Its a Tuesday night, the SO just got home from the office. I had been home for an hour and a half, lying motionless on the couch trying to muster the strength to go pop the required 800mg of ibuprofen. both of us are exhausted and in dire need of calorie rich food, and fast. She made her intentions clear enough, a batted eyelash and a few terms of endearment later it was settled that we would be eating out that night, at least for dinner anyway. She brought up the idea of jumbo buffet. We had talked about coming here before but tonight was the night we would seal the deal. We were hesitant to say the least based on the volume of critical reviews in which customers berate the establishment and staff. 10.95 for weeknight buffet, 11.95 for weekends. Slightly high prices for Chinese buffet but not compared to a place like old country buffet. You get what you pay for! Definitely the best buffet of any kind in the area. The selection is the bees kness and the staff know whats up. There were like 6 different kinds of shrimp and delicious clams, which you would not expect. All the standard Chinese take out fare was there was well. Theres a mini sushi and Mongolian BBQ area but I did not partake in that venture. Its worth going here.

I frequented this restaurant often when it was the Jumbo Buffet. The food was usually good, the quality was consistent, and I looked forward to eating there every week or two. Ive been there 3 times since it changed to Royal Buffet and have been disappointed every time. The food is dried out, as if it has been sitting out too long after cooking. Two of my favorites, coconut shrimp and baked cheese seafood, are particularly dry and unappetizing. Everything is very hot (almost too hot), likely from baking under the new heat lamps. I always liked the baked broccoli and cheese dish and they no longer have it. The sushi is greatly improved, but it doesnt make up for the deterioration in the quality of the hot food. And the price rose by about $2-$3. Even with the grand opening discount, it costs more than it used to. The service is rather slow too. Toward the end of their life as Jumbo, it had gotten slow and I noticed that the wait staff stood around a lot instead of paying attention to their tables. Things have not improved with the new place. They seem to be very understaffed and service is still slow. I am sorry to have lost one of my favorite places to eat, but I will not be back unless things improve.

This was our first visit. We enjoyed our meal- they have a variety of options (everything from Crab Rangoon and sushi to pizza, popcorn and cotton candy) . The egg drop soup and won ton soups were very good. Our server was very attentive even though they seemed very busy (Friday @ 6pm). Our drinks were always kept full and our used plates and bowls were quickly removed. I almost took off a star because I was a little weirded out by the ice cream scoops at the hard ice cream bar- They provide two scopes for the 8 (if I remember correctly) ice cream flavors. The scopes were kept in a bowl/sink of water. There must have been some sort of drain at the bottom of the bowl as they had a small faucet that continued to trickle clean water into the bowl. Maybe it was perfectly ok, but it didnt set well with me. Anyhow, 5 stars for everything else.

I visited this restaurant the other day with some friends. I asked to break a 10 dollar bill so my other buddies could evenly pay the outrageous buffet bill and give each of the 5 scamming waitresses tips. They REFUSED! We ended up having to pay more than necessary for a complete scam. These imports will do anything for a dollar! In the middle of my meal i felt like i was going to puke so I was bending over in a manner to do it away from everybody else, I managed to hold it back and asked for some more water but the waitress took insult to my puking motion and completely ignored me. Before I left, i decided to brandish a 100 dollar bill to the lady up front at the register and asked if she would be willing to have sex with me and she called the cops! Not to mention I did have very unpleasant diarrhea the next day.

First, I would give this a negative star rating if it were possible. Tonight was a horrible experience, 8/23/17 @ 4:30 p.m. During the first pass the food looked good, but must have been out too long as the green beans were off color, the stuffed shrimp was sour and the shrimp was tough and chewy. Also, the soda was flat. The worse part of it is that it was very difficult to find wait staff given there were only a couple on the floor for the entire restaurant. Also, NO MANAGER ON DUTY when we asked. The staff offered no solution and still charged us full price. We had a few good experiences in the past year and accounted for it being an off night; however, the treatment of the situation by staff was inexcusable regardless of circumstances.

One of the best, if not the best chinese buffet in Harrisburg area. There is so much to choose from. I love the fish. Diners love it so much, that they sometimes wait for it because the moment its put on the buffet table its gone. There are sushi, mongolian and american choices too. They have a wide variety of Hershey ice cream to choose from. But my favorite is the sesame ball. Its always hot and fresh. If you are trying to lose weight, that is not the place for you. The price is very reasonable. You will get more bang for your buck. Service is great too. Parking area could be improve. Most of the times its busy so you have to park in the back. It doesnt look or smell good. But hey I go there to eat not to park.

The selection was confusing, why have American dishes? Supposed to be Asian. They had very little Asian dishes, but have pot roast, mashed potatoes, pizza, Mac n cheese. Wheres the pepper steak? The sweet and sour chicken was mushy and under cooked, the roasted chicken was undercooked. Chicken on a stick was as well. Everything was bland. To start, they do not serve sweet tea, but they do serve unsweetened tea. The dishes on the line were still dirty, slimy with food still stuck to it. The inside was beautiful, but misleading as the quality of food wasnt anything to compare. If youre looking for decent Asian cuisine, youll be upset.

Ill admit, after looking at the negative reviews, I was very skeptical of this place. Wow, boy was I pleasantly surprised! The interior looked very modern and casual. The food was phenomenal, especially all the different kinds of sushi they have. On top of all that, they have a cotton candy machine!! This is the first buffet that I have ever been to that has a freaking cotton candy machine! The only minor complaint is that the service could have been better, but i suppose that is due to the language barrier. Overall, my experience was excellent and I will definitely be coming back.
