Their coffee is amazing. I drink my coffee black, and every bean Ive tried here has been great for that. They have drip, pour over, espresso, tea, and chai. For food they have a small selection of sandwiches (including a breakfast sandwich), some pastries and small, individually wrapped packaged snacks. The place is a little small. There are about 6-8 small round tops that hold two people for food, or four can crowd around for coffee. They have Wi-Fi and power. There are a few couches, two bars at the front windows (seating roughly four each), and one small sitting area with a couch, two chairs and a coffee table. They roast their beans in house so the coffee is super fresh. They responsibly source their beans. They occasionally have live music, but it is a small space so its always something intimate. Prices beat Starbucks. And like I said, I drink my coffee black, and here no cream, sugar, our syrup is required to cover up sub-part coffee. Of course those things are stock available! The quality far surpasses Starbucks. Far surpasses. Give them a shot and grab a cup at Upper Cup Coffee. You will be pleased.

Somehow, I havent reviewed Upper Cup yet. I love this place. We moved to the neighborhood recently, and instantly felt welcome. Everyone who works there is friendly and patient. Theyll chat if you feel like chatting; theyll leave you be if you want some peace and quiet. The coffee is great. Its all pour-over, which is pretty delicious. Fear not, though; this isnt some pretentious cafe. They just care about making good stuff. The fact that everything is ridiculously reasonably priced rounds out how accessible it all is. Its this weird mix of cool, unpretentious, high-quality, and low-cost that reflects all the great qualities of the surrounding neighborhood. Id recommend it every day of the week.

I visited today, and usually 5x a week. Love this place - they roast the coffee in store on Tuesdays (at least) and the brew is awesome. I typically drink my coffee black and love the acidity and flavors these folks come up with. Their story is even better, born in Eritrea and emigrated to the U.S. when they were kids, they are children of Columbus and budding entrepreneurs. Look for their next location in Gahanna by Creekside! Best $1.85 cup of coffee in Columbus! Make sure you keep coming to Upper Cup during the year long Parsons Avenue Olde Towne Gateway revival. We need places like Upper Cup in our neighborhood!

I love this place. I know most of the coffee houses in Columbus and this is my favorite. The coffee is great - they roast it on site. They also serve bagels, a few sandwiches and snacks. The atmosphere is really friendly. Diverse, lively crowd. The music on rotation ranges from indie rock to reggae to free jazz to hip hop. And there are plenty of outlets to plug in my laptop. So: perfect. Also I buy the espresso here to roast at home. Best in town. Really.

Upper Cup is a really great place. Every drink I tried had such good flavor, and was inexpensive. I tried a sandwich once and the ingredients looked and tasted very fresh. Its a good place to take your laptop or a friend. They also have little bits of quick food like bananas or protein bars if you are in a hurry before work. You can also buy fresh bagged coffee to take home.

My favorite coffee shop in Columbus. I get a cappuccino every time I stop in because in my opinion they are the best in town and give you a delicious perfect all day kick. Baristas are always friendly and provide a vibe that doesnt make you feel like youre forcing someone to provide a service for you. Get your coffee here, you wont be disappointed.

Really friendly baristas and funky/hipster vibe coffee shop. Really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere and spent an hour or so getting work done. The coffee shop is located in a cute little area and I was able to find parking just a few blocks away. Can’t comment on the coffee but their chai was pretty delicious. (:

The vibe is warm and diverse with a mixture of artists and business meetings with a sprinkle of students. The coffee is top notch and service is great. The owners, two brothers, are local and encourage partnership with local businesses. Everytime I come home, I make my upper cup stop.

Upper Cup has the best coffee in Columbus. They roast coffee beans onsite and have multiple varieties of beans for sale to brew at home. Its great coffee to serve guests. This coffee shop is what I miss most about Old Town. Great atmosphere if you want to meet up for coffee with friends

Had some time to kill in the area, so I stopped for a cup. I didnt order anything fancy. Just a cup of coffee, and it was solid. Looks like they roast their own on premises. Great atmosphere. Some couches along with tables and chairs. Will come back whenever I can.

The coffee was OK. We got lattes and werent really impressed. Its not like it was bad by any means, just not worth a drive from Dublin. I could see it being better if you like black coffee or pour overs or whatever. Nice guys running the place.

Local coffee shop and roasters. Great cup of coffee, and they serve it a variety of ways. I prefer a pour-over Colombian, which has nice flavor and good levels of caffeine. Theres something for everyone, and the shop itself has a cool vibe.

Incredible coffee shop. Great atmosphere, great baristas and exceptional service. Try a pour over. The Peru and Brazil are the bomb. Did I mention the great prices. Worth a stop for the quintessential Columbus Experience.

This is absolutely my favorite coffee place. The menu of coffee and beverages is solid. The food is not a lot of variety, but whats here is real good. Chill music, warm environment. So quality. Much relax.

The coffee is roasted onsite and it is delicious. Columbus has a lot of good coffee places, but this is one of the best. I like the iced pour-over, and even their house coffee is great.

Stopped in here on the way to work and grabbed a large black coffee and a muffin. Very inexpensive and cool environment inside. I like that they roast their coffee on site.
