Worst customer service I have ever experienced. While still in high school I worked at two different Diary Queen locations opened and operated by different people. The level of service and cleanliness both of them instilled in me at such a young age has carried over. I can handle bad service from most food service providers as I just refuse to ever visit those locations again, but having worked for Dairy Queen I hold each location to the same impeccable standards. My family lives in McKinney so I would like to say this is a favorite destination during the summer, but each time we have gone we have been met with awful service and even worse food/ice cream. It seems that each employee is worse the one before. When I worked at DQ it was mandatory to ask each customer if they would like lids and napkins. At this location they pretty much throw your items at your through the window and act put out if you hesitate to drive away because you need to ask for napkins. Unlike many people, I fully understand that during peak times the ice cream lines get full of air and the ice cream becomes liquified as it has not had enough time to freeze. This is fine and I am fully understanding if maybe the employees would say something like "Please pull over to your right and we will bring you your blizzard as soon as we can, we need to give the machines a couple minuets to freeze." Instead I have been met with runny blizzards leaking overflowing as it has no lid. Ultimately we have ended up with runny, chocolaty mess all over our laps, hands and car and no napkins to wipe it up. My recommendation would be to replace the attitude sporting, zombie-like staff with people that actually care about having a job regardless of being in the food industry or not. They do exist!

This is the absolute worst resteraunt I have ever gone to. Ever. And Im a big guy. Ive been to a lot of resteraunts. The employees are rude. Me and my girlfriend went to eat here and the manager, THE MANAGER for godsake, comes out from behind the counter and makes out with her boyfriend very sexually. There were children in this resteraunt. That is not right. The food is nuked upon order and tastes terrible. The tables are not attached to the ground. Literally. You can sit in the seat and it will move. I went to this resteraunt the other day after it had recently rained. It was leaking around the entire resteraunt from the roof. It was disgusting because the workers didnt even do anything to collect the leaking water. They just let it leak onto their tables. Feeling queasy, I went to the restroom which didnt have a lock and was a one-at-a-time restroom. I entered it and was (and, upon further review, wasnt) shocked to find that it had a huge in its ceiling and floor and the sink is not attached to the floor but is held up with a pair of ceramic poles. do not go here.

Wow... this location is the worst Ive seen in a long time. Im not even sure what to write because our experience was so horrible. I guess Ill just give the facts. And times below are literal, no exaggeration: 10 minute wait to get to speaker 5 minute wait to order 10 minute wait at window 15 minute wait after we "pulled around" to wait for our order. The ice cream melted, the food was served lukewarm, and the staff sucks. Im not even sure what to say. Im dumbfounded that any fast food place can be THIS bad. I mean, Ive had bad experiences, but this... is just... I dont even know. Stay away from here.

I do not now what is going on there but the last 2 visits were a disaster. I have been coming to this Dairy Queen for over 15 yrs. I have never had a complaint. Last week I came thru the drive thru I had 2 separate orders when I got back to work they were wrong. We ate them anyway - no time to go back for a correct order. Today I came thru the drive thru with the same order & got back to work with another messed up order. I should have checked the order before leaving. I will try 1 more time if it is messed up I will not do business there any longer.

We have been to Dairy Queens all over, and this was absolutely the worst. Show up and there is no line in drive thru and only 2 families that are already eating their food in the dining area. We try to order some soft serve, but they dont have chocolate. After finally figuring out what we wanted since we couldnt enjoy our favorites we had to wait for 20 minutes to see our treats. This is not acceptable for a fast food restaurant. The quality of which is easily beaten at any other fast food place in McKinney.

This is the only Dairy Queen in McKinney. Please, will someone remodel this place. I love Dairy Queen, but only rarely go here, because its kind of gross. It smells like tobacco from all the years smoking was allowed inside. The food is fine. Its more or less what youd expect, if you grew up on Dairy Queen. That being said, it youre one of those people that misses the "old McKinney" and wont go west of 75 without a critical smirk...well, this place is a time machine.

My cousin Brenda is what you would call obese and she didnt have rent one month because she kept eating lunch and dinner up there everyday.She always orders 2 8 piece chicken fingers and 2 sundaes My aunt had to give her $600 dollars so she dont get evicted. and she still eating up there everyday

Usually I purchase the same order every 10 days but today they made the 2 blizzards which sat in the window with Sun hitting it next both cheese burgers where wrong geez did not have a nice dinner this time!! And its been an hour and the blizzards are still to soft to eat in the freezer!!

Ive only been through the drive-thru and only had the chicken strips but they were very good! The only issue is the wait time. 10-15 minutes for 4 chicken strips? Also the drive thru window is oddly placed so that only 3 cars can be in the line before they are in the street.

Burger meat taste re-heated & they were busy so it should have been fresh. Poor customer service. After my meal, I had to wait 15 minutes more to get my dessert that I had already paid for. I will only stop by for an occasional Blizzard & get it when I pay.

Josh, the drive-thru server here, was rude, sarcastic, and disrespectful. The fervor with which he did this was kind of amazing. The world is his enemy, and we are mere pawns in his crusade against paying customers. 2 stars for getting the order right!

Long time running business with the same delicious food and treats! They always make my mixed malts the best! The older staff members even remember me and have my malt made before im up to order, makes it more enjoyable and comfortable to be here!

Great blizzards and banana splits plus I like that they still flip the blizzard over! This location is always super clean too, about the only bad thing is the drive thru runs through the parking lot so good luck trying to leave during a rush.

The price of the food is not worth the headache to order it. I never understand why they put the newest person or rudest person at the counter to take your order. If they would simply take the time to LISTEN, that would be a good start.
