For years this was a classy and super place to eat, especially for a great Sunday Brunch. But no more, they just dont care anymore. Today was totally a horrible and embarrassing experience at the Plumsteadville INN. A very very bad Sunday Bunch! I took a friend for what I had hoped would be a special birthday treat for her but I would have been better going to MacDonalds or a cheap diner!!! First of all, I had to find someone to seat us, no one greeted us and I had to get the bartender to get someone to seat us. I even called ahead for reservations. The buffet table was almost empty with numerous people complaining there was nothing to eat and this was at noon, an hour before the buffet was to close. It took way too long for the waitress (only two on duty for the whole place) to offer us coffee and drinks. Then she forgot the drinks until I waved to remind her. I had to ask someone for just about every coffee refill. The hot food pans were totally empty for a long time and I had to complain for someone to put some food out. People kept going to the table and grimacing that the pans were still empty. Again, an hour before the buffet was supposedly closed. The food was way below par both quality wise and variety wise. I have seen better quality and variety in free or cheap buffets at motels, many a time. For $19.95 this was a total rip off. Embarrassing to me and I am appalled by the attitude there. Even one of the employees said that they wouldnt eat there that "the owner doesnt seem to care anymore" !!!! No one there really cares, it is obvious. The attitude of the few that were working was loud and clear, they just dont care about the clients. I use to frequent this hotel for years and always praised the service and good quality of food but it sure has changed. I can remember when by noon there were no empty seats for the brunch. I know the economy has slowed down businesses but I would bet the ranch, the lack of quality and service is why it was more than half empty today. I heard more than one person say they would not come back. I for one wont be going back anymore! No more brunches nor any meals for me at Plumsteadville INN. I only get suckered once.

Went back tonight to try again. We went opening weekend and the nite was so messed up that the manager came over to apologize and comped us the meal. Since that was back in January, we thought wed give it another chance. We ordered drinks, which were great and reasonably priced. My husband ordered a filet mignon done medium and a Caesar salad. I ordered a shrimp and pasta dish with a side salad. The restaurant started to get busy, and the waitress got several tables at once. My husband finished his drink, and I sipped mine. No bread, no salad, no second drink due to no waitress. The next thing we know, our meal arrived. I asked the server if we could have our salad with the meal, and someone brought over bread and salad. The waitress came a bit later, and my husband finally ordered a second drink. As he ate his steak, he found the middle was uncooked, not rare, uncooked! When the waitress returned with his drink, he asked her to take the steak back, and I asked for a plate to share my meal. The waitress questioned him, saying he ordered it medium rare, and finally took it away. After that, she was even more difficult to find! When she did come back, she said she had the manager take his meal off the bill. She really wasnt nice about it, as though we were just complainers. Oh well, there are so many places nearby, I suggest trying somewhere else. For what its worth, my meal was good, but the service and the raw steak still ruined the night.

We just had a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner here! My husband and I were at the restaurant this past Saturday evening and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, as well as the thoughtful “extras” that made it special - - the complimentary champagne was such a nice touch, and the chocolate-covered strawberries were the perfect finish to a delicious dinner. The hostess and servers were friendly and courteous, they made us feel welcome and they saw to it that all their customers were satisfied. One of the nice features of this restaurant is that it is divided into separate dining rooms which range from casual to formal, so you can sit in the bar area for a quick bite while watching sports on tv, in a booth with your kids, or in the beautiful old main dining room (original building) or bright garden terrace for a fancy dinner. Also, the Sunday brunch is not to be missed! Prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. For the past couple of years now, we’ve celebrated birthdays and anniversaries at the Plumsteadville Inn, and we are always impressed with the quality of the food and the gracious service. This restaurant is our “go-to” place for important occasions. Always a great experience.

I was there on Monday October 22, 2012. I met all 4 of my girlfriends there for a girls dinner out. We were sat in the dining area of the bar. The room was very nice. Our waitress was very attentive and very nice. We ordered our food and it came out in a timely fashion. The food was just fair. Every person there did not think their food was that great. I had the Ahi tuna appetizer that was supposed to be a sandwich. I asked for it on a bed of greens. It came out with two sprigs of green on it. My first friend had the buffalo chicken wrap. She asked for it grilled, she could not eat the other sandwich it was so soggy. My other friend got the chicken pot pie again could not finish it because it was lacking taste. The calamari my other friend received had no taste. Finally the last entree chicken alfredo, the pasta was good, but the chicken was so dry. I think they need Gordon Ramsey to make their food better. My tuna had no taste at all. It seemed like it had been frozen too not fresh. Plumsteadville Inn needs a better chef!

Went to the newly renovated Plumsteadville Inn tonight. The food was delicious....Had the steak and cake combo. The filet was very tender, cut it with a butter knife. The place looks beautiful, it was worth the wait. So glad there is a place close by to go to now. Such a variety on the menu and my kids were happy too, what a concept. There are TVs in the booths, so we were able to enjoy our meal. There are also large TVs on the wall, without sound so they arent disruptive. Love the place, nice and cozy, and the food is great. Cant wait to go back and try different things on the menu. Had a few different things at our table to try, and they were all good...The chicken pot pie was so good, with a sweet potato crust, really neat way to do it. Great job to the new owner and I wish you the best of luck....Your got a customer in me...the staff was friendly....great job, especially considering it was the first night....Cant wait until the patio is up and running in the spring.......
