i used to be a burrito drive regular, and live just down the street. it was great food for a late night and yummy burrito fix. im also a huge fan of traiditional queso fresco, and often took friends there when the however, 5 times [and yes, that is correct, 5 times - no exaggeration] in a row they screwed up my order. i was polite about it. called to let them know but ate the food anyways. one of the 5 times they even sent me a new burrito. however, the 5th of these times was the 5th and final time. when i ordered my burrito, i explained that id had an issue in the past, and was hoping i wouldnt this time. we ordered 2 burritos. one came exactly as ordered, and the other was missing and messed up yet again. so i called back. said, "im the customer who called earlier, and it seems the same mistake has been made a 5th time. im wondering if theres someone i can talk to." i didnt want the burrito to be remade, didnt need a free burrito, and once again was simply going to eat what was sent to me. i merely wanted someone to acknowledge the mistake, and take whatever steps necessary to insure that it would never happen again. after speaking to the extremely snipping and rude worker who answered the phone [and coincidentally first took my order], she INSISTED that i was wrong, and my burrito had been made correctly [even tho i was looking right at it, lying there open, missing several ingredients]. after dealing with her i gave up, and asked if there was anyone else to speak to, hoping i might get somewhere, so she eventually passed me on to the "owner." the owner was even worse. after arguing with me, yelling at me, and also telling me i was wrong, the owner informed me, verbatim, "if i had to give out free orders to every person whos burrito i made wrong, id go out of business. i dont know what you want me to do. i hope you order from us again, but to be honest, i dont really care." and hung up on me. horrible. no one would even acknowledge the mistake. a frequently made mistake. im sure im not the only person who received an ill-wrapped burrito, or incorrect order, and judging by his comments its quite a few in the same boat as i. but there was absolutely no acknowlegement of any wrong-doing on their end, and they instead chose to tell me i was crazy. and my friends looking at the very same burrito with me, were crazy too. anyways, point is, i dont care HOW good their food is, i will never EVER support a place that treats their customers like that. and you shouldnt either. :(

My wife and I went to eat at Burrito Drive on a Saturday night with 7 other friends. I was the first of our group to order (a breakfast burrito). All the other members of our group received their orders first, as well as several other patrons who ordered after us. After waiting a substantial amount of time, we asked the person at the counter about our order. Essentially, she told us to just keep waiting. About ten minutes later, we asked again, as a few more patrons (who again arrived after us) already got their food. This time the reponse was that it was coming soon. We inquired if we could get a discount or any coupon, and the person at the counter brushed off the question saying she didnt know. Finally, after 40 minutes waiting for the breakfast burrito (and everyone else in our party finished eating), we asked if we could just get our money back. The person at the counter said they arent allowed to give refunds anymore. When I asked if we could get a coupon or anything like that (twice) to make up for the wait, again she said that no, they arent allowed to do that, and let us know we just need to wait. My wife said that this wasnt very good customer service. The staff members rude response to my wife was "well, maybe you just arent a very good customer." We sat with our group for another few minutes before a staff member finally came out with our burrito, but actually asked "do you still want it." Given that we had already paid for the meal and couldnt get a refund, of course we took the burrito, even though by that point after the long wait and rude service we would have preferred to just get our money back and leave. It sounds like our experience isnt uncommon from reading other reviews, and the staffs comment that they arent allowed to give refunds or any other sort of coupons anymore certainly suggests that theyve had a whole lot of unhappy customers. We definitely will not be going here again. There is way better food elsewhere, and plenty of other establishments that value our business more than Burrito Drive.

This place made me nostalgic for my suburban Chicago hometown, which is resplendent with hole-in-the-wall, delicious Mexican joints. I was seeking some decent Mexican(esque) food in the Chipotle/Qdoba ocean that is Madison and figured this place had good reviews so Id give it a try. My warning should have been the fact that all the reviews mentioned this being good "drunk food." I ordered the classic tacos with a side of chips and guacamole. I had asked for cilantro on the tacos and received about 3 leaflets on each. And the pico de gallo that normally comes with the order was essentially missing (there may have been a couple of tiny diced tomatoes), essentially leaving me with steak and a smattering of cheese on a tortilla. Thank goodness I had splurged for the chips and guac - did I mention three tacos, chips, and guacamole came to $17 for a pick-up order? - because they redeemed the meal and at least filled me up when the empty tacos did not. On the bright side, the food at least tasted fine, and the salsa verde was on point. But I wont be spending nearly $20 for a sub-par meal here again, hate to say.

Been ordering from there quite often for many months and at one point thought of it as my favorite place to get delivery food in Madison but wont order again after today.. The guy taking my order was obviously pissed off to be there and even after telling him my credit card number as slowly as possible he still messed it up. Well the guy apparently messed up my order too cuz I received a flimsy cheese quesadilla instead of the chicken I ordered. (Whats weird too is I said 2 chicken quesadillas yet got 1 chicken one cheese, how does one mishear "2 chicken quesadillas."). It really baffles me but people will surprise you. The worst was when I called back and the guy pretty much told me so what.. Youd hope the guy who could t get an order right would redeem themselves, especially with someone who orders weekly but sadly not so. This establishment is off my list and will no longer suggest them to others. I guess when they say "no frills" they must think customer service is a frill... Go to chipotle and save yourself the headache.

My first time trying these horrible bland burritos..and I will never ever order or recommend a dog to eat there..the food has no flavor what so ever and the chicken burrito was disgusting...I spoke to general manager and he could care less if you like or not...most establishments refund and apologize for the inconvenience but not him...Now I see why certain businesses just cant make it..Not only the food is bad but they rob you of your money and dont care..Ill keep letting people know to never eat there that I know cause if your meat is not seasoned and I read a lot of reviews stating the same then why would I eat there...I dont have hypertension and need food with no flavor...Sorry for the people that put up with this crap with out complaining. I just wish I can locate on the internet the owner cause hopefully hell start visiting his stores more often and sample this nonseasoned food thats being sold...Sorry to hear by general manager that the owner backs him...So sad you all treat customers the way you treated me...
