Awesome, Outstanding and Amazing!!! I love the County Seat. I hadnt been in 5 years, but decided to go in on my way to visit my Nana. The staff is friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Part of the charm is what this restaurant is built on, a family foundation. Pictures grace the walls and youre actually looking at a legacy of women who bake, cook and pass on recipes to carry that legacy forward. The Grandmother, who has since passed on made the biscuits, the daughter made the pies and cakes. If youre family has southern roots (or just like home cooked food!), the County Seat answers that call. My favorite cake is the caramel and the lemon chess will have you smiling all day. (You can actually pre-order and theyll have it ready for your flight home). The County Seat has become a staple on my visits to VA and will continue to. Theyve added some new features, like Taco Tuesday and Live Music, to keep up with changing times, but my taste buds will always be tantalized by the nostalgic flavors of times gone by. LOVE YALL AT THE COUNTY SEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have only been here for breakfast 3-4 times. The best breakfast Ive ever had anywhere. Im old & fat with lots of eating experience and I know good food. This place has it. Since I live in North Carolina I really havent had an opportunity to eat either lunch or dinner but am looking forward to that one day. Atmosphere is not unusual, but clean and the staff has been very friendly. I expect you will also enjoy it. Watch the low hanging roof over the buffet table on the side wall. I bump my head every time and I usually visit that table twice during breakfast. I should have learned by now.

A group of us attended the Breakfast Buffet to celebrate Fathers Day. This was the first time that my friend and I had eaten here and we both live in the west end of Richmond. We both thought the selection of the food was fantastic, the service was excellent(group of three tables), and the best Bloody Marys in town. Thank you for such a wonderful breakfast, fellowship with family and friends, and meeting the owner.

Its alright if you dont expect much and are there on a good day. Service is hit and miss as the food. If your Powhatan local then you probably love it but for non-natives its a little sub par.
