I work in Middletown and my coworkers that grew up on the island say this is the best chinese food around. So far Ive ordered three times and the food has always been both delicious and plentiful. They deliver free with a $10 order so Ill get a $6.50 lunch special and appetizer. I always have some left and Im a big guy. Their food so far has been better then any Chinese food Ive ever bought in my hometown of Johnston so next time my wife and daughter want chinese I plan to order it from Ching Tao and pick it up on my drive home. This is really good food at a really, really good price.

I absolutely love the Ching Tao! All the staff, and especially the owner are very well mannered, intelligent, personable, and always on point. The food is amazing, but its hard to choose because their menu is full with delicious choices. Their fried wontons are my personal favorite. Its a great place for families, but its also a great place for a romantic dinner for two which I like a lot. The prices are great too! If you live or are visiting the island and havent tried the Ching Tao.. get off yours butts and go! I swear you wont regret it!

Poor experience with this place on 4/16/09. Placed an order for delivery, waited 50 minutes, still not here. I called they said the driver could not find my house. Why they did not call when they were here looking for it is unknown. It has now been an hour and the clown car is on its way back out. Chinese girl had a huge attitude when I called in wondering where the food it. This will be my one and only experience with Ching Tao regardless of how good the food is.

I am into my second week working in Newport. I have been eating out everyday and just cant seem to get a break. Everywhere I eat is way over priced, so-so or really bad. This place was near my hotel, I was craving Chinese food, so I gave it a shot. It turns out this is some of the best Chinese food I have had. The moo-shoo pork and hot and spicy soup was excellent. There is only one other Chinese restaurant I have been to that is this good and that is in Santa Barbara.

Best chinese food on the island. Great service. If you want to see old-fashioned customer service, order your food when you get to the restuarant then sit at the bar and watch the woman at the front desk work. She not only knows people by name, but she knows something about them. "When is your daughter back from college", "How is your mother." Its impressive.

I love the Ching Tao, have been eating there for 14 years--they are friendly, a good value and the food is excellent. I have tried other Chinese restaurants in the area but always return to Ching Tao. I think the person below who said the Chicken Fried Rice was awesome probably meant to give it more than one star.

Reviews were good curb appeal and interior finishes were not. We went sat down apprehensively and then we had the best Chinese food ever. The soup was amazing .. egg rolls awesome....crab rangoons the best we ever had.. boneless pork spare ribs...same.. all at a very fair price...

My kids were between 3-10 when we they opened their doors and now there 31-25 and we still frequent Ching Tao. This is the only Chinese restaurant I eat at. There food is always good,hot and made with love. Wanda and her husband treat everyone like family. Everything is yummy

For more than 30 years, weve consistently enjoyed take out with all expectations topped every time. Maybe a little bit too garlic in the Moo Goo something one time, but seriously, their food is great! Trump would love this place!

The food here is great!!! I always come here with my family and we always have a good time! I highly recommend the General Tsos chicken and the drink Mai Tai! The atmosphere is really nice and the people there are friendly.
