I have never written a review before, but I had to just for this place. (That sounds like I am an undercover Oswego employee, but I promise I am just a happy customer :) ) The food was excellent. I did not know I liked dates until I tried the bacon wrapped dates with a creme cheese filling (I think). They were excellent! I had the blue cheese burger wrapped in lettuce and it was fantastic. What really got me though was the service. We had an excellent female, blonde waiter last night who was very helpful and kind. Also, the manager (I am assuming that was his position) checked on us often. Finally, it was my friends birthday and they surprised her with a handwritten card signed by the staff and a banana split that was fabulously large. All without asking on our part…it was an amazing, spontaneous surprise! Overall, great experience to say the least. The food was a slightly higher price for a poor college student, but it was worth it for the amazing food and the service. I would go again next time I have the money.

Higher end restaurant in Lake Oswego. It serves quality food and is even somewhat kid friendly too which is rare for a place like this. They have excellent salads and steaks and kid loves the real mac and cheese is not a kraft substitute or anything and they have an adult version with bacon and other meats, yumm. The reason for 4 stars? The parking, dear god. Its in Centerpointe and the parking there is beyond horrible. Between this and Chipotle there isnt any parking left. We always have to have a backup destination in case there is no parking. Sad that we have to do that but its how it is though so be warned. If you can park though then youll be super happy. Just remember its not a cheap place.

Great happy hour! $3-6 for each dish and with decent portions. We tried the banana split for dessert, the presentation was impressive but we were disappointed with the lacking amount of ice cream it had underneath a load of random things not normally found in a banana split (strawberries, pineapple, etc.). It was a failed attempt at making an original favorite into something more gourmet. Seafood chowder soup of the day was great. Artichoke and spinach dip was very strong in artichoke flavor. You will leave with a full belly though. Service was good, mainly because we had a good waitress. Have always gone here for HH and sat in the bar, have not tried regular meal times nor sat on restaurant side.

In Portland and staying nearby. Grabbed some take out for a family of 4 and was pretty pleased. Everyone grabbed burgers, the adult burgers at half a pound are more than enough to share which we did for our toddler. The kids meal burger is pretty large as well. The fries that came with them, natural cut, were plentiful and cooked well (not too crisp, not too soggy). My only complaint was the side salads we ordered with out meals. At $6 each they were almost as much as the cheeseburger and while they tasted fine... That seemed a little steep for a simple house side salad. Service at pick up was friendly and pleasant. Would eat here again.

Liked the salads I have tried, but the service is terrible! I work nearby and have gone to lunch there a few times (not a lot of places have decent salads ...) It has twice taken over 2 hours for a salad and dessert, plus bread. water and coffee. Theres no excuse for that taking 2 hours!!! The issue is not, I do not think, the speed at which the food is made -- its sitting there waiting for the lazy and rude waiter to take your order! And this time I met the fake-nice manager (as other reviewers have described him -- very accurate.) I suppose I am just going to have to not go back, but Chipotle gets old ....

The experience continues to please. As a business luncheon spot, the noise level works great. As a date-night, pre-movie spot, its a fantastic happy hour. Get there early for either as the parking situation is "tight" to say the least. On a personal note. we so missed the ambiance & fare of "the establishment that shall not be named" pre-RUI acquisition. The owners have exceeded expectations in bringing back the favorites while adding to the place with the love & care needed to make the concept work. Thank you David & Christy and Bud & Kathy - the Bob Farrell "Give em a Pickle" heart comes through.

The staff was super nice, and friendly. The food was terrific, and the service was great (the employees watched out for each others tables, making sure we had drinks, clearing dishes, asking if we needed anything). We visited the day after a small, but bad, snow storm had demobilized the Portland Metro area and we were surprised they were open for an early lunch. I especially appreciated how happy and friendly everyone was to be at work, when no one was sure what the weather would bring that day, and what their commute home would look like that evening. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

We made a reservation expecting it to be busy on their 3rd evening open. It was not busy at all and we were relieved. I walked in and I felt like I was at Stanfords across the street - we ordered an appetizer (cheese, artichoke, and spinach dip) and it came right away - very similar to stanfords spinach dip also. The drinks were average. We then waited 30 minutes for our food to come out. Frustrating. The food was excellent! We were pleasantly surprised at how well prepared it was. I would highly recommend the Chicken Alfredo Oswego - this is not your average alfredo.

The food was boring. It looked nice but was tasteless. I was advised of one price for my entree which was an option not marked on the menu & then the bill showed a much higher price. When I brought it to the server*s attention, she said, "No I quoted it at that price." When we paid the bill, the same server gave back the wrong change shorting us by $15. We had to work hard to flag her down to get her back to correct the problem. A Nice Looking Place - but thats all they have to offer. I will not return.

My new husband and I had our wedding dinner there last weekend and they made it one to remember! The staff was professional and helpful and the owners came out to personally greet us. Later on in the dinner they came out with a bouquet of roses, a wonderful chocolate cake, a gift card and a card signed by the entire staff! That was their wedding present to us and we had never been there before! Great people, great food and great atmosphere, you cant go wrong with this place!

It is always a pleasure to find a restaurant where everyone puts so much effort into making a place click. For a new independent restaurant they obviously paid a great deal of attention to getting it right. Service was great. Busy on a weeknight. The menu is extensive and well thought out with a range of entrees at reasonable price points. We had 12 in our dinner party ordering different entrees, appetizers, and desserts and everyone was very happy. We will be back often.
