Thought we would try the Beef and Barrel even though it was pricey. We waited to be seated over 10 minutes with NO single staff member ever acknowledging us. A server came up and seated the couple who came in behind us about 5 minutes after we had walked in. After another 5 minutes of waiting....the staff member at the cashier finally looked up and said..."we dont have any tables for two right now....sorry!". The place was half empty! I told her it would have been nice if they could have let us know that 10 minutes earlier. Several servers and wait staff had walked by us while we waited and none of them ever gave us the time of day. We will never step foot in this place again and I will be sure to let everyone I work with know about our experience....or lack of experience! We ended up going to the Vegas Steakhouse in Crossville which was a lot busier. We were seated within about 30 seconds and enjoyed a good steak.

The atmosphere is nice and calm however....if you want a great steak drive down to Cookeville to OCharleys, heck even Ruby Tuesdays has a better steaks... Bland no taste except for burnt charcoal and is not cooked to what you order... Medium rare isnt medium to done. Service from waitress was fine... Wasnt her fault she didnt cook the steak. My advice eat other things from the menu and avoid the steaks!

Owner said he would fix wing problem. Among many others. Guess Overall Quality is Not a Mission. Called to Order Fresh Wings, and told they were Too Busy to do Fresh. They used to be a high Quality Restaurant. Now not so much. Food Professionals know better. Time to get better. Profits V Quality. Sacrificing one for the other is insanity. Please get some help.

Will not return. Overpriced for the portions. Soup had a film over fhe top and was so thick it should have been called paste. Bread was picked up off the floor and returned to the board to be re served. She thought we didnt see and whhen confronted said she just didnt realize what she was doing. Huge health concern

We are from Middle Tennessee and came for a week to visit Lake Tansi and surrounding area. Went to Beef and Barrel for dinner. My prime rib was cooked perfectly, served hot and service was excellent. Other people in my part enjoyed their meal as much as I. Would recommend to everyone. Reasonable prices too.

The parking lot was jammed, but we went in anyway. The whole staff was moving at top speed. We were seated in five minutes. As busy as they were, they were friendly and composed when taking our order. All told, it took less time than other restaurants would be at half-capacity.

Wonderful service, and quick to get food. The ambience was a bit quiet with no background music or anything. And it seemed a bit pricy. The chicken was wonderful, house bread was like a real soft rye, and the baked potato was good but seemed a bit small.

The food was good but when I got my steak it did not come out the way I ordered it cooked. The waitress was very friendly but the hostess was not very personable. Overall the food and drinks came out quickly and it was good. Would eat here again.
