Discriminating judge here (IPA Fan). Living in the west end over 10 years, and consistently let down by places like BJs, Rock Bottom..."places claiming to be a brewery". I was naturally skeptical about KS. But it is the real deal. I spent time in Downingtown, PA (Victory Brewing). KS reminds me a lot of Victory when they first started. Ill only speak of IPAs, (thats all I tried) but if you like hoppy & bold IPAs they have 3 you should consider trying. They are not overdone, IMO. If you like Hardywood/Center of the Universe/Midnight, put KS on your list to check out. I didnt see any "goofy" beers on the list. Quite reasonable ambiance inside for a start up, coupled by friendly service. I give it a solid 4 out of 5, and wish them the best of success.

Amazingly flavorful beer! As a beer lover I have tried every brewery around Richmond and kindred is my overall favorite! The live music and food truck events are a blast and fun for the whole family. Even the bathrooms are unique.
