We have eaten at a Red Robin in Independence, Missouri several times and really liked it so after discovering one in Garland we knew we had to go. The food is good but the service was lacking. We were there at 11:00am on Friday with hardly anyone else there yet. Our waitress took our order and then delivered it. We did not see her again until she brought us the check. What good did it do to order bottomless fries when we did not get a chance to get any more? My daughter had ordered one of the chicken burgers but got the same thing that I ordered, which was a chicken wrap. Apparently the waitress not listening very well. After she brought us the check we told her we would have liked more fries but now we were through and leaving. Her statement was " I got slammed". How could she have gotten slammed when there were only a handful of customers when we arrived. I thought you take care of all customers the same. Of course she had gotten a large party so she was expecting a bigger tip than just the 3 of us. We will give it another chance but our favorite one is in Missouri. It is now 7/11/09 and we have eaten here several more times since my initial review and I have to say that the service has improved..It probably was just that one server.. We had an excellent server here today named Heather...Wonderful food and my favorite place to go to for my birthday, which was today. I get coupons emailed to me from Red Robin and was always go now...I always get the same thing though.. Scared to try anything different.. I love the Whiskey River chicken wrap with the French Onion soup.

Went on a crowded Saturday afternoon and still had a great experience. Lots of people ahead of us and still the wait was minimal. We entertained ourselves with their chalk board in the meantime. Got seated in a comfy booth with plenty of room. Despite being very full, I didnt feel crowded in. Nice TVs showing sports everywhere. We were waited on quickly and ordered an appetizer. Our server was friendly and gave excellent service. Order was promptly taken and appetizer came quickly. I was really amazed at the high level of service for such a packed restaurant. Food was exactly as ordered and was very good. Restrooms were clean. We never felt rushed to vacate our table for other customers. The pretzel bites appetizer was yummy but I thought the price was a bit high for such a small portion. There were way too few pretzels and only a tiny tub of cheese. Comeon guys, theyre pretzels for crying out loud. Increase the portion or lower the price. Actually, all of the menu prices are a little high for what you get. I also wish they served Pepsi drinks here. Im so sick of Coke products being the only soda restaurants offer and I dont like Dr. Pepper that much. Aside from those minor gripes, my mushroom burger was great and cooked perfectly with plenty of mushrooms. My burger was on par with the mushroom burger from Scotty Ps. The tortilla soup was okay but not anything special. Houlihans still has the best. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their meal. Red Robin has a good thing going and I hope they will continue. It was a really good experience and I will be returning.

My husband and son and I went on a trek to try Red Robin last night, at the advice of one of our sons friends. We were sorely disappointed. The food in no way lives up to the reputation and advertising. My chili cheeseburger had perhaps 2-3 tablespoon of chili on it (not "messy", as advertised,) and it was mostly heat-no flavor. Our son (who has pretty high standards for cheeseburgers) took a couple of bites of his sandwich, and told us that this would be a one and only stop, as far as he was concerned. My husband pronounced his burger, "okay". Our son ordered a diet coke and received a Dr.Pepper. (The waiter had just been suggesting Dr. Pepper..honest mistake, I guess). I asked for lemon for my water which I didnt receive the first time, and every time we tried to catch the servers eye, we looked right past us. Okay, so we werent ready the very first second he approached our table, and I asked that there not be any mayo anywhere near my sandwich...Maybe he was insulted? I was asked if I wanted more water right before the check was delivered, Id been out for some time. The gratuity he received was commensurate with the service we received. No one said "thanks for coming in", "see ya", whatever. No matter....It was a huge waste of time and I now know where our family wont return. There were about 6 tables seated at 7:30PM, so "busy" isnt the excuse here....

Horrible. My girlfriend and I went for lunch for the first time at this location. We have never ever had a problem before at another location in SA so we decided to go here. My girlfriend ordered a simple order: created her own burger with cheddar cheese, lettuce, and jalapeños. I created a burger as well with BBQ sauce, mustard, pickles, and pepper jack cheese. Our first burgers that came out: hers had cheddar cheese, lettuce, pickles (which she is allergic to), mustard (didnt ask for), and BBQ sauce(also didnt ask for). Mine also had cheddar cheese (I asked for pepper jack), lettuce(which I didnt ask for), and BBQ sauce. She had to send hers back and they took mine too to fix as well. They brought back my burger which was finally correct but the patty was burned up and my whole burger tasted like charcoal. My girlfriends was still wrong (had BBQ sauce in it again) and although she had ordered medium well she agreed that hers tasted like charcoal too. We were still asked to pay for our meal and all the manager did was offer us some more fries. I highly doubt well be visiting this location again.

This place used to be really good and I loved coming here, so when my husband and I were looking for a place to take a friend out to for his birthday we thought of here! We were very disappointed with our recent visit here and we will not be coming back it was that bad. The waitress did not know what the items on the menu were and could not tell us the difference between two items, she got our order wrong, it took forever to get her back to the table to refill our drinks, she kept talking to other staff members instead of taking our order, we kept trying to get her to take our order back and get it correct but she kept forgetting, she was so terrible that I assumed that she was new so I asked her how long she had been there, she said a couple years! It was horrible, we ate the order that was wrong and got out as soon as possible. We would have spoken to a manager but they were getting very busy and we made a complaint the following day, but the taste of the food was so poor that we wont be back anyway.

Came here with a very large group for a pre-wedding day celebration, and everything was amazing. We definitely werent the easiest group, what with half of the party coming in at least a half hour later than the rest of us, but the staff were amazing and didnt even seem phased. I dont think our bottomless drinks ever ran out before a replacement hit the table. The drinks were amazing, the food was good, and I am incredibly impressed with the service. The serving girls were cheerful and happy the whole evening, kept our (self-imposed) full tables clear of excess cups and appetizer dishes, and were in general amazing servers. Sam and Margaret and Chessie were probably the best Ive seen in a while. Thanks for the amazing evening, girls! First time at Red Robin and it wont be the last!
