The first time I visited, a few years ago, I was treated poorly and given the impression that it was because I was Black. However, I thought I could be wrong and decided to give it another chance as I was in the neighborhood with my then 4 year old grandson who was very hungry. We were seated quickly and watched 3 different waiters clean tables and check on other customers near us but never even greeted us. Approximately 7-8 minutes later I told my grandson that we had to leave because we were not being treated nicely. As we were walking out, my little guy yelled out "YOU GUYS ARE A BUNCH OF MEANIES!" I will never forget how you made my grandson and I feel and I am convinced, as no one even inquired as to why we were leaving, that you are indeed NOT "RACE FRIENDLY!" I hope you are replaced, soon, with a true American spirited, love for all, establishment... I only regret that I cant give you "0 stars!"

Well, today we decided to have a treat - a breakfast at the Village Inn. The restaurant, on parker Road, has a very relaxing atmosphere. We were welcomed and taken to our table. As we looked over the menu, a pot of coffee was brought by the very friendly waitress. We ordered our meals and, within a few minutes, were served with our breakfast plates. Both my wife and I enjoyed munching our way through eggs, bacon, French toast, hash browns, and fresh fruit. The tasting sensation was spoiled, though, by the tepid coffee - its temperature just above warm. And, as coffee is a key ingredient of a good breakfast, the overall impact was disappointing - and brought a WHAT? response when we saw the price. Nearly $5 for coffee? $5 - more than Starbucks charges for its HOT, energizing coffee? What a pity. So, Mr/Mrs/Ms Village Inn......please check your morning coffee temperatures.

Contrary to some review(s) on here, I enjoy this place! Theres no Dennys in Parker, so we tried VI and havent been disappointed. Service here always friendly..after reading one of the negative reviews regarding service and potential "preferential" treatment I paid close attention; while we were there, there was a very diverse group of customers (were people of color ourselves) present and other than the servers being a tad overwhelmed (it was busy) the service was as good as one could want. I did take a glance at the other reviewer(s) profile and TYPICAL; not 1 positive review. I ABSOLUTELY HATE people who never have anything positive to say. Anyhow, great little diner, reasonable pricing with a traditional american menu, great coffee and awesome pies! Cheers!

The Parker Village Inn has become a much cleaner and overall nicer place to eat since the brand overhaul a few years ago. They have the same robust menu that offers everything from Breakfast, Launch, and dinner items. Occasionally my family and I take advanced of their Pie Special on Tuesday where you can get a free slice of pie. They offer some nice selections for the freebie so its not like theyre just trying to give away the less popular pies that they have extra of. Which is nice. Otherwise its a Village Inn. Its a middle of the road one size fits all type of sit down restaurant. Though it can be trick to reach this particular location if youre coming from up north during thick traffic.

Kathy..the manager said we are about to clise. Our group came in at 11:20pm and then we . The place cloplace closes at 2:00am! Could it be that she just didnt want the business that comes from 24 people?! "You are gonna sit all together at these two tables....and not move until my one waitress gets your orders".This manager is the most rude person I have ever witnessed in a restaurant setting! Her name is Kathy. The manager greeted iur large group at the door...which their ad says they catet to...and said "this is how its gonna work " This is how you greet a group of good paying customers??!!??

We usually love village inn, tonight however the waitress was rude and inattentive. Never checked on is for refills , or boxes. We took the plate up to the host to pay our bill, were we asked the incompetent staff to split the bill 2 ways. Our $30.50 , which she replied with "I cant math right now.".....We informed her how to split it evenly and will never come back to this village inn ever again.

This a popular place for my wife and I, at least once a week we go here. The staff is generally attentive and polite. Love the food, we especially like having breakfast for supper, try a skillet they are delicious. They also make an excellent hamburger, plus other great food. Pie rush Wednesday, I would recommend, with your meal you can one of their delicious pies, for free.

Im sorry but the food was pretty good. But weve had the same waitress for the past few times and she is very rude. I dont think Ive ever seen her smile and she never cares to check up on us and just seems angry. She rolls her eyes every time we talk and it isnt a pleasant experience. Name is Lexus. BUT the dishwasher guy is really great and always makes our night when hes nice.

Seems to be under new management. Rest rooms are filthy with no paper goods available. Waited over 1/2 hour after ordering a soup and salad. Patrons who ordered full meals after us were served but we were not. The wait staff and manager ignored us when we tried to get their attention. We have been regulars there until now. Will not return.

Waited over 45 minutes for our salads with a party of five. Several tables came on after us and even finished before our food ever came. The manager was apologetic but received no reaction and little reaction from the server.

Its always give and take at the village idiot. Sometimes its great service and other its really bad. When one has to wait 10 minutes before you get waitress to ask what you would like to drink makes it not so fun to be here.

NO! The food is over priced, terrible, and I ran out drink with a waitress who abandoned my table for a half and hour or so. Sure, they have pie and cake and may be better during the day?....Go somewhere else.

Standard diner food. Good when you are in the mood for breakfast for dinner. Quality of pies are slipping though. Not sure what that gel looking stuff is thats in some of the pies but its not food.

The restaurant was busy with large parties. However they did a nice job taking care of our party of 11. The service was actually better than when there are only 2 or 4 of us.

The place has great late hours, everything on the menu is great, its also cozy, the waitress Lexi seemed like she hated her job & did the bare minimum.
