Absolutely horrible and a complete waste of money. I got an order of mozzarella sticks and a breakfast sandwich (egg and cheese with onion on a long roll). The mozzarella sticks were so poorly made that the cheese was not melted, and once I bit into the stick I started gagging. My friend apparently didnt listen to my warning and ate 2 sticks anyway, and guess what? She got a stomach-ache. Now, the breakfast sandwich, I paid nearly $6 for it, and it wasnt even worth half of that! They skimped on the eggs, so basically there was only enough to cover the middle of the roll. Plus, I dont know what they did, but the roll was a bit soggy too. I most likely will never order from them again, unless Im starving and theyre the only ones open.

The food here used to be good, some of the best for a pizza place in the city. But the food quality has steadily declined. Last night, my friends and I ordered some sandwiches and a salad. One friend was happy with her cheesesteak. The other ordered an Italian hoagie and said it was awful; the only thing Italian on there was was the provolone cheeese; the rest of it had cooked salami and boiled ham, and big chunks of lettuce instead of shredded. I ordred a garden salad and it was all lettuce, what looked like an entire inconsistently chopped red onion and three baby carrots; there were no tomatoes or cucumbers or peppers. With so many other places to eat in University City, I doubt we will ever go back to Allegros.

The food is decent and on par with every other college place, but the service sucks. They rush you off of the phone and then deliver the wrong item. They have messed up on my order at least 4 times. Even when they mess up they take their time correcting the mistake! They charged me for a 2-liter of diet coke, but this was not present at the time of delivery. The driver assured me that he would come back with the soda, but he came back two hours later! At that point the pizza was eaten and the kids were a sleep.

There is a reason Allegro is described on Google Maps as a "college oriented pizza joint"; only a drunken college student could tolerate the greasy, indigestible pizza served by this pit. West Philadelphia is legendary for having no good pizza joints, so much that there have been articles written about it, and Allegro is no exception. If its the wee hours of the morning and you are a 20 year old desperate for a slice before bed, this will suffice.

One some visits, I adore Allegro, and on others, I dont. Depending on how your order (online, in store, through postmates, etc), you might get a completely different meal despite ordering the same things, and Ive had trouble with getting any meet grilled well-done. Instead, the cooks here seem to prefer leaving pink in the middle, which I dont appreciate. It speaks volumes for their willingness to address the customers wants.

Monday at 10pm ordered delivery from Allegro. The dude delivered the wrong pizza. I called him back, he said theyd return in ten minutes with a new pie. They put it off until closing and never returned my calls. Its now midnight and Im stuck with the wrong pie, not the worst case scenario, but certainly not worth my $20!!!!

GIANT PIZZA! This place does a giant pizza. It isnt a gimmick and tastes great (not too dry, not too doughy). Sometimes when I come in the staff are kind of beefing with each other but they are polite to me as a customer (it adds to the philly vibe).

I ordered off of grub hub and waited almost 2 hours for cold pizza. Was told Id get my money back and they only gave me $7 back when the owner had said Id be fully refunded. Never going to order from here again and I dont recommend you do either.

Pizza was good and came up quick. Good prices as well. Good beer selection. Place seemed clean. With that being said, the staff definitely was not the friendliest. Most of them seemed rather annoyed to have steady business at 1130pm on a Friday.

Ordered from here a lot. Really liked the fact that theyre 24 hours. Lately the food hasnt been so good. They never put ketchup on the food, always send packets, food is starting to be dry and sloppily put together. Went from 5 stars to about 2.

Excellent food... I would say this is probably the best pizza place in the area. Every time I ordered pizza it was delivered fast, and you can actually taste the freshness of the sauce. The pastas pretty good too. Highly recommended!!!

Decent pizza for a decent price, but the beer is super expensive. Fresh grocer has cheaper and more variety a block away. If youre deciding, Id go to pasquallys down the road, but allegro is certainly good for a late night snack

Really good pizza but its pricey compared to other local shops. Ive been going here for 20 years and the food has always been good but its not the same. Portions are filling and they have a great beer selection.

I had them cater a birthday celebration for my 11 yr old the manager was professional, helpful, patient, very accomadating and the kids enjoyed the food it was a great value.I would recommend this restaurant.

The food is ok--but the delivery really needs to work on manners. They need to deliver to the door, not huddle in a car and run up when they feel like it. Rly bad service. Point to delivery fee of dollars.

Very tasty, but very pricey. The quality of food varies over time. Expect very long waits, especially for dinner. Customer service tends to be poor. But if you love greasy food, look no further.

Great pizza and beer! The pizza toppings are sort of unorthodox, but they give you fairly big slices and have a variety of freshly cooked pizzas. The beer is also relatively cheap!
