Nice friendly staff. However the food leaves a bit to be desired. The cottage pie an English staple was pretty gross. (Cottage pie is similar to Shepards pie and sometimes the terms are used interchangeably.) Meat was tender but the gravy tasted like some bad instant gravy or very possibly made with bouillon. It was so salty I almost finished a beer by the time I was half way through; which is when I stopped. I just could not stomach anymore. The carrots and peas had been frozen which I could have over looked if the rest was good. Potatoes were the real thing. I know because there were lumps some of the quarter size. People say English food is bad. I say if done well English food is good comfort food. It is dishes like Pickled Onions Cottage pie that give English food a bad name.

The staff allows smoking right outside the door. The whole place reeks like cigarette smoke. I asked the bartender ask them to move and he said he didnt care... great place if u smoke I guess.

I love this place. Always a good spot for a beer. Also nice for English Breakfast or Bangers and Mash. It has Friendly staff, locals seem to like it, and I definitely recommend it.

They discriminate against medical marijuana patients and called the cops on our group for smelling like weed (all of who were legal mmj patients)
