Ive been to Landis Store Hotel many times in the past and always had an absolutely exquisite meal. Its been about five or so years since I was there, and some friends suggested we go there for dinner, and I immediately agreed. While their new outdoor eating area is beautiful, I saw their reasoning to jack up prices and lower quality to help pay for it all. Our young waitress sucked. Big time. She knew nothing about the menu and was not personable. She didnt offer to ask the chef how something was prepared, but instead offered a blank stare and silence. Our water went without being refilled during the entire meal, and our bread went without being replenished even after we asked for it. The lettuce in our salads were room temperature, though the dressing was cold and delicious. My trout was dried out, my husbands french fries were oily and mushy, and again, the waitress did not offer a replacement for the uneaten fries even after my husband told her they were the worst fries he ever ate (they really were horrible). My sister received four small previously-frozen mushy scallops, and my cousin said her veal tasted like an "Encore" frozen entree. Most disappointing, however, was my dessert. I got the white chocolate raspberry creme brulee, which Ive gotten in the past. The portion shrank to about half of what it used to be, and the granulated sugar on top was not carmelized; it was served granulated. Such a shame. Ill never go back for a meal. I was so disappointed, and once thought this restaurant was one of the very few exquisite restaurants in the area; no more. Quality has gone way down, and our waitress had no business working in a field dealing with customers. I wrote a letter to the owners telling them about our experience, and they never responded.

We eat at Landis Store 5-6 times per year, mostly for special occasions or brunch. The food is always fantastic. I usually order scallops or a fish dish but have tried their filet. All of it is wonderful. The tuna appetizer is seared to a perfect rare. If there is something I would like that is not on the menu, they will try to make it or alter a dish to your liking. Although a bit "outdated" inside, its quaint, the staff is very attentive, they have a rolling list of beers and regular martini features. Theres a beautiful outdoor patio which is perfect in the warmer months to dine outside. A home run if youre looking for a special place to take someone or a regular spot that is always consistently great.

We love..absolutely love the Landis Store Hotel. The Roquefort beet salad is to die for..well its one of my favorites. I frequently get the duck. On summer nights, the patio is our favorite spot..truly has to be experienced. A glass or two or three of white sangria..oh now were talking...reservations in summer are a must. My wife usually gets the pasta dish. The menu is continuously changing, and frequently has seasonal specialties. It is pretty pricey, not a cheap place by any means. Upscale gourmet dining.

Landis Store is one of the best restaurants around. The food is excellent, the menu is dynamic and everything is freshly made. Excellent service and prices are in line with the quality that youre getting. They even seem to keep their online menu up to date daily. If youre in the area and want an upclass meal at a place thats not too fancy, I strongly recommend Landis Store.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. The menu changes almost every day which gives me so many new options to try. Their soups are to die for, and their meals are amazing. My wife and I try to come here as much as we can. We feel great supporting a local business with quality food, and a great staff. Kudos!

Didnt have our reservation, but we were seated right away.Menu is different than what is posted. Prices are wrong on site I.e. the filet listed for $30 is actually $40. Lots of problems with service and food was just okay. Manager did comp our meal, but not sure I would give them a second chance.

Landis Store is an amazing restaurant not to mention a beautiful atmosphere. Its very upscale but not pretentious. The outdoor area is beautiful. The food is superb. I really enjoy going to Landis Store!
