We thought wed try something different, and Yak and Yeti always looked like an interesting place. Nice atmosphere, cool building with lots of history, and... beer! Our waiter stopped by the table, and said "you ready to order"? We told him no, because the menu was huge, but we asked to order beers. His tableside manner was like we were filthy, unwashed commoners. He brought our beers and some flatbread, then returned in a moment to say "ready?". We ordered without any help on the menu, even though we asked if he would recommend certain items. He sort of shrugged as an answer. When our food arrived, it was very tasty. We drained our beers and looked forward to another, but our waiter was nowhere to be found. We finished our meals and our waiter was nowhere to be found. We wanted to-go boxes, but our waiter was nowhere to be found. We flagged down another waiter (who was a very polite, cheerful guy) and got to-go boxes. Still, our waiter was nowhere to be found. Eventually, we flagged the same guy down and asked for our bill. I asked if our waiter went home, and the response was "I dunno". We tried to pay our bill, but the waiter was nowhere to be found. Eventually, we got up and headed for the door. On the way out, we encountered the cheerful guy and asked if he could take care of our bill for us. We said that our waiter treated us like he hated us, and he smiled and shrugged. I always treat waiters/waitresses with respect. My wife and I worked in the service industry for many years, and even owned a franchise restaurant. We understand how challenging dealing with the public can be, and treat people how we wish people would have treated us. We always tip between 20 and 50%. Because weve worked in service, we also believe there is never an excuse for such horrible service. When a waiter disappears after the food was served and never returns even to present the check, there is just no excuse. We tipped the cheerful guy with explicit instructions not to share that tip with our non-waiter. Oh, and wont be going back despite the fact that the food is good.

Bunch of liars!!!. My brother and I were visiting and wanted some good desi food. I called this place up and a lady answered. I asked her the timings and the price for the buffet. She said it was $10 up to 4 pm and then $15 afterwards (it was a Saturday). We got there and the food looked alright. There were 4 dried up tandoori chicken pieces in the tray. So my brother asked if we can get some freshly cooked chicken. The guy said the chicken in the tray is fresh, clearly it wasnt. From that point on the guy would pass by and keep staring at us. I asked him where I can get some naan, he said we bring it to your table and it will be fresh. Evidently he didnt like my brothers request. It was time to pay and I noticed that they had charged us $15. I told the guy that we came in before 4 and the lady on the phone said it was $10. He said no its $15. I asked for the manager. He came and said we do that only on the weekdays. I explained that I had called and a lady answered telling me the prices for today. He said there is no lady that works there and I might have called his other restaurant down the street. Unfortunately my phone was dead and I couldnt tell him what number I had called. We paid the $15 and when we were leaving I noticed a lady working at the bar. When I got to the car, I called the number that was listed on my phone and the manager had answered. I asked him to confirm his address. He knew it was me and gave me a phony address down the street. I verified the address and it didnt exist. Pretty pathetic for the manager to lie to my face over a $5 dollar difference!

Great food and excellent service (walk-in>ToGo). Customer Service: Walked in at 9:15pm, so they were about to close in 15 minutes. We were hoping to go inside and get an order to go, but was expected to be turned away and had contingent plans if need be. The bartender motioned us over and we asked if we could get an order to go. I slightly sunk down and cringed waiting for the typical response of "we are about to close." Instead, she was extremely nice and handed us some menus while she attended a few other customers. She even seated a couple a few seats down from the bar and I overheard they just wanted a quick drink. She came back over in a few minutes and I asked for suggestions which she promptly gave with enthusiasm. She also suggested a few brews while we were waiting on our food! Our order was ready in about 10 minutes. What a great experience and excellent customer service. I was impressed by the politeness and courtesy especially with it being so near to their closing time. Food: I ordered the eggplant vegetable curry (coconut milk), not spicy. It was a great dish and very filling. It was thicker than I thought it would be but meshed very well with the rice. The fun sauces they give you with the thin bread is great as well! A sweetie for a bartender and great food. We will definitely be back for some dining in. Hopefully well be there well before closing time!

The food is decent, but quality is going down, due to complete chaos. They are over-busy, so they skimp on the quality of the food, and, even though we spent $60, they forgot the Naan in our to-go order. Naan, one of the staples of Indian cuisine, and this was not the first time they have forgotten items we ordered. First they tried to say we didnt order it, then, they made excuses, like, "we are so busy, its a mistake". They wanted us to drive back for the Naan, which was unacceptable, since they made the mistake. When I asked for them to deliver it, they told me to call back in an hour, and they will, "get it to me". So, we did, and then he said he never meant he would deliver. So, why would we call back in an hour? Needless to say, this is the last time we will be ordering from them. Their Onion Bahji was soggy, and the Daal was too spicy for my daughter (this used to be her favorite dish). Another time, we had reservations, and had to wait 30 minutes for our table anyway, then wait another hour for our food. Then, one of the dishes was incorrect, another 45 minutes until ONE person got the right dish. Enough is enough, we will be going to Denver for our Indian food. Enjoy the $2.00 Naan you didnt not want to deliver Yak (Yakety-Yak, we wont come back).

The food was tasty and seemed very fresh. The prices are reasonable considering the portions (my order, appetizer included, couldve easily been shared.) The menu itself is extensive and describes the dishes perfectly. It includes a decent vegetarian selection which, while not a rigid observer myself, I can appreciate and may try an entree from at some point. I had the house pilsner which I wasnt particularly impressed with, but they have several others, including seasonals, which I would like to try. The service wasnt what I would have necessarily called "chipper", but was otherwise very good -- definitely attentive and efficient. The atmosphere was OK, but the seating I had/saw wasnt private. Great for a casual dinner with friends or family, but maybe not so much for a date. (Certainly correct me if Im wrong!) The furnishings and decor are warm and comfortable, if just becoming to feel a little tired. A freshening up would probably mean a bump in prices, undermining the value to be had here. After just one solo visit, I give this place a solid 4-star. Looking forward to future visits with my wife and out-of-town visitors!
