My experience was literally the worst I had sent back my appetizer due to the sauce sour and really vinegar taste then sushi just kept staring and making like really big sighs of frustration when I sent the appetizer back then I also ordered about sixty dollars in rolls which when I got my food the scallops for the one roll were some really and some very cold different temperatures and noticed my avocado was very black where that shows its not good or ripe to eat so spoiled and I mentioned that to the server she went over he started slamming his glass doors where th sushi is and made a big scene so I went up to the counter and he was like you complain but had eaten all the food well of course cause I was starving and I was telling him that there was room for improvement and he said I should never come back again and I will never come back again it was the rudest experience Ive ever had in a restaurant which I would not even call this a sushi place I also ended up throwing up that night not only they tried to call the cops cause I at one point in time I felt threatened he was going to assult me cause Im not gonna pay cause he stated flipping out over me pointing out and sending back food that just wasnt made properly with fresh ingredients I am still trying to get a refund just wanted leave a review of my experience I hope you never family or friends here for I was embarrassed just by the food let alone the bus timer service

While I am not a regular here, I do frequently visit this establishment. Zoo Sushi features some of the tastiest sushi Ive had, and the sushi chefs are pleasant and entertaining. The quality of the food remains consistently good. Very high marks in this regard. Unfortunately the exact opposite is true for the floor wait staff. On the vast majority of our visits, the wait staff seem to forget the patrons sitting at the sushi bar (and its not much better on the main floor). They seem to be much more interested in talking amongst themselves, visiting the kitchen, or hanging out at the drink fountain rather than doing their primary job - taking care of the customers. On virtually every visit while sitting at the bar, the staff has forgotten something for our meal - be it the miso soup (several times) the salad (several times), sushi plates (often), drink service (frequently) and theyve even forgotten to bring us a menu! While we will probably continue to visit - because the food really is good - I would be very surprised to see this restaurant survive if changes to staff attitude and service are not immediately made. Were service to improve, my star rating would be considerably higher. In the meantime, we will continue to show appropriate compensation in our tips for the service provided (or rather, the lack thereof).

Mt. Fuji and Zoo Sushi are really the only two places in Castle Rock for sushi, and after going to both, I would have to say Zoo Sushi is the best. The small amount of Nigiri I had was wonderful and their rolls are big! Mt. Fuji has a bit more variety and house specials, but their rolls are much skinnier and so you dont get as much food as you do at Zoo Sushi. Zoo Sushi is also a slight bit cheaper, but you get more food for what you pay for. They were not nearly as busy as Mt. Fuji, which was nice. I would definitely recommend this place!

Tonight was our first visit here. We will definitely be going back. We enjoyed California rolls, salmon rolls, octopus rolls, Hot & sour soup and lobster fried rice. It ALL was delicious! I personally ate the California rolls & soup. The California rolls were the best I have ever had!! The restaurant & restroom are very clean. We chose to sit at the sushi bar. I highly recommend this place!!!

Zoo Sushi is amazing. They have excellent quality sushi and my server was wonderfully sweet. The restaurant owners and managers are all native of Japan and have truly mastered the art of sushi. The sushi was flavorful, fresh, the rolls were quite large, and the prices were very affordable. I have eaten sushi all over the world and I can say this is definitely some of the best sushi you will find.

The combo menu that they offerring is not costumers choice its the chiefs choice so we eneded up choosing a sushi that we dont eat..they are also not telling us or bother to ask the costumer to tell us what will they going to serve..but we have different likes and taste the food is ok though...

Chef is very crabby. Says open till 2:30 but wont serve you if you walk in at 2:09. Bathrooms disgusting. Dirty walls, dirty tables. Made both my wife and I sick. I suggest you stay far away from this dirty hole. Cant believe we were hungry enough to stay. Bad mistake.

Really good nigiri and unique rolls. Sunset was my fav. Simple atmosphere. Service was hit and miss. I think one of the guys we had was a new server. Other guy was great. Will try the sashimi next time.
