My family visited this location for breakfast after reading Google reviews. We will never visit again. The abhorrent hospitality skills displayed by the manager during our visit was completely unacceptable. We waited and waited to be seated only to have newer patrons be seated before us. We were forgotten about even though our name was clearly on the list. A minor frustration, not a big deal at the time. Food was mediocre, the crepes were rubbery and my eggs were uncooked. The best part of my meal was the fruit bowl (which has fresh fruit - and lots of it). The reason this review is a 1 star is because we wanted to tell the manager about how poor the service was and that the food needed improvement. What happened instead is that we were berated by the manager who was nothing but argumentative. We didnt get a single "Im sorry we forgot to seat you" or "Im sorry the food wasnt to your liking." Instead, we were told "...well whats an extra few minutes - its no big deal" and that "we shouldnt have eaten the food if we didnt like it." The food wasnt inedible, we just wanted to tell the manager that the food was not as good as it should have been. The manager was unprofessional and an embarrassment to this location. I felt sorry for the customers watching our altercation, but I refused to be yelled at for her poor service.

The pancakes were amazing my tea was cold. But my server cane 2 time in 2 hours, the home fries were a pile of mushy tasteless potatoes. The staff decided to take break right next to my table and it was hard to eat and chat while the entire staff talked. Furthermore upon leaving the manager I guess was at the register ask how good it was, I responded the fries were soggy and tasteless and our server was not good. A 36 dollar meal and she simply said thanks for the feedback. I will not ever return and I will let my followers know not to ever visit absolute horrible service. But the pancake was good

My experience today, July 3, 2014 was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at an eating establishment! Upon my departure, I made mention to the cashier how the negative signage they had posted was offensive. Why on earth are they video taping their customers? The cashier, however was the OWNER, who rudely told me that I didnt have to eat there. When I replied that his comment was not a nice way to treat a paying customer, he told me NOT TO COME BACK. What an owner he must be to work for! Word of mouth is a powerful way to advertise.....Negative advertising is even more powerful.

Ive been to this place maybe once or twice, and I really loved it! The food was amazing, the service was great. Today I was really in the mood for pancakes so I went with my mom. When we got there, multiple people were already waiting. There were open tables everywhere so I have no idea why people were waiting. We waited for 20 minutes before we got enough common sense to realize that we werent going to get seated anytime soon. Until this place gets better service, I have to give it 1 star.

The Erickson Family has been patronizing the McIntyre Square location since it opened. Chuck and Nellie run a first class operation and work particularly hard to provide the best customer experience possible. Over the years they and some of their longer term staff have become good friends and we delight in visiting with them, while we enjoy a scrumptious breakfast. Both the quality and variety of the menu items makes this location of the Original Pancake House tops in our book.

Even though there may be a few negative comments, the five years being a consumer there, it has been fabulous from the greeters to the cashier. Food is superb, coffee always flowing and the preparation of food top notch. We know the staff and one remarked that where have you been? That means to me, a dedication of service and care. You wont be disappointed , unless you are looking for trouble or nit- pick. Its the best all around in the area and I will return as mush as I can.

Excellent Service, food great, waitress very nice, kind, and patient. Food served at the appropiate time. Atmosphere very quiet and serene. Management staff, Chuck and Nellie, very accommodating. I recommend this breakfast and lunch restaurant to family, friends, and anyone who would like a good place.to go and have a great meal. Fred and Cathy Harbaugh

The establishment is well kept but thats about it for the positive. Food took super long and the server tried to rush us through. There was no presentation to the dishes we ordered and everything was cold when it was brought to the table... even the hot tea.... plain Jane with bad service.

The absolute best bacon on the face of the planet! Thick, juicy, yet not fatty, delicious swine belly. Prompt, courteous, friendly service. Everything on the menu is delicious. Try a Dutch Baby if youve never had one. Fall in love with your pancakes!

Our server, Annesha, was very polite, attentive and willing to answer questions since it was our first time here. Coffee cup never got below half full. Will definitely come again next time we are in Pittsburgh PA.

My favorite restaurant ever! Everything is very fresh and cooked to order. My favorite is the chocolate chip pancakes, but the crepes, omelletes, meats, everything is delicious. Can get pretty busy though.

One of my favorite breakfast places in Pittsburgh. I actually prefer their chocolate chip pancakes over Panelas. Original Pancake House has thicker pancakes that are loaded with chocolate chips.

It was my birthday been awhile since I at there. I really love the portion of eggs and the thickness of bacon. I love the banana pancake. My friend felt the same. Great service too.

Food is excellent and you get alot for your money. I would like to consider myself a hearty eater and i cant finish most entrees. Two can pretty much share one meal and leave full.

Amazing. I always come here with my great aunt and she loves it. Today was quick and easy, getting our food in about 8 minutes. Record timing! Around 10 is the time to come.

Best breakfast you can get (I love the Irish Eggs Benedict, which is made with Pastrami rather than ham), though you have to pay for it (about $10 a person).

Super, super food, and super expensive for breakfast fare. You simply cant beat their monstrous apple pancake or one of their omelettes.

Good quality and a really large selection. The Dutch Baby is worth the wait if you want to try something a bit different for breakfast.
