. Best Ive ever had, including my moms. The tater tots, which you can also order as a side, are not your ordinary, Ore-Ida tots. These are breaded balls of buttery goodness. They are not like any tot Ive ever had. Looking around, every single meal I see others having, Id like to try. They are open during the construction on the street, so definitely make the effort to get there.

First time here and I already love it. After explaining that were new in town, we were given a tour of the menu and customized suggestions of what to order. The beer selection is awesome, the food is bomb, they have veggie burgers! and the staff is super chill and friendly. Our server "Crabby" Abby (who is much more Abby, much less crabby) is sassy and sweet and knows her stuff. Ask about her hobbies - itll warm your heart. Big shout out to the koozie program they have going on - super smart way to market their restaurant while promoting fun and support of small business. We will definitely become regulars here !

"Ill be back." That was my initial review of this place on Google many months ago. Since then I have spent many an evening here. I view it as my Cheers bar. Today was a really warm April day, so I sat in the sun on their patio. I wasnt planning to eat, but their brunch menu looked too good to skip. I had the brisket and egg sandwich. So good! That and the uniquely smooth hash browns, washed down with a beer-mosa, made the afternoon very satisfying. I dont normally do brunch, but now my, "Ill be back", includes weekends before 2pm.

Last several times my colleagues and I have been in for lunch it has taken upwards of 40-45 minutes from sitting down to getting food. By the time the check comes were talking 75 minutes which is just too much time to spend on lunch. Food has been good (not great) but given the prices (on anything but the lunch special) and the slow service were going to have to start lunching elsewhere. Seems like The Unofficial would benefit from an extra cook and a couple extra servers during busy periods.

Great bar food! Good selection of beer but make sure to check what beer is actually available. My first two choices were already tapped out. Update: In response to the owners comments. The way you can make me a 5 star would be to keep tabs on your beer list to make sure they are accurate. Ive been here once since my last post and ran into the same issue. Food was good as always. Update 3/25/17: Ski ball machine says "free pint for 400 pts"... Got 430pts and got $3 off a beer.

This place would be 5 stars, but its their atmosphere that Im not too terribly thrilled with. Its fine for a bar, but it doesnt seem to match with How Delicious their food is!! But definitely go for their food, its Seriously Good, and you tell the quality is too notch!! I got their sweet potatoe fries (they were extra) very crunchy and flavorful, but when I tried my moms Free regular Seasoned Fries, I was like ... "why did I pay extra when your fries taste better than mine?-?"

We stumbled upon this place because were members of Craftapped and they are a partner. We were there at about 4pm, not very busy that day, just what we wanted. They had a decent choice of local brews, I think they were changing over 2, which of course one that I wanted was one of them. I ended up getting Indeeds Daytripper, yum! Try their corn dogs! Delicious and I think made on site! I got a chicken tender basket, which I also believe are made on site!

Not only is this place 2 blocks from home, it has excellent food and great happy hour specials. Very good service from their staff as well, nothing bad to say!! It is always my suggestion of where to go. 5 visits in the last couple months, which says a lot because motherhood doesnt always allow for happy hour and such often but when I get loose, the Unofficial is my top choice. Any chance of adding a patio at some point?
