this is NOT a review about the food. this is a review about the facility as a MUSIC VENUE for CONCERTS. we went to see john eddie, who put on a great show as usual. however, the venue was TERRIBLE. if my favorite band in the world were playing here on their last tour before they disbanded and retired, and it was my last chance to ever see them play live again, id have to think long and hard about whether to go or not. my biggest issue was that there was basically NO floor for standing to watch the music as it was almost completely filled with tables. there was only about 6-10 feet in front of the stage for people to stand/dance. i understand this is a restaurant, but when it is pretending to be a concert hall, there should be more room for people to stand. maybe this is a way of encouraging people to get there early and sit and order/eat food, but if one doesnt want to eat at 9pm or wait 3 hours for the band to hit the stage, this is a lame hand to force. i saw bands play at the hard rock in pittsburgh and felt it was MUCH better for shows. there were tables set up but only on the sides, so the floor in front of the stage was wide open. the sound was even significantly better (i thought the sound was poorly mixed, but it may have just been the room having poor acoustics/ design for live music). granted, the one in pittsburgh appears to be significantly larger, but it just shows that this place cant do both. maybe they would be ok for a mellow music act where people are content to sit and watch, but for a rock show where people are going to want to get up, this place is terrible. or, they should move the tables once the meals are done to open the floor up a bit. overall, i guess i felt they were a jack of all trades and a master of nothing. except maybe overpriced, mediocre bar food and drinks.

Although I realize Hard Rock is Supposed to be loud, I have been to Hard Rocks all over the world and this one was obnoxiously so for no real reason- no live bands like some have, etc. The most disappointing part was the lack of education and awareness surrounding food allergies. Albeit the menu had little icons for food allergens (items with nuts) there was only one item that we saw that had the icon and none that were on the children's menu. My 10 yr. Son has a life- threatening peanut and tree nut allergy and we are very used to dealing with eating out and limited options. But this was quite possibly one of the most ridiculously limited situations and the most scary situations due to the fact that the menu may have led more trusting folks to have ordered the food without asking. It turns out the hamburger/hotdog buns weren't safe, the mac and cheese wasn't safe, the fries weren't safe, the shakes weren't safe. The waiter came over and took my son's shake away and dint return for 20 mins to take another preset for him or offer him another drink. No manager or chef ever came to talk to us, and we sat there wanting another cocktail for 20 mins as well... With the music blarring. The meal was served with fries and then, the waiter remembered the fries weren't ok and took my sosn's plate away and returned about 5 mins later with only the chicken wings- his second choice since he couldn't have the cheeseburger, and offered no other choices of sides and no discount and no apologies. My mild manner son said, " I don't ever want to come back here because this place isn't very allergy friendly."

Classic Nachos are supposed to be tortilla chips piled high and layered with a three bean mix, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses, pico de gallo, jalapenos, green onions, and garnished with sour cream. When the plate came to the table, the nachos were flat and looked as if the chips were left under a salamander too long. Some of the cheese and tortilla chips were burnt. If we werent so hungry, we would have sent it back. The parts that were not burnt were okay enough to snack on until our dinner arrived. Rating: 1/5 Fiesta Burger is on a toasted brioche bun layered with roasted jalapeno salsa, melted Jack cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, and tomato. My burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare and juicy. The jack cheese was okay. I think using a queso fresco or cojita cheese would bring the flavors in the burger together with a bit more saltiness. The roasted jalapeno salsa was okay. It needs more kick and salt to boost the flavor. Also, the guacamole was not freshly made as it was brownish-green which means it was holding too long in the back. I was also disappointed in the amount of French fries that were served - about 15 total fries on the plate. Rating: 3/5 Hickory-Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich is hand-pulled smoked pork with hickory barbeque sauce on toasted brioche. The pork was very dry. The barbeque sauce helped, but the meat should really hold in the pork juices before plating. Although the French fry portion was small, this sandwich did come with barbeque beans and cole slaw. Rating: 3/5

Horrible service and food! Just left the establishment. I ordered an arugula salad with salmon cooked medium. I specifically informed the server that I didnt want dry salmon, moist! Well the fish came out overdone and charred. As soon as I tasted it my tongue burned of a bitter burnt taste. I sent it back immediately. Meanwhile, there were four others in my party. Three orders came out at the same time my initial order did. The other order which was cheese pizza for a six year old didnt come out for another twenty minutes. I didnt want to take a chance on the salmon again so I ordered a cheese burger. Cant go wrong with a cheeseburger right? Ordered well done. The server was very apologetic and wanted me to check out the burger to see if it was to my liking. I told him to box it up to go. No worries. Finally got back to the hotel and opened the box to another charred food item. It was awful! I would not recommend the food. Now if you want a decent alcoholic beverage theyre good one star. But the chef should be fired. Hands down. And some of the wait staff, too!
