Absolutely great food... grinder is 1 of best sandwiches Ive had anywhere. Great bread & textures, perfect balance of stuff on sandwich, imported hvarti cheese is nice touch. Fondue appetizers is fantastic with best pita Ive had, plus extra bread given for left overs. Fettuccine is good, garlic sauce is well balanced (not too rich or bland). Monstrous Italian soda with massive topping of fresh whip cream (might want only half of norm) its not too rich or bland/seltzer. Non salad eating friend even loves their salad and ranch, plus great semi soft fresh croutons. Everything seems to be made in house or fresh daily. MASSIVE size proportions thats enough for 2 full meals at minimum and well worth reasonable cost. You want to keep eating (and I did) but doesnt give you a gross, heavy, gut bomb feel when you do over eat a bit. Had good service from friendly genuine staff. Atmosphere is nice change with far more of a genuine neighborhood restaurant vibe vs mass market chain store or strip mall feel. A true and rare gem for the wider area thats been highly lacking in my experience.

This is my absolutely favorite Pizza. There is a nice thick layer of cheese and the toppings are under the cheese instead of burning on top of the pizza like at most places. I have also had their spaghetti and enjoyed it, however on the negative side, the side salad that comes with it is just a layer of shredded mozzarella on top of lettuce. They could do something to make the side salad more exciting and maybe it doesnt need as much cheese on it as the pizza. The service is usually excellent, but there have been a few times lately where it wasnt as good as it used to be... but the main reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because many times I have tried to call in an order and they never bother to answer the phone. I get it, you may be busy... maybe you could invest in a way to order online, but it is very frustrating when you are wanting some of the best pizza in the area and they dont even pick up the phone to take your take out order.

We have been local Lake Stevens residents for many years and have always given Contos are business. Tonight we went and were treated like cattle on our way to the slaughter. Although the food has always been excellent, tonight the service killed any and all faith in our favorite local restaurant. The service was so deplorable that for the first time in many years I requested to speak with management. Thinking I would get a favorable response I explained to the manager on duty our dilemma and to my surprise there was little or no reaction. Just an Im sorry and thank you for letting me know. Not even a discount on the bill or complimentary anything. Needless to say Neapolis was always our second choice and I am glad to say we will NEVER return to Contos. If you want a slap in the face and pay alot of money for it, then by all means go to Contos. If you want quality food and GREAT / FRIENDLY service, then head to Neapolis.

About what you youd expect in a school cafeteria. Ive eaten here several times over the last five or so years and without fail, Ive always been disappointed. The food is fairly bland. The service is fair. The restaurant is clean and you arent crowded. For the bland quality of the food, Id say its over priced. Im not going to say its bad, for cafeteria quality food but if youre looking for good quality Italian food youll have to go elsewhere. Unfortunately I havent found a really good Italian restaurant North of Grazie Ristorante at Canyon Park in Bothell. There used to be Nana Carmelas in Monroe but that closed several years ago.

I ordered a Cesar salad and I got more mozzarella cheese than I did actual salad.My husband ordered the chicken parmesan bake with spaghetti and there was a very thick layer of mozzarella.There was more cheese than the actual meal.The chicken was the same chicken they used for the kids menu chicken strips.I guess if you like your food completely covered with mozzarella cheese then this is the place to go.But for now I will stick with my own Italian food recipe where you can actually enjoy and taste good food instead of melted cheese.

After moving to Lake Stevens to little more than a year ago, we always ordered pizza, this time we decided to sit down and have a pasta dinner. My wife had the shrimp fettuccine but she had them make it with the marinara sauce rather than the Alfredo sauce and I have the Canelloni. We could not be more impressed. The meat sausme in the Canelloni was a bit salty but otherwise absolutely delicious. This place is a must-visit no matter what.

5:30pm Friday night, I understand that you are most likely busy but to not answer the phone? Just plain old poor management. I have ordered take out here more than 10 times and are normally staffed more of than adequately to serve the dining area AND answer the phone for pick up orders. We are pretty disappointed. The pizza is my favorite so they will get another chance. If you choose to dine here, do it Sunday through Thursday.

We went there 8/28/10 and will never return. I have been there many times in the past with good experiences both in service and food. This time the service was terrible and the food was marginal at best. I believe our server was Katie? It wasnt a busy Saturday at all... but you would have thought it was packed and only one server working. Things were basically thrown on the table, very rude, not customer friendly at all.

Great food! Nice environment . Only downside is since its soo good its pretty busy Friday nights and a few times we have waited for a while. But, its worth it as well. Even having pick up it has been great just a handful of times it still wasnt ready after the quoted time but that was due to how busy they were! Maybe a bigger space!!! I would have done 5 but a few of those wait times were kinda bad.

Ive heard the food is fantastic but when I came in today and placed my name on the list with a 45 minute wait. I will wait for good food. When I went back 15 minutes later to check my time they said it would be 90 minutes. I called to talk to the manager after I left and after stating that she seated three other large groups before us she hung up. Will never eat from here. Very rude manager.

The food here is SO GOOD, I cant even describe! My grandparents have been fairly regular customers for 30 years, even after moving away from Lake Stevens. It is now my favorite place. When anyone comes out to visit and wants to go out to eat, this is where I take them. Make sure to treat yourself (and/or the kids!) with an Italian soda, you will not be disappointed!
