First let me mention how crappy Corpus Christi is in general, this is the wackest city with absolutely no personality. Everywhere people worked in customer service it was just terrible. Me and my boyfriend trying to check out a couple of bars late at night and found out Corpus Christi really does not have a night life. This place was a bit dirty when we walked in, but we decided to give it a chance because of the beer selection as far as we could see. When we walked in the food area was closed and it said you have to order at the bar. We went to the bar and the bar was filthy and wet and the bartenders only paid attention to one end of the bar the entire time. Then some guy that worked there walks up to me and literally whispers something and I thought he was drunk. Turns out he worked there and he was trying to tell me that they did not allow ecigs in the bar. I looked at my boyfriend in confusion and then the guy spoke up that they did not allow ecigs so I put it away and me and my boyfriend continued to wait on the bartenders. For a few minutes we just waited and they never came to the end of the bar so we decided with the dirty bar, the creepy little guy that worked there, and no service, we pretty much just left. We just didnt feel welcome as customers. Good riddens Corpus Christi and your crappy night life!

Nasty and expensive .we are by the ocean and i get nasty frozen fish...the fries where nasty....my kids could not even eat the burger they ordered. The portions where small everyhting was greasy.and the prices where outrages specially for what we got.....also no wait staff. You have to go pick up your own food at the window .when your food is ready they dont even notify you so your food sits in the window...what a nasty experience we had.specially for corpus christi....i was expecting real fish and chip considering we are at the coast.....i encourage noone to go there...lol but some folks will have to try it for themselves i guess. Good luck and happy dinning. Disgusting nasty nasty nasty....btw if you read any good reviews on this place...its a lie...lol

Came in from out of town for Labor Day and this is the first place we stopped at, which was the perfect start to a CC outing! Groovy ambiance, cool music. Went in the afternoon and there was live music and not too many people. Great beer selection and a helpful bartender. Loved the veggie burger option and food was good, Im not sure why everyone was hating on their fries! They were just your average fries. Only 4 stars because I didnt like the ordering system and since we sat outside we had to keep checking inside if our food was out yet. Besides the cool bartender service was meh.

I have eaten here on several different occasions. The food is always consistent but better than your typical bar food fare. They have a good selection of sandwiches from hamburgers and taco to shrimpburgers and Fish & Chips. The drink specials are very good, epically on Tuesdays. Reminds me of the place I used to hang out in college - same kind of vibe. For the price and quality of the food, I would recommend this place to anyone staying downtown Corpus if you want to experience the local bar scene.

I went to Corpus for a Skills USA . We actually asked a cop in the street for a good place to eat and he recommend this place.My friends and I loved it we went to eat there 3 days out of the 4 we where in Corpus since it was close the hotel. The place was pretty chill and the burgers were pretty good. We went once at night it was a lil too grown up for us with the bar and stuff (We were seniors in high school) but if we were of age im sure we would of enjoyed it

I was in town on business and looking for something to eat that was close to the beach. I ordered a shrimp wrap with chips and queso. I ate half of the shrimp wrap and started eating the queso. After I was a few chips in, I picked up a chip and there was a live bug walking around on the chip under the chip I was about to eat. Needless to say I lost my appetite and left. I was, and still am, absolutely disgusted and will never eat here again.

One member of the staff was very nice every other employee was very rude. Whenn i went to order they said i couldnt order kids menu for my 2 boys the owner/manager came out amd said they would only make hamburgers to speed up wait time and nothing else at all. I kindly explained my boys wont eat hamburgers only chicken nuggets and he told me to go somewhere else then. Horrible experience would not reccomed anybody to stop here for food.

You go to the Surf Club to have a good time. The atmosphere is the best part! If you are not from CC you probably wont appreciate this restaurant/bar.Food selection is basic (and ALWAYS good) ie. burgers, salads, nachos, etc. Order Battered Fries!!! There must be a reason I keep coming back! (dont pay attention to the negative comments because those people dont know what theyre talking about)

I have been going to eat there for years and it seems like the condition of this place is declining. They need to spend some money and clean the place up. Today while eating there I noticed how filthy the floor was where I was sitting. And to top it off I saw 3 live baby roaches on the wall next to me. This is a total turn off to my appetite. Its time to do some maintenance.

If you are a tourist and are looking for a chill bar to hit up this is your place. You could walk in here in shorts and scandals and fit right in. The drinks are always nice and strong. The place itself is out dated but its doable. They have a sweet foosball table to play with friends. They play pretty good music in the patio area on certain nights. It gets pretty packed.

This place is very open and friendly. Has good food for cheap prices. I think I spent $30 for food and drinks for 2 people. If you go here BRING A SHARPIE! You can sign damn near anything to from chairs, the wall, the ceiling if you can reach it. The staff dont keep permanent markers in the building either and I was disappointed I didnt get to leave a note.

If this was based on food only, it would be 1 star at most. For a surf themed place blocks from the water the seafood selection was limited & mostly deep fried. Both our orders were very greasy, especially the fries. And the food took forever. Good atmosphere for some beer but if you want to eat, go elsewhere. Bar service was very friendly.

Very nice place..Im an out of towner which ppl knew immediatly cuz of my very pale friend. Relax and chill spot. Good food and service. Dont go here if ure expecting 5 star recipes. Just good ole fanshion food ud want at a bar. Very satisfying. Only thing I regret is that I didnt get the very good lookin blondes name behind the bar :/
