Not smart business IQ. Stayed at Fairfield Inn right next door. Fairfield provided a 10% discount coupon that was good for 5 close by restaurants. When I went to use it on my $12.35 order, the young lady said they dont honor it. Said Fairfield put them on the coupon without their permission. I told her that we had stayed at that motel before and they accepted it. She said only for eat in. We didnt eat in anyway, and I thought you just said you didnt accept it. Told this to the manager at the Fairfield, who said they have got complaints before and sometimes they accept but are inconsistent. Manager said he was going to take their name off the recommended restaurant list and encourage their guest to not patronize. So for a 10% reduction of $1.23 they will no longer get the recommendation of this very busy franchise hotel 100 yards from their front door. As for the food, it had good flavor but the Cashew Chicken skimped on both the cashew and the chicken.

Good selection of dishes but they seemed like theyve been sitting put for a while. The fried rice, noodles several varieties of meats were all dried out from being under the heat lamps too long. I was in there for nearly half an hour and not one dish was refilled on the buffet stand. Granted, there doesnt seem to be enough customer flow to keep dishes fresh, during my time there there was only 3 other individuals to walk through the door and this was supposed to be lunch hour rush...

Golden China has really excellent food on their menu. They will accommodate your taste if they can and create something for you if you ask. If youre looking for all you can eat buffet there are plenty of other places to go, nothing special here. I do want to repeat (because I want them to stay in business), their menu items can be EXCELLENT and there isnt a better Chinese restaurant anywhere close or in Shenandoah County.

Went on a Saturday evening and were pretty much the only ones there. Not too much choice in the buffet items and a lot of them seemed to be a little old or leftover from lunch. Little to no salad bar or fruit, either...but the staff was very friendly and quick to help. Easy spot to get a quick bite from staying at the hotel next door.

We have been in here a number of times the quality of food has supercede other competitive restaurants. We have been in there at 830 and the food still is put out fresh unlike other Chinese places. The young man working always accomandates to our needs and ensures the customers are taking care of. I think Im going to revisit now

After reading some of the reviews I was nervous but i was starving. I was the first one in for lunch. Buffet is small. everything I had was good. No complaints with the food. If youre a driver parked across the street, its worth the very short walk.

the service was terrible and the food tasted absolutely awful. was in town and wanted to grab a quick bite after a long hike, but had a horrible dinner. all the food had a weird taste and even the water was metallic-y. disgusting place!

Food is great. They dont put much out to begin with but they make fresh while you are there. Why should they waste food by putting a whole bunch out & no people to eat it? A bit more expensive but well worth it & service is good.

We live in town and frequent here often, we rarely do the buffet and can understand some of the observations from other reviewers. However, ordered food is great, especially their Beef w/ Broccoli.

Went to this place with my friends everyone love the food and the service was really nice. The whole restaurant seems to be much more cleaner than I expected. Definitely will go again!

Im from Winchester and only go to this restaurant for Chinese food. It is by far the best and you get more for your money! Ive never tried the buffet so not sure if its good.

I go for the buffet at lunch time whenever I have reason to be in the area. The food tatse great, service is minimal but attentive and the resturant is clean an neat.
