I ordered a dozen cupcakes on 10/20 to pick up on 10/31 for an important event with my companys CEO and president. On 10/24 I realized that I needed to get them earlier in the day than I had indicated, so I called the shop to let them know. No answer, so I left a message. Nobody called me back, so on 10/27 I went in to the shop to make sure I could pick them up at noon. I left the message with one of the women working the counter. No problem, right? Wrong! I get a call at 10 AM on 10/30 from the manager explaining that she just checked her phone messages (!!) and that my cupcakes wouldnt be ready on time. I explained that I also came in and left the message personally, but she said she never got it. Could I come in at 2 PM? Yes, I will have to adjust my work schedule. Then I get a call at 11:30, again from the manager, explaining that now the cupcakes would be ready at 12:30. Fine, I will rearrange my schedule again to come in then. So I take my lunch hour to go get my order. When I get there, I find that they decided to give me different cupcakes than I had ordered. The manager explained that they only have one cake decorator and theyre really busy with other orders, so I wont get what I ordered, but the ones I DID get will taste really good. What??? The cake decorator pipes in that I can get the cupcakes I ordered, but shed have to make them, which would mean I would have to come back. After all, they had to make the cupcakes in a hurry since they never got my messages. I have no clue why they would change an order without calling the customer -- its not like they didnt have my phone number since they called twice already the same day. Frosted is depending on cute cupcakes and other baked goods to keep them in business. But the people working and running the shop arent concerned about the experience their customers have. My small order of a dozen cupcakes might have meant significant return business. It also could have meant great word of mouth. Instead it means that I would rather go to HEB or Kroger before I ever give them another dime. And I wont hesitate to let people know how bad my experience with this business was.

I have purchased several cupcakes & cookies from Frosted in the past and present. The customer service here is extremely poor. I can honestly say that out of all of my visits, not a single personel has been friendly or courteous to me or my family, to this date. Today I was served by a young girl (perhaps 10-12 years of age). As she placed my cupcakes in the box, (the box was placed next to a toddler that was seated on the glass cupcake counter), her hair continuously burshed up against the frosting on my cupcakes. When I mentioned it to her, she smeared the cupcake frosting from her hair and off of her shirt and continued to place cupcakes in the box. The adults (two adults standing behind her) did not step in to help the child or establish some level of professionalism in the situation. While I do understand that this may/may not be a family establishment, some level of professional, hygiene, and respect for the customers product should be taken into consideration. Additionally, managment prices Frosteds cupcakes in line with various premier bakeries. I would understand this pricing if I could truly see the added value in bring my business to Frosted (i.e. customer service, flavor etc). The truth is that I can get tastier cupcakes and cookies elsewhere with better customer service. Going forward, I will go to other establishments instead. I have given this establishment several opportunities to earn and keep my business as I am a huge advocate of promoting local businesses. I, however, will not be returning to this establishment as I do not see any added value in bringing my business to Frosted.

I ordered cupcakes and a grooms cake for my wedding. at first everything was great. scheduled a tasting and put in our order with specific instructions that I wanted my cupcakes on a cake stand to appear like a wedding cake. when delivered to the reception hall they didnt have the stand and said it would cost extra for the rental of the stand. also I had ordered my anniversary cake to be packed up ready to freeze and had already paid extra for that and this was also put out on the table with the rest of the cupcakes. thankfully my mother noticed it before anyone cut into it and packed it up for me. ( thanks mom) now a year later we got into the cake that was not only not how I asked for it. this cake was also decorated completely different than what I wanted I had asked for red velvet with cream cheese frosting. what I got was a plain ass white cake with fondant creating a barrier to the damn thing after being frozen. not happy at all and now it has been too long to go back in and complain about them making me upset on my wedding day!!

I am very disappointed as I had high hopes for this bakery. I didnt feel like baking 40 cupcakes for a baby shower I was throwing so from a recommendation I decided to order them here. Pros: Pretty cupcakes. Not as creative as I thought they would have been, but the colors matched perfectly and they were very appealing to the eye. Cons: **The cupcakes are small and theyre $3 EACH. If they had tasted amazing, I might not have an issue with it; but, there was nothing special at all to them. I ordered Lemon Raspberry and it tasted like a pink lemonade kool-aid packet. So, I was terribly disappointed that I had to pay $120 for 40 cupcakes when I could have gone to HEB for a fraction of the cost and they would have tasted better. **The frosting was terrible. I bit into it and if felt like I was chewing actual sugar. It reminded me of those cheap cupcakes that you used to get as a kid at birthday parties. I really wanted to find a good bakery close by. Oh well.

I ordered a cake for a baby shower from Frosted. I chose one of their designs and made some easy alterations(colors). When my husband picked up the cake, they did not know which one was mine as it was not labeled, they also left holes in the top from a stand and had attitude when my husband asked them to fix it. When he brought the cake home I noticed the colors were wrong, there was no bow on top, and the animals were not fondant, they were wood from Hobby Lobby. I called the bakery and explained the situation, their response was, after she argued that the "owner" said the cake was right, "well, you already took the cake out of the bakery so there is nothing we can do". I would expect more professionalism from a custom bakery shop. Obviously they do not care about their reputatation. I will never go to this bakery again and I told everyone at the shower NOT to go to Frosted, and I will tell everyone I know who is looking for a bakery NOT to go to Frosted.

About a year ago the so-so bakery in our neighborhood changed names to Frosted Bakery. Since it had changed names we figured we would give it another shot (having been disappointed in the previous shop), and were amazed by this little unassuming shop, and the level of talent, and taste they offered. Frosteds treats have become a staple at our family functions, and we havent had a birthday since (we have a large family) that hasnt had a Frosted cake at the center of the table. We love this place. We have ordered carved sheet cakes, petitfours, cupcakes, customized sugar cookies, and even a 3-D cake for my daughters sweet 16, and have been more than impressed with them, and the service we recieved, every time. I have recommended this place to all of my friends, and been to several of their parties, and noticed that they followed my advice... so for anyone else out there, THIS PLACE IS AWESOME.
