We went to The Oak Table Cafe in Silverdale this morning after reading all the reviews on Yelp. The setting was beautiful--you can see the forests around Silverdale, the Mall, and the water and there are binoculars at some of the tables facing out the windows. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, beautiful floors, beautiful decorations and wallpaper. The staff was very kind, friendly and helpful. Our server today was Sierra and she was fabulous. We explained wed never been there before and asked for her suggestions. She recommended the "lighter fare" of one piece of French toast, one egg, choice between 2 slices of bacon or 2 sausages, coffee, and one juice. We, of course took her suggestion. After reading some of the posts on Yelp I asked for my eggs to be really well done (HATE gooey, runny eggs!) and that the bacon be really crisp and I got exactly what I requested and was even told that if my egg wasnt done right they could easily put it back in the frying pan, which I thought was extremely kind! Initially I wasnt certain that one piece of French toast, two slices of bacon, and one egg was going to be enough for a "hardy breakfast" but it definitely was! The "slice" of French toast was huge and I left feeling stuffed! The syrup was homemade they said and it was so yummy! The juice was actually "fresh squeezed"--not like the kind you buy in the store but like the kind you actually squeeze all of the juice out of the oranges! No sugar added and it was great! Coffee was good, along with free refills! We have gone to Ivars Salmon House near the U of W in Seattle for years for my birthday celebration and just learned that they no longer serve their fabulous Sunday brunch buffet so we were trying to find a place closer to home that would be a place we could go for those special celebrations--I think we found one! We were very pleased with everything about The Oak Table Cafe and will definitely be returning there more frequently than we went to Ivars near the U of W! Thank you for a wonderful experience; you made this a special day! :) K.A.W. The service was great, the food was great, and ambience was wonderful, and we had a terrific experience!

I do not give 5 stars lightly. 5 stars are not for places that just do what they are supposed to do, what you should expect them to do when you go to them. 5 stars are for the truly exceptional. Oak Table is one of those places. I had the western omelette, and it was heavenly. It was the epitome of what an omelette should be. It came with three of the best buttermilk pancakes I had ever had. The coffee was the perfect temperature, not too hot or cool for drinking, and it came with real creme instead of the little plastic half & half or "creamer" cups. And the service!! I got there at 8:30, about 15 minutes before the morning rush started and only waited a few minutes for a table. Btw, it was a Saturday, and Whaling Days was gearing up so I cant imagine a day with more potential to be busy. The staff was super attentive and polite without being pushy. My coffee was always filled, and they were genuinely concerned with my satisfaction, not just going though the motions to get a better tip. It almost felt as if I was in someones home, or a nice B&B. Go eat here. If there is a long line, wait. Its well worth it. The view is nice, the food and staff are truly amazing, and I promise you will not regret it.

We went on a Sunday and it was, of course, packed. However, after waiting about an hour we checked with the hostess to see if she could approximate how much longer it would be. She glanced down at the list and said we were next. Great! We werent next. After seeing several couples go ahead of us, including one that showed up after us, we asked again and after searching at least two full pages back(!) she told us that our name had somehow gotten crossed off the list and we were skipped! It was obvious she didnt really look the first time we asked, and we had probably been waiting over 20 mins longer than we should have. They apologized, we were were seated. We forgive since after all we are hungry! And the food is highly rated! Our pancakes were raw in the middle and one had a hole ripped out of it from where it had probably been stuck to the pan because it wasnt done. We asked for new ones and they were a bit better. Other than that, the food was OK. Too pricey for what we got, including the terrible front service. Will not return or recommend.

This review is in reference to my third experience with the Oak Table if you see another less complimentary review by me. This trip was much better than previous ones but still there is huge room for improvement. I dont know what they do with the eggs here. Every egg dish that I have had here has had a nice nearly perfect fluffy interior but the outside of the dish has always seemed slightly overcooked and tasteless. This is a shame because I would give them much higher marks if they would fix this one issue. This was the first time that I have had the pancakes that everyone raves about, and I will say that they were cooked with the same care as we use at home. They were nice an fluffy and had what I consider to be a standard pancake flavor. I appreciate the fact that they have real maple syrup, which besides the company was the highlight of the experience. For the price, the quality of the fare was about average but better than average for Kitsap County.

This place is great! If youre not getting the regular pancakes youre doing yourself a disservice. With that in mind, you must try the Apple pancake and the German pancake. There isnt anything on this menu that is bad, except having to come back so many times to think youre going to try something else just to get the pancakes again, and again, and again. Ross is also a pretty awesome dude. He is dedicated to conquering all sorts of challenges; longest self thrown grape caught in a mouth, most eggs cracked in a minute with one hand (to which hes been challenged by some no name chef Gordon Ramsey) Also twice now the Apple pancake hasnt come out to par, which is ridiculous anyway be it looks as awesome and delicious as it tastes, but the chef insists a better one be delivered to the table. Where else does that happen? Only the Oak Table, thats where.

I love Oak Table. I love the food. I love the staff. I love the atmosphere. I just love Oak Table! For the good: I usually get the Strawberry Blitzes which are like giant crepes. They are so delicious and the creme inside is so good. Also, the bacon is thick and crispy. The coffee is some of the best I have had at a restaurant. I tend to drink four or five cups every time I go. The orange juice is fresh squeezed too, so try it in a mimosa! The staff is always super friendly and nice. Cant go wrong with a nice smile. The best part is they never get angry or irritated when we bring a big group in. We still get the great service when we have a party of 10 that we would receive for a party of 2.
