I will not be eating there again. My family ate several times at Cicis in York, PA and had good experiences, until they closed. This one not so much. First lets start with the current running add for a buffet at 5 dollars and change. A lot of change, $6.49 per person. Thats quite a bit more than $5, but willing to blame that on independently owned and national advertising and let it slide. Just for the record two adults with drinks, $17.98. After paying we had to ask for the drink cups we just paid for. I expect at least a basic level of competence from my servers but she was young and probably her first job. We grab our napkins out of the dispenser and headed towards the food. Salad bar looks o.k., but not what I came to eat. Pasta/soup totally unimpressive, one chicken somethingorother soup. One noodle, red sauce, and white sauce. Again not what Im here for. Now to the pizza. First time through the selection was disappointing at best. Did you know they have 3 stuffed crusts now! oh wait, thats one at a time...maybe. The selection was limited compared to previous experience, (at other locations), but I did manage to fill my plate. Filled our drinks and went looking for a seat. I would call it steady not busy, seating at about half capacity with a steady in and out flow. Not a single table was clean. At that time I saw not one employee cleaning the dining area. Finding what we thought of as a not too dirty table we began to eat or meal. More pizza selections were put on the buffet and everything seemed to be well. During our entire visit I witnessed 2 different employees come out to wipe tables. The 1st did 2, the 2nd did 3. Did not make much of a dent in the number of dirty tables. Employees were taking their brakes in the dining area. Yes in the dining area while in uniform and on duty. Not the way its done but maybe Im just old school. Ever spill a drink and need to clean it up yourself while out to eat? I did just that today. Luckily I spotted dish rag under the soda machine...oh and those two employees that just walked by...totally ignored it and gave me the not my job Im on brake look but I held my tongue. In summary, dirty tables, overcharged (vs. tv add), unmotivated employees, and mediocre pizza. Im disappointed with the whole experience and will not be going back.

Previous review by "Rodney" was way off base. The restaurant was completly clean. There is a difference between health dept. type "filthy" and just not cleaned up after customers finish. Which is what I suspect the previous reviewer might have encountered if he in fact encountered an issue at all. I found no evidence of either type of unclean environment let alone health code violation type issues. The pizza is not top quality but if you expect that kind of quality out of a value chain you need to rethink your dining choices. But the pizza is far from frozen microwave pizza. I highly suspect the motive behind the previous reviewers comments. You get what you pay for. At this restaurant you get a little more than that. Having a review be so far from what my own experience was after reading it makes me suspicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. The pizza variety at the buffet was more than sufficient. The quality was more than I expected for the money paid. Reviews really should be factual and accurate and in tune with the level of the business being reviewed. Maybe Rodney spends a little too much time at the Four Seasons in Hawaii and needs to temper his reviews to be in line with comparing apples to apples not apples to rum filled coconuts.

Pizza was good for being fast food. Staff was personable, everyone was smiling and willing to take the time to adress any requests even though they were running around like crazy. I went on Thursday night the place was packed but they kept up with the volume very well which impressed me. The manager was friendly and brought us pizza when I asked for a specific kind to make sure we got some. Tables were kept clean despite the volume. The only suggestion I have is to make the hole for trash a little wider as its a little hard to get the trash in without making a mess on top of the trash can. Over all I give 5 stars because we had a great family time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Food met the expectations, staff exceeded them. The environment was fast paced and perfect for my fun loving group. I recommend it to young families, friends who want to hang out, and people looking for a good deal.

For the most part, the restaurant was clean. We arrived close to closing and tables available for customer seating were not "bused" in a timely manner and ready to use. (Minor problem for us.) The buffet line selection was kept full and the selections in salads, pasta, pizza pies and variations...including desserts were all stocked with fresh, pleasing to the eyes, items. Hot items were warm to almost hot... Cold items were kept properly chilled. No complaints there. I asked for help with an item because I could not cut it down to a smaller size myself. The male employee who helped me, did so willingly without any verbal or nonverbal negative complaints. I thanked him for his assistance. I spoke with two young female employees because I needed eating utensils and could not see them myself. Again, they were more than helpful and smiled as they spoke with me.

We visited for the first time....and without a doubt the ONLY time. Hard to believe this restaurant is allowed to stay open. Obviously the food inspectors have not visited recently. I have eaten food in cleaner restrooms. Food everywhere on the floor and tables. The trash can may be cleaner. Not to mention the food.....frozen pizza from a box has more taste. The photo of the salad bar shows dark greens, tomatoes, and croutons....none of which appeared on this pathetic lettuce, onion, and dressing bar. If Cicis read this post and offered me free food for a year, my family and I would turn it down. My 5 year old and 11 year old were even disgusted. My 11 year old who would eat pizza breakfast, lunch and dinner described the pizza as "gross". So sorry we wasted our time....hopefully this post will save others from the same.

One used to be able to pay for the buffet and have a "custom made pizza" to order. This same option is the same throughout the Cicis chain, NOT AT THIS PLACE! When I paid for the buffet for my family and then placed my order for our favorite style of pizza i was shocked to hear that "we dont do that anymore." The Manager (some Indian dude) said.. "This is all you get." Mind you that not only did we drive from Carlisle (1 hour) but the pizza at the buffet isnt what we wanted and is crap! BBQ pizza? Chicken Wing flavored pizza? Cheeseburger pizza? Really? Come on guys!!! I demanded a refund and DEFINITELY wont be back! ALL of the other Cicis will cator to their customers, not this place, WE WONT BE GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE!! Wish i could give a zero rating!
