Went for the first time on a Sunday with my wife. Reviews were good so we gave it a try. There were 5-6 teenaged girls standing around not taking our order. We did not see a supervisor or manager the whole time. They finally took our order but took very long to bring it out. Order a cheeseburger, hotdog and chicken tenders. The food was mediocre at best, cheeseburger was like one youd get in school. The chicken tenders were over fried and the hotdog was boiled. The thing that sealed the deal on us not going back was the fact that the girls were standing around talking about birth control and "getting pregnant tonight". Not what you want to hear from teenagers while your eating. They then made a comment about how "dirty and disgusting" the fryers are. Needless to say my wife and I immediately stopped eating and left. We will not be returning. Hopefully they get some better staff, maybe that will help.

Whoever was the older lady behind the counter tonight was miserable. "How are you doing tonight?" "Fine" was her response. "Smile a little" "Maybe later" was her response to that. I dont know what is going on in her life, but i work in customer service/retail too. Fake it. As for the place itself, wasnt bad, wasnt great. Prices looked decent for the food, but i just had ice cream. Hopefully you dont get jipped on everything with bad quality or quantity. Im sure back in the day, it was hoppin, but it could certainly use a revival.

The California burger was bland, over priced and one of the worst burgers I have ever had. This establishment is a disgrace to hamburgers. The only thing more pathetic than the burgers was the staff. A lack of caring or enthusiasm stunk up the joint and was a stench I do not wish to ever encounter again.

We Love the Hilltop! The chicken is delicious and they have the Best Ice Cream "Nelsons " I have been going here since I was a child when my mother use to bring us, now I bring my children and my mother! Britney and Beth are Outstanding servers, we Love all of them great family friendly establishment!

A fun little throw-back style diner with good chicken, old-style burgers, and Nelsons ice cream, with generally friendly staff and clean eating area. Would have been a 5-star review if the shakes werent so disappointing. I thought they would have been made with ice cream but apparently not.

20 years ago my best friend lived in Pottstown and it was a tradition to get a double cheeseburger and onion rings with a chocolate shake. Its a bit of nostalgia going back now. The only thing that has changed is the jukebox is new and has every song you think of on it now.

The food is good and prices are nice, the service is usually young girls who are not always great at customer service but not rude either. Its a nice little place to sit and eat inside or outside, and also great for stopping by and picking a bit up on your way home...

The chicken is to die for! We also got burgers, fries and a shake. Everything was very good. It has a 50s feel and the prices were very good also. Highly recommended! We live over 2 hours away and I am dying to find a reason to come back here. It was excellent!

I used to come to this place from the time I was a teen, now at 50 and moved back to the area .... this place is great! Awesome sandwiches, burgers, fries, steaks, and chicken. I seldom eat that kind of food anymore, but when I do, its Hilltop!

I didnt really get to try much of their food, but I ordered a small Italian and a large fry. My fries were made fresh and my hoagie had well worth my money of cold cuts abd cheese. I would love to go back and try some more. I would go back.

Perhaps the commentors that rated 1 star should have read the other comments about the best chicken. If you go to a place that specializes in chicken and order a hamburger, I do not know how you can seriously sit there and rate 1 star.

Best fried chicken and coleslaw! Only thing we ever order there. Never ate in, old style atmosphere, good grab and go place. Cant honestly rate anything else. Price is reasonable for todays prices. We will continue to eat here!

Chicken salad tasted like straight relish. $10 for a terrible chicken salad sandwich and a watered down lemonade. Got a milk shake last visit which was also terrible
