Diners beware..... This has been the very worst experience I had ever had dining out in my life. This past Friday, my family and I travel down to Woodburn to do some shopping. we are from the Seattle area. On our way back we stopped by Mai Asia restaurant for dinner before heading back up. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 main courses. Mine was the BBQ pork and egg-roll noodle. When the food arrived, I noticed that the egg-roll was under cooked. It has pork meat inside and consuming raw pork can be detrimental to your health. I reported to the establishment and subsequently got two replacement. Unfortunately, the replacements were also under cooked. I reported again and let it go. We just did not consume them. After we paid the bill (standard 15% gratuity was included) we proceeded to go outside to travel back home. As we walked past the counter, the older gentleman, who I assume was the short cook, decided to let us know how he really feel. Verbatim," You F_ _ _ing Vietnamese guys you do nothing but complaint. Dont F_ _ _ing coming back here no more. I dont want to F_ _ _ ing see you guys." He proceeded to say much much more. My family and I decided to just leave. As we were outside, about to enter my car to go home, he came rushing out and unleash many many more of his very colorful vocabulary. I ate. Paid the bill with my hard earn money. And yet still got reprimanded for being a well paid customer. I strong urge all diners to be careful while dining at this establishment. Under-cooked food especially pork can lead to many many complications. And especially if you are dining with your family particularly with younger children......BEWARE of the explicit language. I WOULD NEVER EVER RETURN.

This is a fantastic place for Vietnamese food in Tualatin. I have had several items and all are made fresh and with good ingredients. I was a little sceptical at first. I passed by after trying a few other "Asian" restaurants in the area with disappointing results thinking that it would be similarly poor quality but finally I had to try it out. I was blown away by how good it was. You need to go here and put food in your belly. Get the Bun or the curry - the shrimp is fresh and plump with no ammonia taste, the lemongrass beef is savory and the crunchy onion bits add a great zing to the meal. The satay is the only thing that is not up to standards. It has been tough and overcooked but the peanut sauce makes up for it. I think they fry the satay and that would explain it. Salad rolls are great. Tea etc... great. Service is really good. Nice people making great food.

Delicious hole in the wall = my kind of food find. I wandered in with a boyfriend three years ago after we checked out Yelp reviews. I know nothing of "authenticity" for Vietnamese / South East Asian food, but Ive come back many, many times, even traveled from an hour away, just to get my regular order of their chicken wings and spicy noodle soup (I call it a Phở, but it might technically not be--whatever its classification, its "pho-king" delicious. That pork meat loaf + broth is TO DIE FOR). Every time the owner recognizes me, remembers my order, and thanks me for continuing to come in. Ive taken two family members and four best friends there on separate occasions, and they order differently than I do (phở bò, salad rolls, stir-fry egg noodles, etc.) and still love their meals just as much! Theyre also fast, friendly, and attentive!

When you walk in its a little disarming, its small and basic. The menu and the hosts really start to improve things. They have a good selection of dishes, many Vietnamese style entrees. Once you get the food though, thats when it gets good. I ordered a W3, Red Curry and Pineapple. It isnt often something I eat makes me pause and admire the burst of flavors, but this dish did just that. I recommend giving them a few tries, sample a few things (Vietnamese inspired hot wings with carmelized fish sauce!?!), you wont be disappointed.

great Vietnamese food try the lotus salad with shrimp, fried rice, and salad rolls are the best i have eaten in Oregon fresh and perfect. the cost is reasonable also. ATTENTION: I JUST RETURNED FROM ASIA... THE MAI ASIA RESTAURANT is still my favorite place in the USA and it exceeds most places in Vietnam also. The food here is better than Vietnam. so if your a person who like good Vietnamese food go try this one. its in a strip mall but dont let that affect your judgement.

Definitely one of the best Vietnamese and Pho places in Portland. We havent had a bad dish yet. It can get very busy during weekday lunches so plan accordingly. Meals can sometime take a little bit after you order but its a small family establishment and everything comes out hot and very fresh so its worth a small wait. Owners are very friendly.

I went here for lunch today, Im eating the leftovers right now for dinner, its that good. The lunch crowd was, like, 3 other people, which was kinda sad... cuz this place RULEZ. Basically the same prices as Bambuza, but 2 gazilion times better, and minus the line. Plus super friendly service. Equals awesome. Eat here for lunch.

This place is so underrated. Yen Mai is such a good chef. The homemade chili sauce is worth the trip alone. Lunch special is a killer deal and full of flavor. Not your ordinary lunch. My dad practically lives on the Pho as it is easy on his stomach. You wont be disappointed.

My favorite dish here is the red coconut curry with chicken. It is the only dish I get there now! For those who must eat gluten free, they have several options, but they are not noted on their new menu. Be sure to ask!

My girlfriend and I have been trying new restaurants in the area and we found a gem! The staff makes you feel like your being invited into their home. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing meal!

Love the quiet atmosphere and music choice, and the (presumable) owner is super nice, while also being quick and efficient, which is really nice when you just need something to go. Extra bonus: jelly cups!

First time to visit, it is just great! Their tastes are more South East Asia fusion than simple Vietnamese, very tasty. Pho Ga was great and Pho xao was super! I will be back soon!

the cooks hygiene was terrible she kept blowing her nose as she was preparing our food, needless to say it got worse when at least one of those times she did not wash her hands
