I have lived in Galveston for 30 years, am a Chinese food addict and so have eaten at hundreds of high quality Chinese restaurants all over the U.S., especially in the competitive northeast. In terms of quality and quantity, China Sea in Galveston is similar to the best Chinese takeout food that you can get anywhere. In terms of price China Sea is dirt cheap. Compared to China Sea all other Chinese food on the island is a joke. For Japanese, go Yamatos. For Chinese, its China Sea!

Food is not worth what you pay. Hot and sour soup tasted off, it was sweet for some reason. Beef and broccoli was alright but not sizeable enough to justify the price. Fried wontons were super stale. Chili oil was mild at best. I remember coming here before and liking it about two years ago but it seems like the quality has severely diminished within that time. Good luck China Sea!

I asked for broccoli instead of the usual vegetables with my lunch order and the lady looked at me like I KILLED someone. Then spoke very angry chinese to a gentlemen right next to us. I asked "Is it a problem to get another vegetable". She looked dead at me and walked away without saying anything. Food is a decent value but politeness and customer service are not on the menu...

I basically get chinese from this place every week or two weeks... because it is simply THE BEST. It tastes great, its seasoned delicously... and its SO AFFORDABLE. Best Chinese Food that Galveston has to offer... and I personally think its better than a lot of the places I go to in Houston. GO TO CHINA SEA FOR CHINESE FOOD IF YOURE EVER IN THE GALVESTON AREA! :-)

My family and I wanted something different but sav your time and money. Horrible place staffing was very rude and in a hurry when we were the only ones in there, didnt look clean and the food was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. We got chicken fried rice and it was hard along with the peas and carrots. We threw the food away and got burgers.

This is the worst chinese food Ive ever eaten. I was very disillusioned by the fact that it had great ratings and wasnt up to par. Usually chinese food fills you up, and it did, with regret. I will no longer look for good chinese food in Galveston. Thank you China Sea for tearing my feelings apart towards "respectable" chinese food.

For the price and the taste this place truly is a new favorite of mine, especially on the island. I ordered the Sesame chicken combo plate my first go here and it came complete with Broccoli, Wonton or Egg Drop Soup with chips and rice. The staff was friendly and the portion size was more than plenty for me!

Only gave 1 star because 0 stars wasnt an option.the sesame beef was soggy and almost all batter. Kung pao chicken horrible.eggroll tast like cinnamon.worst Chinese food ever. General joes chicken hard as a rock.fried wings were only thing edible yet stillsub par.

Im a traditionally skeptical Chinese myself and tried pretty much every chinese-looking restaurant around here. The food at this place is probably as most Chinese as it can get on the island sofar. Of course, if you insist on REAL real chinese food, go to H-town.

Food was extremely horrible. The chicken smelled rotten . they would not even give the courtesy of exchanging for a new plate of food. Service was terrible. They were very rude.I would rate them a 0 but 1 is the lowest you Can go. Do not recommend this place.

I live in Galveston, and I will have to say they have the best Chinese food in town. There shrimp fried rice is a little different but its so good, and great portions of it too. I will have to say that there Won ton Soup is the best!

Great Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, and lo mein. Theyre from New York, and if you know anything about Chinese food in Texas, its hard to find great eats. I recommend them 100 percent. Trust me, Im from Connecticut!
