While the place itself is nice enough, it could be clearer. We were there on a Saturday evening and got a table right away. They were busy but not overly full. Most seats were taken but a few spots here and there opened up through out the evening. While our server was nice, friendly and attentive things could have been cleaner. Our table top was so sticky my napkin was stuck down. We were there several hours and I used the washroom a couple of times. Each time it was disgusting. Each time none of the toilets were NOT flushed, there was toilet paper all over the floor, in the stalls, and near the sinks. The rolls of paper were empty in many of the stalls. The counter top was covered in water. Remind you, we were there early evening, 7pm-ish until about midnight. As the evening went on, the wash room got progressively worse. I have been in cleaner womens wash rooms in fraternity houses. Our food was just ok too. I would give the nachos a C and the sushi a B. It was all a bit over priced for the quality and portions.

Westwood Tavern is great. The decor gives a great warm feel as soon as you walk in. The servers are incredibly friendly and their energy matches the decor. Alright, lets talk "Tap Tables." What an incredibly idea. Ive seen my fair share of bars and restaurants, and being from NYC, Ive seen it done many different ways. These Tap Tables (definition: raised booths with 2 beer taps built into the tables so you can pour your beer at your leisure; charged by the ounce) were a first time for me though. You never have to wait on your cold beer and you it adds just the right amount of interactivity to the dining experience. The food is well above average, especially for the type of place Westwood is. Their burgers are incredibly juicy and well seasoned. The salads, arent the most creative, but they are executed well. If youre in Schaumburg, the Westwood Tavern is a must.

We came before the tenth hour of the evening. The bar has two floors. We walked on the top of the stairs though came a waitress. He greeted us with just a smile. We sat down and after a few minutes when we were not being serviced, we approached the bar where the top floor is closed for the moment. Too bad none of the staff told us that. We had to go down to the lower floor, where I have to admit service was pretty average. It was that nice, if tables were a little cleaner. I ordered a drink Blue Island, unfortunately, did not have Blue Curacao So, she brought me a side of cherry juice. I did not know what it has in common with each other. Blue and red. And two different flavors. Place looks to quite serious but were a little disappoint.

Tried to go here on a Friday at 6:30 pm. We wanted to watch the Bulls game and celebrate our friends birthday. The parking lot was full. We all had to park at Costco and walk over. We were told it would be 45 minutes to an hour for our party of 8. There was no room at the bar and they only have two seats near the front door to wait. We still hadnt been seated by 8pm. We asked numerous times about our table and werent told much other than to keep waiting. When we got our text notifying us our table was ready (2 hours and 15 minutes after putting our name on the list) we were already seated at nearby Fox and Hound and had drinks and starters at the table. I wont be back.

Upon the first bite of my food, I instantly knew it contained an ingredient that I cant eat (I could see it and taste it). It wasnt mentioned in the description of the food, and when I politely asked our waitress about it, she told me the chef said that ingredient wasnt in the food. A complete lie. The waitress rudely asked me if I wanted something else, I politely declined, and then received a bill for the untouched food on the table. Id never been treated so horribly in a restaurant. I have never written a bad review for a restaurant. I sugggest others (especially those with food allergies who need to trust the chefs word) steer clear of this restaurant.

I would not have believed it was possible to improve on the BBQ Bacon Burger but Westwood has done it with their Baby Back Burger! A big beef patty topped with BBQ Baby Back Rib Meat, Chipotle Mayo, Cheddar Cheese & Onion Strings on a Pretzel Bun. Seriously one of the tastiest burgers Ive ever had. Comes with delicious fries and costs $11. The only downside to this amazing burger is that I will probably never order anything else from their menu to find out if there are other items just as worthy of praise. The other people I went with also ordered food, and seemed fine, but to be honest I was not paying attention. My burger was too good.

I had my wedding/reception here! I worked with Dena (Banquet Manager) & Ashley (Banquet Assistant Manager). They were both phenomenal and very accommodating. The groom and I had our first date at this location and it was very important to us that we were able to have our wedding and reception here too. The night of, the service staff was very accommodating. They were on their toes and quick to respond to any request. The team was also very attentive to my and my guests needs. It was the perfect venue and the perfect experience. I could not say a bad thing about my entire experience working with the Westwood Tavern team!

Visiting Westwood Tavern I had the most atrocious service a gentleman can ask for. The food was mediocre at best, however twice as great as our server. It was a very tall man by the name of Alex.. I can still hear his gum smacking. Unprofessionalism at its finest. He took 8 minutes to even introduce himself to my family and I. Later on, waiting for the arrival of our entrees, our server literally slammed my bowl of tomato bisque sending it splashing into my beard and shirt. And not to mention his attitude. I will never be back here again.

Much better than standard bar fare. Have gone out for drinks with friends and date nights with the wife. Very good beer and drink selection. Place is big with an upstairs lounge area and rooms for private parties. Food options are plentiful with some standard bar standbys, but also a large more upscale menu. Tons of tvs, so great for watching games. Have also gone with the family and good kids options. The outdoor patio area is great in the summer, but can get very crowded. Service is consistently good with friendly staff.

Westwood is all right! Not at all bad, but admittedly mediocre. It is a nice place to get food and drinks and also to hang out with a small group (i.e. no more than 6, unless you manage to rent a party room upstairs). While this place is not very fun and lively, nor is it romantic, it is good for what it is, a suburban neighborhood tavern. They have excellent wings and drinks are reasonably priced (then again, this is the suburbs), so I would say its a great place for locals.
