Hoops is down right fantastic - a world class dive bar! Ive sampled food from all the fine restaurants in the Simsbury/Avon area and honestly you cannot go wrong with this place. Plus they serve food until last call 1am during the week and 2am on the weekends - great for my silly afternoon work schedule from 2-10pm. Staff is friendly, the crowd can be a little shall I say unrefined but honestly who cares - Ive talked to a few of them and theyre some of the nicest down to earth people. Why spend 4x the money at some of the establishments in downtown Simsbury surrounded by the 1%. Boring. Lame. Nauseating.

Hoops & Hops is my favorite dive in the whole world. The crowd is diverse and always interesting, the staff are always hospitable and prepared. Management and ownership are one of kind.. Hoops is in a league of their own.
