It makes me sad to write this review. I have been a frequent customer of this café, but I cant excuse the poor service any longer. There is a difference between a slower pace of life in the country and terrible service. The last time I was in my waitress was snarky and rude. When I asked for a straw for my drink she said, "the straws are right over there" and pointed to a self serve counter. If I wanted self serve I wouldnt be paying $10.00 for a sandwich. No refills of water or sodas unless you managed to track someone down and then the request was met with a sigh and a huff. I asked for my salad before my sandwich and when they were brought out together instead the waitress was flat out rude, then she disappeared. The cook waited on the entire dining room after that. I thought the waitress must have gone off duty but she was still there, stacking glasses in the back. One couple came in and actually had to walk up to the counter to ask if someone could take their order. I am not sure why they cant keep decent wait staff - maybe it is their communal tipping policy. I know if I was sharing tips with people who clearly could care less, Id move on so I wouldnt be punished for their apathy. The food is consistently good, but the service is consistently terrible. Dining out is about the entire experience and this is a case where the front of the house ruins it for the back of the house. Sorry Trish and Terri, but until you manage to find and keep good wait staff, we wont be back.

We stopped in to have quick bite on a road trip day. Looked very quaint on the outside, but, the inside looks more like a cafeteria. We got our menus, the server was nice enough, we looked at the menu, and WOW, those prices are high. For a small town in a rural area, they have 5 star pricing. We got our food, which was good, but not that good, to pay those prices, especially on a lunch menu. I dont foresee us going back to that place.

This place is wonderful. As I read the other comments I have to wonder if this is coming from individuals that do not know how to slow down and take the time to let the whole experience consume them. Each and every server takes the time to greet you and help you. Also the food is wonderful. I love going here and will return several more times with my family.

Scratch made food by Tia the owner most days. This spot is the local coffee stop for unassuming very well off local business men & women. The prices are fair and the food is healthy unlike many places that pour on the oil when cooking. Dont be fooled by imitations this spot is the real Coffee House in the real covered bridge capital of the west.

Friendly service and home style cooking. I love going here. The food is very good. It can take a little more time, but it is worth it! I think the owner cook and staff are friendly and I personally have told a lot of people when they are in the area to try it out. I hope they are there for a very long time.

I have the pleasure of eating lunch here 5 days a week and I can assure you the food and service are both outstanding. Like every eatery out there, they have the occasional bump in the road and you may have to wait a little longer but overall I think they outshine most small town cafes!

Fantastic restaurant. Food was excellent as was the service. Ive never encountered such a friendly environment. Loved the feel of place, a nice atmosphere that doesnt make you feel rushed. Truly a great experience, even with my two slightly rowdy boys.

The food was good. Everything is a tad pricey, but the service is very friendly and genuine, and the food is all very fresh and homemade. Will not hesitate to come back. I took some pics of the menu so you can see what all is available.
