Not a great place for younger kids if you selection the grill. I went with my husband, 7 year old daughter, and 3 year old son. Decor and Food was great, we ordered the meat selection C.. About $60 for 5 different meats to be cooked on the table grill. Ive been to a few of these back in San Francisco and I was impressed with the flavored of each meat. Service started off rough and ended great. Started out with the host or waiter Andrew. By the time we left I wanted to punch him in the (insert any body part here.) Andrew was a douche from the start or maybe he doesnt like kids? He yelled at us several times and attempted to control us. Very strange. I finally said out loud that I felt like I was in school and I keep getting yelled at. After he yelled at us for the last time, My husband told him we would cook our meat ourselves so we wouldnt have to deal with this guy. We felt like we were imposing on Andrew and we didnt even make one request from him. Then we luckily got a new server juong and she could barely speak English but she was sweet to us and our kids. There was another young male server who was helpful as well. I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasnt for our experience with Andrew. I do recommend this place but I would request the young male waiter or juong. Food was great!!

If you are looking to relive a Korean barbecue experience you had in Korea, this may not be the place for you. Three hours of drinks, meat, and parties isnt quite what this place is serving up. But for a nice night out with a group, this offers one of the best Korean restaurant experiences in Kansas, and certainly the finest Korean barbecue. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and had spacious, comfortable seating and an extensive selection of wine and drinks (though the license to serve soju isnt in yet, so dont expect that). The staff service is exceptional, attentive, and charming: drinks never run low, serving suggestions are spot on, and conversation is easy and pleasant. The food is spectacular. For a party of four, the sixty dollar table was almost too much food to finish, but no one could quite stop. Everything from the unmarinated pork belly to the pickled sides was perfect. The crown of the meal was absolutely the galbi, or short ribs. Truly spectacular, and if you eat here, you must try it! We will absolutely come here again and again. A new favourite for the Wichita dining experience.

Food this good makes other food feel bad. The Korean grill experience is fun, and Im glad to see one finally open in Wichita. There are other Korean restaurants already that make excellent entrees, but Gangnam is set apart from the others for two reasons: the Korean grill (where you grill raw meats at your table surrounded by side dishes), and the cheap lunch specials. We got the bulgogi bowl for my brother for $6 take-out after our grill meal, and I think the bulgogi bowl weighed about three pounds. You definitely get your moneys worth. The main entrees can be pricy for lunch, but are perfectly fine for dinner; in any case, they require a lot of prep time and expensive ingredients, so the prices are fair. The grill is fun, and I have had all the meats and can vouch for their tastiness. You usually get helped with the grilling, if youre worried about that. I cant wait to go again!

Oh.... god... why is this happening to me right now? Im sitting in a bathroom right now with what literally sounds like thunder rumbling in my stomach. The volcano that was my butthole erupted with such fiery indignation. Also, the staff is ridiculous, the whole time we were there is felt like we were being rushed to make our decisions, rushed to eat, they gave us tiny plates for a three course meat meal, and when the cooking was done the bill was on the table. You have to sit side by side which was weird. Just the whole experience was negative, the food was good, but its only been a little bit and its on its way out, and burning me at the same time.

We are lucky to live in Oklahoma City, where there are quite a few good Korean restaurants. We were in Wichita for a family event and my wifes cousin treated us to GangNam. The atmosphere was nice, the service was good and the food was excellent!! We ordered a five or six course meal and they messed up and brought a wrong type of meat for one course. When this was pointed out, they quickly brought out the correct meat so we got an extra for free! Great customer service! If you want the Korean BBQ experience, GangNam is highly recommended! If you go in the evening, especially on the weekend, it will probably be very busy.

There is nothing but love for this place. Between the atmosphere, experience, history lesson, and wonderful waiter who cooked, brought us refreshment, indulged us in Korean culture and history, it was truly amazing. Not only was it affordable it left three of us full with plenty of leftovers to spare. The only downside is that they dont have sojou, a Korean liquor similar to sake, as its illegal to be distributed in Wichita however there are a few places less than an hour away to find it.

Terrible services. Maybe it was just the server we had. An older lady who asked if we can cook by ourselves because she had another table very far away from us. So, instead of cooking for us .she decided to cook for the other table. Never refill our side dishes. Restaurant closed at 10pm; however she gave us our tickets around 830pm and come back and asked us to pay before 9pm. Not fully understand what she tried to say (mumbling about papers? Need to be done soon) .

Very good. Service was awesome. The girl gave us recommendations since this was our first time. My husband did not want to sit at the hot table. He said he didnt want to go to a restaurant to cook his own food, even though I thought it would be kind of fun. The white radish salad stuff was my favorite. So many things I wanted to try, but will have to go back and try something different each time. Not sure exactly what we ordered, but it was very good.

love the food the Atmosphere of visiting the place is really good love the fact you can cook your food at table my only complaint is the fact that if you do a order to go they charge outrages prices on there kimchi which is something they give you with your meal anyways when there in house so just do not understand the concept of that but anyways will probably not do anymore to go orders because of that reason

Loved the ambience and the service here. Daniel was fantastic and honestly should give classes on customer service! He earned an extra star to this review. The food quantity was really good but I missed several of the side dishes that I have had at other Korean restaurants (here they only give five of them). The food tasted good but it was not my kind of traditional Korean food that I usually like.

Today was my first visit. I will definitely go back soon and often. The owner is a chef who gave us an overview of the menu and of Korean cuisine in general. We let him suggest a couple of things which my friend and I shared, and it was all wonderful. The short ribs were my favorite, and I dont usually say that. Now I want to try their barbecue as it sounds like a real treat.
