Amazing! Staying in bartonsville on vacation and it is so close to our hotel! Maybe a 5 to 10 minute drive! I got the plain Jane and the kraut dog with the tootin taters with wasabi mayo sauce! So amazing! Hubby got the Carolina special and the darn tootin with the tootin taters and cheese sauce! All that and 2 sodas for only $20!!!! And these hot dogs taste amazing all pork hot dogs! So delicious! The Cole slaw on the hubbys Carolina dog tasted so fresh like it was just made as he ordered it! And love the old juke box in the corner! It actually works!!! And the guys that work here are great! So nice and respectful! Service is fast and the cook who I believe is the owner is so friendly he strikes up a conversation with all the customers! Will definitely be back!

My family and I were vacationing in the Pocanos last summer (2015) and had seen this place on the way to our timeshare. We came a few days later for lunch and had the Best hotdogs ever! The owner was there and was very friendly and attentive. He really has a fantastic product and has researched his product well and understands that just a plain old "food service" hotdog and FF are NOT going to keep the doors open, but a Great hotdog produced by local farms without all the "junk" will! The smash-fried taters with special dipping sauces is an original take on the potato side not to be missed. Do yourself a favor and drop in if youre traveling near and if youre local stop by often! This business should be franchised, great concept but the dogs are the stars!

A must stop for hot dog fans. I am a huge dog fan and Rootin tootin has the best red onion sauce Ive had anywhere. Its fantatsic. The dogs are all natural and local. Very tasty and high quality. Dogs are Large in size and and one or 2 is more than enough for a meal. The split top bun is buttered and perfectly toasted on the flat top grill. This dog is a homerun. I have also had the beef brisket chili which is was also good....but the red onion is where its at. My wife is a vegetarian and they have a veggie dog thats the best shes had. We both also reccommend the rootin potatoes. Always a good addition. We highly recommend this place if youre passing through Sroudsbugh PA. Its a great place for a couple dogs and a meal under 20 bucks.

Stop in for lunch, you wont regret it! These guys source their meat locally, and they pull real steak for the chili used on the dogs. These guys provide a thoughtful, well-intended, premium meal, for a price you would pay for fast food. The fried red potatoes are amazing, I love red potatoes. The bread for the bun reminded me of Texas toast, without the garlic, very delicious. The man behind the counter had an excellent attitude, and was very helpful in helping us make up our mind. The only issue, they should provide credit card processing, because the ATM on site charges 2.50 for a withdrawal. I can only hope the owner can build bigger and spread his message more. I love this place!

My husband and I found this place through Trip Advisor. It exceeded our expectations. It has a 1950s vibe to it. It has a working juke box, an old school cash register, a sock hop provided every Saturday night and a several old school magazine covers. The customer service was superb as they were patient and answered any questions we had. We both had the Rootin Tootin dog with Tootin Tots. This restaurant offers homemade dipping sauce to go with the tots. We were thoroughly satisfied with the food. Unfortunately because we were full, we were unable to try another hot dog. My husband and I are definitely looking forward to returning to this restaurant.

Found this place while on the road. I try to eat healthy, but I was hungry so I figured a hot dog it is. I ordered and while I was waiting I read about their product. All natural, hormone free, antibiotic free, nitrate free hot dogs!!! Yay, healthy (er) hot dogs!! My dog was fresh and delicious. Been back since that first time and will be back many times more!

Excellent place to stop! We are vegan and went there on a whim because we read they had vegetarian hot dogs. The owner was extremely friendly and understood when we told him we were vegan and steered us to the menu items we could eat. The veggie dog was excellent along with the tootin taters. I would definitely recommend if you are in the Stroudsburg area.

This place has VERY good all natural locally sourced hotdogs from Stryker farms. Nothing is oil ridden or likely to upset your stomach, the flavors are crisp and fun, and everything is very well executed. The owner is very nice and it has a great Poconos of your childhood/summer vibe. My son loves the hotdogs.

Delicious hot dogs (had the prohibition dog!) on buttered rolls that are tasty and slightly crispy on the outside. Very friendly and good service. Also, a cool old fashioned feel with a cash register from the 50s - really neat - come check it out!

Stumbled across this place while traveling and loved it! You can tell they place close attention to detail: well toasted hot dog bun, nice grilled dog, and excellent toppings. My wife loves their vegetarian hot dog, too.

Nothing short of AMAZING, the Buns, The dogs, all local, ALL Fresh! The pulled chili is to die for. Old beverages, sock hops in the summer, the potatoes are yummy as well. The Owner Brian is such a nice guy.

Great roadside stop. Good for a gut bomb! Get the taters and ask for extra homemade cheese sauce. Prohibition Dog was amazing. Local meat for the dogs they use. I like keeping it local. Cheers

Small menu, but great locally sourced food. The smashed potatoes are great with either the Wasabi or the jalapeño dipping sauces. The vintage jukebox that plays for a quarter is a nice touch.

Decent hot dog stand. I find it a bit odd that people are saying it is the best hot dog they have ever had. Maybe Im not a hot dog connoisseur like the other posters, ha!
