Let me just say this. I ABSOLUTELY love rios. My family and I have been eating here together plenty of times. The food is amazing. However I was alittle disappointed a few weeks back. I was running late on my reservation witch was about five minutes and they accommodated me and my girls well. However once we got to ge table it was HORRIBLE. I totally understand a gem like this becomes busy. Infact every time we went it was packed. But this visit had me disappointed. We had no waiter for about 20 minutes. We had been told by 3 people that some one would be with us. After no one arrived I believe the managerof the bar (blond hair young woman) apologized and handed us our drinks (she was very kind) We patiently waited another 20 mintues before we actually got meat. As we ate, the meat was consistent and very good. We never got our fried bananas till after dinner because there was no server to attend to us and btw our drinks had been long gone by then. So no refills, no bananas, no service other then the meat. There was a hefty guy going around checking on tables and I was told he was suppose to be our server but he said hi once and left. After we told him about the bananas he apologized and 15 min later some one else brought them out. I did see some new faces and I must say I miss your guys old servers. Especially this one guy imperticular. He was a young Brazilian boy I believe with sometimes short cut hair and had a heavy accent. Each time he served my family and I his service was compliantly immaculate. Wonderful young man. Bring him back. Lol. Now I was asked how our visit was and not to be unkind and embarrass the young fellow I shook my head and said it was good. I payed for our meal and left not much of an appetizing tip ($5) witch I felt bad for but I was just so upset and not really satisfied . Never have I ever tipped these wonderful people that low. In fact I love the guys there so much that Im more then happy to leave a $20.00 for just serving my partner and I. But this time really disappointed me. I would say assign servers that will pay attention to all customers. Its nice to connect with regulars just make sure to attend to all tables. Still will give rios another shot because the food is so good but better servers would be ideal.

We ate there last night for my wifes 40th birthday. I can only give this a 5-star rating! My wife and I have both been to Brazil ourselves in the past, but one of the things I find about food *in* Brazil is that it seems to be heavily over-spiced. The food here at Rios is great. If the Brazilian way to cook it is with too many spices, I think they have perfected the art form so that it appeals to American tastes while still retaining much of the Brazilian atmosphere and experience. The meat is not overspiced at all, it is very nicely done and I think would appeal to a wide range of people. If you like meat the way I like meat, and you have never been to a churrascaria, you need to go to Rios and find out what its like! Lamb, beef in various forms, chicken, pork, turkey, you name it. It was all off-the-charts GREAT! On the staff: The waitress was excellent as were the men who came out with the skewers of meat. Of course they were courteous, competent and delightful, but what I found most interesting is that the waitress said she had been there many years and really enjoyed working there. Which speaks volumes to the kind of people who own the place. Restaurant workers do not typically work more than a short time in any one location, usually due to an overly-demanding, high-stress environment created by both customers and typical owners, but the fact that staff were there for so long, enjoyed it so much, and had such good things to say about the owners REALLY means something. On the pricing: I was expecting it to be 50% more expensive than it was, so I was really pleased when I got the bill. So I would have to say this is my new "favorite place to eat". 5-stars. Too bad there isnt a rating of 10 stars or I would have used that.

I went last night for my 32nd birthday dinner! IT WAS INCREDIBLE! There were 14 meats available that night and it was only $21.95! (tax and tip not included, of course) I have been to Fugo de Chao in Philly, and I think the meats are comparable and just as great as Fugo de Chao! Now, the only difference, which is the salad bar/buffet. Fugo de Chaos was definitely classier, you had your whole wheel of fresh Parmesean cheese, crazy salad bar, etc. Rios had a simpler buffet, with great stuff, though! The rabbit stew (never had it before) was GREAT! There was beef stroganoff, lasagna, salads, rice, soup, yeah! I did not try that much of the buffet because I wanted more meat, and I was very happy with my decision! I wanted to try more, like the soup and the salads, but hey, you only so much room in your tummy! So, to compare the two restaurants, Fugo was definitely fancier in the buffet, but in my opinion, you dont go to a Brazilian bbq for the buffet, you go for the meats! I can get Parmesean cheese whenever I step into Wegmans, but I cant get all Rioss quality cuts of skirt steak, saugsage, chicken, pork, ... My favorites were the Turkey wrapped in Bacon and the Pork shoulder. SOOO good and flavorful and tender! ALSO, this is VERY important to me. My two sons have food allergies and when I asked the host (owner/manager) which food had egg/milk in it, she KNEW EVERY DISH! A lot of places we end up skipping because the owners are so clueless. My sons could have eaten every meat and most of the buffet, too! The staff was very friendly, came at good intervals, and I was never hungry. DEFINITELY try this restaurant! You wont regret it! Ill definitely be going back!... once I stop being full... ;)

I have to say that it has taken me this long to write a review because the service was extremely poor the second time we went. I will NEVER forget that. When you are offered the chance to sample 15 different things, you expect that for the most part. It was valentines day and I was pregnant. Not only did we only get to try THREE, when I asked if we could try the other 12 the server never returned. I then went and spoke to the manager and he proceed to YELL at me saying I was wrong and the server brought out all 15 to us. $35 a person was not worth the $10 in food we got. After showing him the 3 we had gotten he then went over to the trash threw out what was left and told me I had no proof. Way to make someone on a valentines day dinner with their spouse feel like crap. Didnt help I was pregnant and starving and ate barely anything since what they do give you of each is so incredibly small. I would rate this as negative stars but it doesnt give me that option. Dont waste the money to go here. Although our first time there was excellent the second time overshadows it completely. I should also mention that at this second time they were not even busy. We and 3 other couples were in the building as we all had early reservations. If it were busy I would understand mix ups but glad the other couples agreed. NEVER returning and since then I am happy to say many people I have spoken to have cancelled their first time reservations.
