Im visiting from NYC and I saw the Stumpton Roasters sign in the window and had to go in. As soon as I walked in the smell of buttery baked goods greeted my nostrils. The pastries are so pretty and the coffee is awesome, of course. This is a great cafe for coffee and a croissant on the way to Willamette Valley for wine sampling.

If a bakery offers a croissant that is what I judge them on and the croissants at Carlton Bakery are exactly as they should be. Flaky, light, buttery and with a touch of crispness on the outside. Delicious.

Great sandwiches. Artisan bread. The croissants alone are worth the trip. If youre in wine country, take a break here or start the morning here and grab some sandwiches to go for later in the day.
