I have been going to the Stowaway for almost 20 years and it has always been a safe and friendly local pub that you could feel comfortable in. Over the last couple of years that has all change, the crowd in growing loud and obnoxious, vulgar language and extremely loud music. This is all during the mid-afternoon to early evening hours when folks are coming in to relax and eat dinner. The owner promotes this type of crowd which makes many of the regulars uncomfortable. The only thing that the Stowaway has going for it are the Bartenders they are friendly and attentive. In the the t two years the place has gone completely down hill, the bathrooms are disgustingly dirty, half the time the urinals are not working and the clientele is no better. Recently a young women was found in the womens bathroom the victim of an apparent drug overdose, as tragic as this is the owner didnt even close the bar for the rest of the evening! How insensitive of the owner to actually put more of an emphasis on making money than the death of won of the patrons. I for one am going to steer clear of the Stowaway for several reasons, the owner who took over the management duties just a year and a half ago has no clue who has supported the business for years she doesnt appreciate the people who patronize the Stowaway every day and do not cause problems or other patrons she would rather have the low lifes and dregs of society as her clientele, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!

Been coming here for almost 20 yrs. I for one like the majority of everything about it. You get what you pay for, and the staff has always been great along with the food. My only gripe would be the lack of drink specials, definitely during happy hour. You do have the occasional chumps, but thats any bar... Will continue to be a patron...

Ive been here twice, and the food is excellent. Yeah, its a pub, but the homemade sauces, wings, burgers are far better than what Ive had in Kent, BW3, and QS. My wife and I will be back for St. Pats, for the specials and the much talked about cheese cake.
