Ate at Stonewood tonight for my mothers birthday. The food was okay. My mother ordered the 8oz sirloin which was tough and full of gristle. I ordered the grilled salmon which was slightly under cooked. For the price of the salmon, was given a piece of fish slightly larger than my index and pointer fingers combined. The Chefs vegetables were very good though and the mashed potatoes were typical restaurant fare. My mother also ordered a baked potato which was under cooked. My father ordered the steak salad which he enjoyed. The decor was fairly unattractive. The seats reminded me more of what could be found in a McDonalds circa 1999. The wait and hostess staff seemed lost. The host seemed like he could not figure out where we were supposed to be sitting after given a table number. The waitress started out by placing a soiled napkin down for my drink without so much as noticing. She then proceeded to hand out drinks incorrectly. For the price, it was highly disappointing. I do come from several years of restaurant experience and would honestly have preferred a meal at Ruby Tuesdays. The only plus was that we were seated without having to wait in the lobby, however, when you look at the prices, you would expect a much better experience, which would justify some wait. Would not recommend.

First time there last night. Food and service were excellent. Top shelf all around. Price says three $$$ but might be closer to 4, as we spent as much as we would have at our favorite Brazillian Steakhouse last night. But, no complaints like I said, everything was on point. We had: Appetizer: Smoked Salmon Meals: 12 oz Prime Rib with Lobster Tail with asparagus and baked potato and mine was the 20-22 oz Bone in Ribeye with house salad and baked potato. Dessert Chocolate Bread Pudding with Jim Beam sauce and Vanilla Hagen Dazs icecream I would tell you how each one, individually were great, but seriously, they were all cooked perfectly, flavorful and outstanding. I will say this .. my fiances prime rib was slightly more flavorful than my Ribeye, so in the future - I would save $10 off my entree and get the 16 oz prime rib (no lobster) instead. Spent more than I planned to, but totally worth it. Cant wait to visit again when the occasion presents itself.

For the prices you pay here, its reasonable to expect the food is worth it. However, that was not the case for us. Good thing we had a gift card. Otherwise Id have asked for a refund. We made reservations on Opentable (which we didnt need), and were promptly seated. Our server was good and she took good care of us. I tried the Salmon with Asian Slaw, and my wife had the Herb-Encrusted Grouper. The first thing I noticed was the salmon was kind of cold. It sat on top of the Asian slaw which was kind of slimy and didnt have any flavor at all. The portion size was small as well. Since we had the gift card, we got the chocolate bread pudding, which came highly recommended. It was good, but not spectacular. I dont know if we caught it on an off night, or if this place just isnt good for seafood. Maybe the steaks are better, but if I had to choose whether or not to come back, Id probably decline.

Best Place in the area to get the best meal and service! The drinks are amazing and nothing on the menu has EVER disappointed! Possibly one of favorite places to dine since moving here from Ft. Lauderdale 4 years ago! If you live in Julington Creek Plantation area there really is nothing but Italian or Fish Camps with a few awful Mexican restaurants sprinkled about or Fast Food! Stonewood is superb and we drive out of our way to enjoy better food! The only negative if any is the location is in a parking lot by Walgreens close to River but no views. A place this great needs a beautiful view because the restaurant is lovely!

So, the service was fantastic and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. I ordered a Caesar salad, Sirloin with garlic mashed potatoes, and key lime pie for dessert. The salad was fairly average...didnt really stand out but wasnt bad by any means. The pie was too sweet by my standards, but still quite good. The real standout here is the steak. I have never seen a steak so thick and yet still perfectly medium-rare. And seasoned to perfection. The last steak I had at this quality cost me northwards of $40...this was about half of that. Good showing on the steak and great service from Rob this evening.

It was OK... Service average, had to rouse waiter from flirting with one of our female guests to take our order. Ordered three appetizers, all not bad, but nothing to write home about. Comp bread had WAY too much salt. Mistakenly paid $4.00 for small side salad which was worth about $1.50. Sirloin was OK, nothing more. Small and forgettable for the price. Much fat and gristle on bottom that you couldnt eat. For the same price, you could eat like a KING at Outback or Longhorn. Go only if someone else is paying.

Apparently you need a reservation, and had I known, I would have made one! My husband and I went out to eat for our anniversary and find this place. We didnt have a reservation, but because it was our anniversary, the manager, Mickey found usa table. He placed us in a booth with a waitress named Amber. She was wonderful! The food was exceptional, and hands down the best place Ive ever been to eat! I cant wait to plan my next vacation! We will be going back as often as possible!

Not as good as they used to be. Medium strip was chewy for the price. Charged $2.50 to convert a side to a salad without mentioning it for both our meals ($5 total - salads used to come with the meal). $8 drinks were weak. GFs filet was good though. Clam chowder was good. Prices went up and quality went down. Looks like the bean counters have ruined another great resturant. So sad, it was my go-to place for a fancy date night. Will have to do Mortons or Bonefish from now on.

Absolutely delicious from the first course to the last! Hostess was super friendly and accommodating and had a warm greeting for everyone who walked through the door. Server was very helpful and knowledgeable, and had no problem subbing the original sides with different ones. Appetizers took a bit to arrive, so they were kind enough to offer us a free dessert, which was amazing. The quality is right on par with the prices. We will definitely go again!

I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. This place is the only place I found in Mandarin that understands what a real reservation is. Our table was waiting with the special bouquet of flowers I had sent. They even fulfilled the special request I made for after the meal. All done online! The staff was friendly and attentive (not overly either) and the food was done to perfection. They made our special night perfect.

We loved this place. My family and I went here for an early Valentines dinner. The prices are very reasonable and its the best steak you can get that is not from Ruths Chris. Its also one of the only places in Jax we can get our favorite wine, Ramsey Cabernet. I could eat here ever week. The service is great and the food is better.
